Hi
If anyone has unhide developer options by presessing "build number" several times to enable USB debugging and other tweaking and wanting to hide it back... follow the steps below
1. Go to Settings > Apps
2. Swipe left to see ALL
3. Look for "Settings"
4. Select "Settings" (see attached image)
5. Clear data
All done. You do not see "developer options". Any changes that were made under developer options will not be reset (USB debugging will still remain enabled)
Hope it helps.
The developer options menu has an on/off toggle on the top right. Much simpler to just hit the switch and hide it that way

Procedure given by OP is correct! Developer options cannot be hidden by simply toggling on/off switch in the Developer Options. Need proof! look at the screen shots.
The last screen shot is taken after following OP's procedure.
I see. I stand corrected
How do you bring it back? Ta

To bring back is a piece of cake, all you have to do is go to Settings>About Phone, scroll down until you see Built Number, tap that phuker 7 times until it says "you are a phuking developer"! Then the Developer Option will magically show pop! Kids stuff but very funny...hope this help! Give me kudos!

To make a short story long, I enabled the "Stay Awake" option when I did the KB1 update. After I was done doing everything I wanted to disable the option, however when I went to /applications/development the option is no longer there. So, now I am stuck with the option "on" and I would like to have the option back in the settings menu so that I can disable it.
I have pulled up the settings.apk and I can see that in the "development_perfs.xml" that there is the entry for the option.
Any ideas on how I can get this option back?
There are a few widgets in the market that toggle the 'stay awake' setting... see if one of them will work.

I have seen that there are a couple of apps out there that will do the same thing. I even had seen that there was a settings.apk for the vibrant that had the option in there. I would consider these methods as a last resort.
I'm looking to get the option back in the settings menu, so that I can toggle it from there.
Fix?
You could root and use sqlite to change the database, it is risky except that would disable the setting, just go to settings storage in sqlite and change the value from 1 to 0 that should disable it
I went and checked the /dbdata/databases/com.android.providers.settings/settings.db and found that the stay_on_while_plugged_in value was set to 0. So I rebooted the phone and things seem to be better with it now.
However it would be nice to be able to toggle the option from the settings UI.
Can any one point me in the right direction to get that done?
Check the 6 lockscreen mod thread. I saw the op there saying he had reenabled the setting I believe.

I use the highly customizable "Widgetsoid" widget for toggles for:
Mobile AP
USB Mount
Screen always on
Screen on while charging
Screen brightness (4 level)
(all items buried pretty deep in the menus).
Pretty much anything else is accessible to the Widgetsoid widget, too.

not the only one. Check and see if you can disable it by going in to settings -> apps -> All -> Power. I can't get rid of it sadly. :/
The only way to permanently remove it now is by rooting.
To temporarily remove it, you can ford close the "Power" app from the App info screen.
What i done was hold it down then stop app it's now gone but can use it in settings

This doesnt work on non rooted devices. The "show notifications" option is greyed out and cannot be unchecked. At least thats how it is on my device running 1.28.401.7.

If you are rooted, you need to either flash a ROM that has that option enabled, or install a mod (like this) to enable it.

I thought ARHD had it. I'll check the link out though.
Thanks,
Any updates on this? What happens if I disable it?

For non-rooted (stock) phones, you can't remove it. You can bypass it by "Force closing" the Power app. But it will come back after a reboot or if your battery goes down to 14% & Power Saver turns on.
As for disabling it, I didn't try, but would expect that you will loose the "Power Saver" function & the options under Settings>Power. ("Power" will be completely gone).
the best way to disable the notification while keeping the power saving app running is to disable the notification receiver activity in the power app.
must have root access
1. install and open an app 'system tuner'
2. click system and wait until all of the apps are there
3. scroll down to 'Power'
4. tap power and then tap details
5. scroll down to "receivers"
6. untick "powersaver.PowerSaverNotificationReceiver"
7. reboot
I really hate the menu that pops up in apps such as facebook taking up space, ive tried hide bar but it also hides the status bar as well. is there anyway to hide or disable this.
also any suggestions on a button remapper that i can use to hold the back button to pull up menu, if not ill just use gmd gesture control(it just causes issue though)

Adding on to this... In the display settings of the rom there should be the option to enable long press as it isn't on by default.

Install went perfect on my Nook HD, but have a couple of questions. Can't seem to find in the settings where to turn on USB debugging and how do I turn off the typing sound?
Thank you

Go to settings, about, tap build number 7-8 times for developer options.
Keyboard sounds should be under settings, sound. If not there then under keyboard input.

Go to settings --> lock screen --> slider shortcuts.
Slide the circle to the slot you want to change, and choose "empty" for the shortcut you want to get rid of.
Not sure if anyone else is having a problem but I had trouble removing the camera widget off the lock screen even though it was disabled in the settings on carbonmod. Had to download "Lockscreen policy" app to remove it.
Just got this watch (previously had Moto 360 1st Gen).
One feature that I got used to and liked was that when the watch was docked, it would change the face to a dock night mode clock.
I noticed that when I docked the watch, it would show a new face too. However, the face would fade to Black after some time.
Is there a way to keep this on while charging? I tried enabling the "always on" feature, but to no avail.
Thx!
