There is a function called voice control in setting section in gear manager.
This function allow you to answer or reject call by voice on your neo 2
But it has never been working. Any one find it working???
My amazon fire tv phone control is not working
I bought a amazon fire tv one year ago and stoped to use it for few months. When I've tried to turn on it again, the voice control did not work. I change the AAA Batteries but nothing happens. Now, I just can't use my fire tv. What can I do???
Thanks fellows

Umm...dunno...post in the AFTV forum? This is dedicated to Samsung Gear. Neo...may wanna take your post to the right place.
As for the original question, I have the same problem...they indicate that the "answer"/"reject" phrase has to be spoken BETWEEN rings, but I could never get it to work. On either software.

Are there any apps out there for android that allow you to connect your phone via bluetooth to the tablet and have any calls or texts get routed to the tab just like most car bluetooth systems do? Would love to have the tab replace the entire car system. Nav and music is great but this would put it over the top!!
I know it isn't exactly what you're looking for, but if your tab has a cell number you can always configure your phone to forward texts to it...
You want yo use the tab as a bluetooth car-kit?
Neat idea
I just bought a new car stereo that had bluetooth. Now my music, nav directions and calls go through my car speakers

Can do that pretty easy but what I want is the Tab to be the head unit and pull the calls and texts from the droid phone. The tab is a way cooler and programmer friendly device than any stereo head unit. If someone could point me to any exampls of accessing the bluetooth stack I may find the time to dig in to it myself.
OHH man, i work for Vodafone NZ, and I've been playing with the tab for a few days now. IT IS AWESOME. I have been trying to find a solution to this exact thing. I would love to have the TAB and another android phone (prob galaxy 580) but only have one number, when i'm using the tab i want call and txt to go to there, when I'm not i want to use the phone... get back to me if you have any ideas, i know you can route 3G connection... thats a start...
Food for Though
One more note: is Bluetooth the best option? The tab also has WIFI....?
What does the new blackberry play-book use to connect the blackberry phone? They can reportedly do this exact thing....
Textab
Found Textab after hours of google only works for text messages... can be found on the market here's is the link to the creator http://www.xoomforums.com/forum/motorola-xoom-apps/6931-textab-sms-send-sms-through-your-android-phone-via-your-android-tablet.html
i wish i could find something like the "BlackBerry Bridge" for our android devices would be awesome
I just posted this about TexTab and our Tab 7:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1191822
There is a link in that thread to the point in the developer's thread where I discuss it... and today I posted screenshots in the developer's thread as well.

I would pay for an app like that. Essentially it would be exactly as you stated, an app that makes your tab function like a car head unit, or bluetooth headset, having the ability to control your phones call functions and media controls. With the added ability to send and receive text messages.
I remember back in the day someone showed me a program on a PocketPC (may have been an iPAQ) that had SIM card access over bluetooth, depending on the bluetooth stack on the phone it should have been able to control phone calls over bluetooth.
Would love to see something like this on the SGT.
SyncSMS
Textab. From Samsung apps seems to work OK. It's sounds like its should be better/more fun than it really ends up being IMO but its a cool "LAN party" trick geek style

Desperately looking for this too!!
I actually more interested in being able to make and receive calls from my tablet so I can leave my phone in my pocket or backpack while using the tab, I would definetly pay for this app!!
Search tablet talk on the google play store

Actually I bout my galaxy 7 months ago and I installed it on my car by car mount. It is my navigator, music player and ... but I need to add two things more:
First: I want to use it as my TV in my car by using external TV tuner (Digital or Analog). Is it possible? Is there any accessory for me to do this? Any solving way?
Second : I want to connect my flash memory to my phone to play music from my flash memory like so many car audio systems . is there any way for this ?
and the last , is there any software that has this ability to read SMSs loudly ? Because when I`m driving it is impossible for me to read my SMSs.
thank you allllll

Lol. Unfortunately he is right.
With the read SMS, there are plenty apps on the market that can do this. Give them a try to find personal preference.

Could you please send us a picture from your installation? I am curious how did you do that. Thanks
If you were in South Africa your wish would have come true... one of the local satellite providers (Multichoice / DSTV) offer a device called the Drifta that you pair with your Android device and you are then able to watch TV on your device.
Do a google search for "DSTV Drifta"
so he's not a fool after all if this drifta is true
and I dont know which one is more of a fool when someone asking an external tv tuner to watch tv in his car and someone answered to stream it via wifi
unless your city is shrouded with wifi all over
in some country where wifi is not abundant and 3g is still sluggish, tv is still a main activity throughout the day, open your vision to a bigger world, you;re not living in a box. they sell galaxy tab there too
if i'm not mistaken, the brazilian galaxy tab is equipped with tv tuner?
so maybe there's a possibility of that , and maybe that's why he's asking
there's nothing wrong with that
a simple answer "No, it doesnt exist" would be much nicer without the fool remark

Well put! I agree with your sentiment
Slingbox
You can even control your home cable box with it, last I used it you needed wifi, but that was years ago
Im from South Africa and I own a Samsung GT-P1000. All you do is purchase the little drifter box from Multichoice, then download and install DSTV Decoder app from Samsung Apps icon on your device.
Open the DSTV Decoder app, connect your drifter, enter your Smartcard number of your home DSTV and vwala, there you go TV on the road on your Tab
Korean version of the galaxy tab has a built-in tv tuner. If your country supports the dmb type of broadcast then that is what you need
It's got keys specifically for a smartphone and tablet. Most keys work for the Galaxy Note 2. Lock screen (double press for S Voice), home, mute, vol up, down, play/pause, next track, prev track, hold f3 for google voice search, or just press f3 for google now, hold home for task manager. And it's over bluetooth. Save that USB OTG for something else.
Brand names for same device: Sanoxy, Ankor, Inapro, etc, etc...You can find it easily on amazon, or amazon like store for your country.

Could you post the Amazon link you got it from? Would probably help others to track down a similar keyboard at regional sites.

All you had to do was search for "bluetooth keyboard ipad" like the OP said lol
First hit - http://www.amazon.com/SANOXY-Blueto...13932&sr=8-1&keywords=bluetooth+ipad+keyboard
How much range does one get with one of these keyboards? Could you have your phone hooked up to the TV via MHL and sit on your couch and use it? Or is it a short distance only?
Hi, I'm not sure if this has been asked before, but I have tried searching countless times and found nothing. Maybe, I just can't decide how to word my question on Google, but I'll try here.
I want to know if there's a way to pair a regular (feature/smart) phone to the TouchPad running Android over bluetooth like in WebOS. WebOS originally allowed other WebOS phones, then allowed all phones. I know there's an app called "Tablet Talk" and others similar to it, but this only allow texting or accepting calls through a bluetooth headset.
I believe this was a really neat feature in WebOS. I was able to leave the phone on charge in another room and be able to make receive calls from my phone.
NOTE: I'm [bold]not[/bold] looking for GroveIP, Talkatone, Google Voice/SIP, Tablet Talk, Textap, etc...
Thank you.

Hello I have a couple fire 10 11th generation tablets on one of them I've lost the ability for voice dictation. Voice dictation is actually greyed out in the Amazon settings for the built-in Amazon keyboard. So there is no microphone available for that keyboard. I have Google Play services installed and even with the gboard it does not work the microphone is present but when pressing it it doesn't turn blue and activate. It also does not have the microphone icon in the top right hand corner always on like in the another 11th gen I have. On the tablet with the microphone icon always present in the top right hand corner the microphone works in gboard and will do voice dictation.
I've installed Google voice search and I'm able to use the microphone to search on Chrome but the microphone still does not work in gboard. That's the most important.
I've also tried Microsoft SwiftKey keyboard I can get the microphone to come on it acts like it's listening but it will not text.
I've been trying to set these up to give them away to some family members but I like to at least that function to be working. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I use fire toolbox v30.3 and I've tried a lot of trouble shooting turning on permissions for the microphone trying google Assistant. Factory resetting and trying again, several times. I received this tablet already updated.
Thanks
They block voice dictation until after you register the device. Since I was not registering them on amazon, they greyed out voice dictation. A thought is that they are recording you, you are agreeing to it when you register and they turn it on.
Did you solve the problem? I have an HD8 2022 and I have this problem with the microphone too, the tablet is already registered, but even so, the microphone does not work on YouTube.

Make sure the Amazon offers it for that particular tablet. Ironically they only allow voice dictation on certain tablets, yours may or may not be one of them. Call Amazon and ask for help. They were the first to tell me to register them. Apparently I wasn't the first to call in and complain about it. I sent those tablets off to family I'm not sure if they're still working right or not. I have decided to leave Amazon's fire OS all together.
I am going to get true Android from now on and replace all the Amazon devices I have given to my family over the years. I have started with the fire sticks I'm replacing them with Walmart's brand new new $19.99 Onn 4K Android TV box. Unfortunately with the tablets it'll take me a little longer to acquire decent Samsungs for them. And if you purchased your tablet on Amazon be sure to review them poorly for them not allowing us to use Amazon devices the way we want to use them. I was liking the newest 10 inch until they decided that we were just renting the devices and change and break everything you set up through forced updates.
