Today I was using Twitter when my phone suddenly rebooted and then it brought me to a screen which says "Enter Password to decrypt storage" and that 30 attempts would wipe the device.
Well Ive never encrypted my device and I tried typing in 30 random things in order for it to wipe but nothing happens, Ive also tried booting into TWRP recovery but it just hangs.
What should I do?

Hi, help...
After low power off I've attached my N7 (4.2, no root) to original charger as always.
After reboot i had monit to write a password for decrypt device (I saw it first time, and I didnt set any password).
I've came to recovery and choose wipe, but after hour wipe didnt complete.
I've done reset and chose factory reset after reboot. And now N7 it stucks on "Erasing..." after another hour I dont know what to do...
Of course adb devices of fastboot device give me an empty list. Drivers installed of course.
Please help...
for people that are getting to the point of "enter a password" for the device to decrypt, it means that force_no_encrypt successfully got put into your system, but power off at this part and boot into your bootloader and go into recovery mode, then do a wipe. That boot.img of the no_force_encrypt is already installed, once you restart the phone it should be all good and your phone should not have encryption and you can check that in "security"

Yeah, once you've got that flashed, you'll need to do a factory reset. If you're using TWRP, you'll also need to hit "format data" so you don't get stuck in an endless loop where it asks for a password and a factory reset.
Hey All,
Just got the 3T even though it says its still shipping! LOL
Once I've set up, the OTA arrives and I download it and reboot to install, it says its failed then reboots to a Decryption Unsuccessful Error with some blurb about storage being damaged and forces me to reset phone.
I haven't set a finger print or anything, could it be defective or am I missing something? Thanks!!
#edit hard reset (recovery - advanced - wipe everything) fixed it FYI..
Booting to recovery

TWRP has issue decrypting keys created under OS 3.5.1 , update to 3.5.3, change your encryption key and try again to decrypt in recovery
Had the same issue. Pretty funny how the phone manages to **** up five minutes after being unboxed.
HI!
I was using fusion os 8.0 so when I reboot the phone yesterday it asked me for a pin...
I entered twrp and tried by deleting the .key archives and lockscreen.sha and the related files.
After that I tried again with my last password but didn't work. After entering several wrong passwords the phone did a factory reset and right now I have negative attempts on entering the pin... The phone boots to a black screen with a prompt asking for a number, a keyboard and an emergency call button.
I can enter to twrp and I have an old miui 9 backup
I'v got a problem after flashing los16. After the nexus 6 reboot I've got a screen where I have to enter the password to start android. After that there is a screen that show's "encryption unsuccessful... the password is correct but your data are damaged...you have to do a factory reset..."
After the factory reset the phone starts automatically and ends in the same screen
Did anyone get this message? I'm unable to boot into lineageOS.
Twrp version 3.2.3.0
Thanks for your help
In twrp, select wipe-> format data/ factory reset. And that's it!
