[Q] Need Help May have bricked phone - Xperia Z1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I hope someone can help. I had no problem flashing using the .nut 757 FTF.
I wanted to upgrade to the new firmware.
I flashed the .108 flashable firmware.
I then went into the flashtool(have latest version) and following the directions to flash the stripped ftf i got a loader.sin error. I tried reloading all the device drivers.
now when I try and flash I get

It seems uninstalling the flashtool and re-installing it did the trick.

[Q] Unlocking bootloader

Hello!
Have a rooted Sony X8 with Ginger DX installed. Like to flash the kernel with custom ROM to make it quicker and then also Ginger DX.
From what I understand in different threats I need first to unlock the bootloader. I understand that I need to flash first the Stock ROM and then to unlock bootloader. I downloaded the stock ROM *.ftf and used FlashTool (for Mac!).
But unfortunately I get some error messages. I already posted this at the end of another thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=41081576#post41081576) but are stuck.
The error messages are:

Anybody suggestions on how to proceed?
Hey there,
I'm not sure about Mac but I think you might have a corrupt download of the stock ftf file.
Do an md5 checksum on the file and check it with the original - If they match, it's good - if not, delete it and re-download the ftf.
Good luck.
Mine
exec'/system/bin/sh' failed: No such file or dirrctory
can anyone solve this ?

What is the best place to get the ftf with md5 checksum provided??
http://www.mediafire.com/?r9rq43u8rp4esl4 but checksum
http://hotfile.com/dl/128941602/d01b6c1/X8_E15i_2.1.1.C.0.0._un.ftf.html also no checksum
PS @phycro.sync your comments do not relate to my problem??? You are now mixing up things. Please start a separate threat that makes thing more clear.

Downloaded tft twice again and also FlashTool. Tried it several times, other USB cable.
Same problem. Process wait long before: Opening device for R/W and then give the other messages quickly.
Is there another tool to flash?

When I open the application and go to drivers there are no files. Under devices E15 is mentioned (=SE X8).
See below. I guess that if a driver or something else is missing Flashtool would indicate it.
Are there alternative flashtools?

1) there is already a thread on this.
2) One way to go back is to restore the backup you should have made before flashing a custom rom.
3) Try relocking your bootloader and flashing the ftf. Or flash a stock V kernel and then flash the ftf.
Let me know how you get on

The phone has switched on. Switch off and try again.
Gaining root for xperia z through flashtool doesn't work as far as i know (might also depend on which firmware you are)
Just disconnect and stop rooting through flashtool. Use the new root method that is described multiple times in general already.

You need v1.99, here is the link:
http://download.chainfire.eu/420/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.99.zip
Sent from my C6603 using XDA Free mobile app
easy root
go to www.towelroot.com on phone. Hit the lamda sign and download the root.apk. Open the apk and hit run. It rooted my phone in seconds. 4.4.2 locked bootloader
Dear all,
I just wanted to confirm, that towelroot works perfectly, no trouble, no drawbacks.
And installation of SuperSU and busybox worked smoothly.
Done 2 days ago, with Experia Z (C6603) and 4.4.2.
And just to let you know, I am a "newbee" in this exercise(s).
Started to root and work with China phones (coolpad 7205 A and C), now starting to work with my Xperia Z..

[Q] Can't root Xperia V with 9.2.A.2.5!

I have the latest Flashtool installed, and both my V's are updated to 9.2.A.2.5, with the boot loaders unlocked on both.
I rooted both of them before the update (can't recall how I did it or where I got the information.) Now one of them is rooted and running Avast Antitheft; no problems there. The other, however, just won't root. Using the latest flashtool, which installs TowelRoot on the phone, the phone reboots right after I press the "make it ra1n" button, indicating failure to root.
Here's the log I keep getting in Flashtool:

And it just goes on and on like this. What am I missing or doing wrong?
SOLVED!
SOLVED! Here's how it turned out:
I found this...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2798411
... which didn't work - at the first few attempts:
a. Installing Towelroot from internal storage using the built-in file manager seemed to be in conflict with... well, Towelroot being already installed.
b. Chainfire's superSU kept giving me an error message.
So I figured I should uninstall both using the phone's app manager and try the instructions in the link above from scratch, and voila! Here's the log:

LT25i noob
Please help me out...I have been searching this forum for 3 days now and cannot find a straight forward answer, every thread says something different and I am confused as hell now!
I have the LT25i on 9.2.A.2.5, bootloader locked, but unlockable, and not rooted.
How do I unlock bootloader, and root, so that I can flash a custom rom?
Solved
I have actually just managed to get this all sorted...unlocked bootloader using flashtool and rooted by following steps here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2798411&highlight=unlocked
If only I could have found that thread 3 days ago!

Wow excellent advice...do you think I just stumbled across all the threads I read accidentally?
It is extremely difficult for someone rooting a different phone for the first time to know exactly what to type in the search bar to get the correct info.
There is not an up to date all-in-one thread for XV noobs
