Maybe somoeone could suggest me how to fix it? :S Thanks

First, factory reset. Yes, all apps and data gone. So backup with titanium backup first.
If that doesn't help....reflash stock.
?

What normal usage in % should be from google services?

I did face this issue too.Changing location settings to GPS only will fix this
.But you will not receive any location based cards from Google now.

Did you install the new Google Services (ver 5)? I noticed on my SGS4G that when I installed it, it drained battery like there was no tomorrow. I ended up taking it back down to 4.4.52, There must be a bug somewhere.

I checked and tab shows that i have a 4.4.52 version

Try this,
-uninstall Google play services update and any app that use google play services.
-clear app cache & data,
-reboot in safe mode,
-re-install/update back google play service & all app that use google play sevice.
-lets all sync fine & dandy.
-reboot to normal.

I will recharge my tab one more time and i will check my battery then. If i will be bad, i just will flash 4.4.4 Android, because now i have 4.4.3

I think it is a Google Play Services Version with a bug that caused the Battery drain. Just try to upgrade to fix.
And I even would upgrade to 4.4.4 when the problem is fixed because 4.4.4 fix OpenSSL.

i already reflashed to stock 4.4.4 and its runs perfectly without any serious battery drain. Thanks to all of you for help!!

Google Maps and battery problem

I am seeing google maps using a lot of battery with latitude and history turned off, independently of the rom, if after I reboot I open it, even if I force it stop. This doesn't happen if after a reboot I don't open it. Am I the only one?
I always use network location and I don't want to turn it off. Is there any trick?

Did not, but since if I don't open it after a reboot I don't see it, I can't see how this could help.
The battery life is great without open gmaps (near 70% after 10h with 3g all the time).

10hrs of usage?!
After 10 hrs screen off with minimal usage im at around 50% propably!
I'm sure I saw google maps get an update yesterday or today to address the battery consumption problem in Latitude and Places ?
yes but it didn't really fix the issue.noticed the same here, gmaps drains too much battery got some reason.

Me also on cm or others than civiato's ROM b2b with gueste kernel oc'ed at 1300. Try it for a week and tell me the results.
Well, it looks like the only solution right now is freezing gmaps after using it.

It's normal draining battery when you're using GPS. What I'm talking about is the draining with gmaps on background, not while using it.

Hi,
I tried chivato's ROM and he implemented google maps in data folder (not in system/apps) so google maps are not loadead/active on system startup. How to do that in rebuild v20q ROM? I don't want remove this app completely just not to be in running apps list?
Cheers

Just uninstall it with titanium and reinstall from market.
By the way, I tried 20q rebuild and came back to civiato's; its much smoother than 20q

Nfo somewhere; blatently spying...I did some monitoring and found maps is coming out of sleep to request location. I have to wonder why.
How do we freeze it because this is otherwise a useful app.
The next thing to do would be watching the traffic to see if it'sending that location

Google Play/ Play Store, Server Error !

Since updating from Market to Google Play Store, I have been having different issues with it.
There are alot of Force Closes, a lot of apps 'Are not avaialable on my country..." and what is mostly making me mad, is that it has stopped working since 2 days.
It shows 'Server Error |Retry|'
I have read a lot about this and it seems like Google has made it unavailable to some countries.
Some other usesrs of different phones, have already fixed the issue by creating an app called 'MarketEnabler.apk" I tried installing that app on my Mini, but it doesnt install, reboots my phone in the process.
They seem to have another option for those with unrooted phones, which by connecting to a VPN server.
I also tried that in my brothers unrooted Mini, but it didnt work too.
I would like to know if others have this issue too and if they can help fixing this ..
Thanks for your time.
Google play have new security features and it checks the app compatibility in an advanced manner in newer version there are many compatibility check which will show most of apps unavailable so please downgrade the version of market
Try removing the update (in applications -> all -> market).
Or you could try wiping the application's data. Settings> applications> manage applications> google play store (under all)> clear data.

not everyone.. had 3.5.15 installed and had not a single server error..
I meant every one in my country.
In some forums they say it is happening in different countries, and that Google has disabled it for some time.

I got a phone a couple of days ago, and Market still not working.
So, it's a country thing ?
reinstall Gapps and wipe data
re-install Google play store then wipe data
Try changing your 'Local' settings to the default, load market, close it, set Local settings back and try again. (if the stock language is the one you're using, try switching to something else)
None worked.
Fortunately Google decided to fix this issue and everyone in my country has now a working Google Play.
Oh and by the way, it seems they have decided to once again change its name, now it is Google Play Shop

[Q] Any workaround for Google play services battery bug?

Hey guys,
Is there any known effective workaround for the battery drain issue on 4.4 with google play services?
I have installed the newly released Google play services 5.0 but this is still an issue and causes the phone to get VERY hot during charging

Did you clear cache after installing new Google play services? If you didn't, clear cache and reboot your phone.

Cleared cache and so far seems to be working with v5.0! Thank you!
This is actually something I was trying to find a work around today.
Mind linking me the Play Services 5.0 you're using? I'd really like to try this.

if that doesnt work I believe you will have to be rooted, use exposed and wakelock terminator.

Thanks for that. Gave it a go, got a result similar to the thread maker's. Was a dream come true, really.
Then it came back again. Didn't do anything different, just eventually came back into play on next reboot.
Uninstalled updates from Play Services entirely and rebooted, got the same effect. I don't think it's 5.0 fixing it, just the other play(s) causing it. Still running as 'uninstall updates' version (whatever it is-- lemme check... 4.0.33) and I've not had an issue with it coming back on. If it doesn't last then I have no clue how to fix this.
Sorry to be a pest and bump / double post.
But I havn't had it come back since I did an 'Uninstall Updates' from Settings > Apps > All
I don't know why this would be so darned weird... But for anyone who hasn't tried it... I guess, sadly try it - and the link that Androidtweaker gave.
When I installed the Play Store that Androidtweaker linked, I did nothing but play games for like 2 hours on my phone - No issues. Kept playing, 4 hours later popped back up. I play Puzzles & Dragon's and link it to my Google+, so I thought they might have triggered all the play services since it is Google Games.
However I uninstalled updates and now it's the 1st of July where I am (3 days later), with Uninstall Updates and playing P&D with G+, I don't have any Play Service Issues.
Sorry I couldn't be of help to anyone who comes to this thread via google searching. Perhaps installing the latest Play Store then deleting cache/dalvik helped cut out some issue hidden within somewhere?...
In settings/location, set to device only. Its google location reporting causing the issue. Setting it to device only utilises just GPS for location.

Heavy wakelocks caused by google play services

I've got heavy wakelocks from google play services and they won't let the device go to sleep when screen is off.
I've tried following fixes regarding this issue.
https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/f...-guard.297792/
None of them worked for me..
Could it be of the Gapps I use?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=53739230&postcount=5031
This worked for me for me...but only til I rebooted the phone.
I've tried different Gapps packages..all the same.
Any suggestions what I am doing wrong or how I can permanently get rid of the wakelocks caused by google play services?
I'm on Mackay 4.4.4 ROM and using Open Gapps 4.4 from 11/22/15
Can someone help me out of this misery please? :crying:
Got a workaround but not quite the root of all evil.
In privacy settings I disabled "keep awake" for Google play services and the battery drain is much better.
But now I am getting "unfortunatly Google play services has stopped" sometimes.
Everything seems to work..
It is OK but anoying somehow.
Anyone here with an actual solution?

I am not wuite sure what you mean with "DisableService in Google Play".
Can you please be more specific?
Do you mean the app "Disable Service" and if so what to disable exactly?
I've already tried to use the app to enable "SystemUpdateService" as it is disabled, but it went
back to disabled after boot.
Yeah! You must download https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=cn.wq.disableservice&hl=pl
****Go to Google Services>search this:
- "UPDATE" |||| off ALL
- "Sync" III off ALL
- Game III off ALL
And disable almost all proces, in background.
you have to embrace it-yourself
And your GOOGLE SERVICE WILL BE so low
Sorry for my bad english.

Your issues with Play store, reminds me of 2 x similar incidents, i had with my old Note devices.
Think it was Note 3 and my Note 4. Not sure.
Unfortunately It was a few years back!
eg.
When i tried to download, an apps update etc and
app size was eg 2mb or 5 mb.. etc I struggled to download.Very frustrating!
Eventually after a week or 2, maybe 3.
i was able to pinpoint
the the "suspect"
(Unfortunately i cannot remember clearly ,
but it was either, that i had sideloaded
wrong updated version of Play services apk
(Cleaning Play services cache did not help.)
or it was an Xposed /Xposed model.
(So phone was also rooted)
Anyway ,
i then decided to factory reset and Playstore
was working fine again.
Bottom line is
you can either look for the "suspect"?
causing this.
( I know there was a few threads about similar issues with Playstore, on XDA... way back then ! )
or save yourself from the frustration it's causing?
and try a "clean" Factory reset.!
Good luck
Have you tried cleaing the cache data in the internal storage? That usually helps with this sorta issue.
Tried that not working in either what you said

Is it on wifi or data?
Reset router modem.
Do other apps lag like YouTube or Netflix.
Download speed bad in your area.
Uninstall GP updates and try to reinstall them or apk from web.
Is updating apps through wifi only ?
Clear out all pending updates and restart device.
Do you have another device or friends to see if it's the same problem on theirs too for your region.
Try a different proxy.
Just throwing some ideas around!!
Go into your Google settings and see if you have it to update using wifi only I personally always turn auto updates off.. I had this problem with my Note 8 when I 1st got it. How I fixed it was I went into settings and went to apps and cleared the cache and data on Google play services and playstore and foreclosed them and then went to accounts and removed my Google account and restarted my phone.. when my phone rebooted I went to the playstore and had to login fresh again and that fixed the problem.
I fixed it by factory resetting phone. Thankfully I backed it all up
