Does anyone currently plan to port TWRP to the Xperia T?
I'm no developer but I'd love to see a port of TWRP on my device.
I might try to do it myself following TeamWin's guides but I'd be a bit worried about bricking devices, especially my own!
if u brick theres always sony's restore program!
Sounds good, which one?
Just flash a stock .ftf firmware file with flashtool
Or use Sony update service, or pc companion

Thats becuae we have to unlock the bootloader to install custom roms at the moment.
But, you can always flash .ftfs in flashtool.
I got unlocked my bootloader and used custom kernels until i got the .67 update from hongkong, unfortunately my phone keeps detecting new update for 9.1.b.1.67 not only in pc companion but also in my notification bar.
My question now is, shall i accept the update? Thank you

Simple, no
Don't accept any OTA firmware if you unlocked bootloader
You can update firmware via flashtool by downloading stock FTF firmware

Very good advice. Don't do OTA
If there is no ftf posted you can make one
Use PCCompanion and use the "repair" option. It will download the necessary files to flash your phone but will fail to flash because if your unlocked bootloader.
Then use flashtool to make the ftf from the downloaded files which ou can then flash in flashtool
the instructions on how to do this are in the all in one thread

You must flash the stock rom using flashtool -> relock the bootloader -> restore TA partition

I'm on ihackers 2.1 ROM android 4.3
rooted
unlocked bootloader
I wanted to go back to stock to C6902_14.2.A.0.290
I found the method but I'm not sure if this is the right way http://lionking853.blogspot.co.uk/2013/11/how-to-go-back-to-stock-firmware-on.html
and if it is the right way, after going back to stock ROM, will my phone unroot and relock again?
Can I just go ahead and do this or must I relock bootloader first?
please help me since I never done this before, only rooted and unlock that I did.
Thank you so much folks

If you have an unlocked bootloader, you will not be able to update using PC Companion. I didnt know all this **** were involved in Sony phones.
I had unlocked my bootloader a couple of days back, didnt know I had to backup my DRM keys and ended up losing my warranty. Now I cant even update my phone using the official updating method.
BTW... the recovery is bundled with the kernel, thats why people refer to it as flashing a kernel instead of recovery. I didnt know this until 2 days back.
Thanks

If you do have a TA backup then you don't have to do anything else then restoring it on a stock rooted firmware..If you don't then use flashtool to relock it..
Revert back for more help..
Hit Thanks if I helped you..

If I am on a Locked Bootloader and on a rooted custom ROM, will Sony PC Companion detect my phone when the next update comes??
This is stupid. If you are in 4.3 (.290) with un-locked boot loader you cant update via PC companion or SUS.
I ended up going to 534 (4.2) via flashtool. Root it, restore TA backup and then use SUS to update. And flashing the latest 4.3 via Flashtool din work.
No PC Companion or SUS won't detect your phone.. You've to manually flash a valid ftf from Flashtool.. Then you can connect & update your phone through PC Companion or SUS..
