Sometimes the rom we install have compatibility issues with our device dude. It happens...
Try this : reboot into the recovery and clear the dalvik cache and cache.
Reboot again in to the system and if you still don't have sounds install another rom.

Flashing ROMS

Quick question. I'm really in the the Cyanogenmod 9 ROMS and sometimes I notice it's better to flash it twice. Can I do that without rebooting or do I have to reboot and then reflash if I want to do it again?
You can do it without rebooting

Stock ROM boot problem

Hello, I'm having some worrying problems with my device
Like many of you I've been eagerly following TheWhisp in his journey to bring us JB, I had managed to stop myself flashing the earlier experimental versions so as not to just tease myself with a non-daily ROM, but when he announced he'd fixed the incoming call problem I had to try it! I installed the update from the 17th of Jan, everything was going pretty good.
I flashed back to stock via Odin first, booted, thumbed around a bit for nostalgia as I'd been running ReginaROM since it came out. The Cyanogenmod started becoming more and more unstable the next day, things crashing, reboots etc. I thought ok, no problem, I'll go back to Regina and wait. I flashed back to stock again to get a fully fresh install going as that's just the way I like to do things.
My problem is that the stock ROM won't boot, the Samsung logo glows away as normal, but after a moment I get the short vibration followed by three blips of vibration indicating something has crashed, after which the startup animation and sound plays again and the process repeats, I can never reach the lock screen.
Does anyone have any idea what's going on?
it's a bootloop, have you tried to wipe data from CWM?
Yeah I've tried wiping cache, dalvik cache and factory reset.
did you try wipe data/cache and dalvic cache on squads cwm??
Where else would I do it? haha I don't mean to sound *****y
I can't figure it out, I've done everything I can think of, seems sort of bad that I can't get my stock firmware to work if I ever need to go back to it.

You have to wipe data after installation of the stock ROM. I had the same problem with the previous build. Just enter in CWM and wipe.

Try like this, flash stock JB with Odin, do factory reset and clear dalvik cache. After that root again, and install CM.

Do clean install again and see what happens. And this time do not remove any file to be sure that is not your fault.
"tried many methods like cleard cache, data- clear storage but no luck" - do wipe system too before flashing ROM.
What i mean by "triwd many methods" is after i have flashed and downloads ui dont work i go to app manager and wipe the apps data cache even media storages but still problem persists.
Maybe i wasnt clear sorry.
When i flash this is what i do (after jb+root)
Wipe cache-dalvik cache-system-internal storage-flash rom&gapps from ext storage-wipe cache-dalvik cache and reboot

I got lost in reading of bolded text. So you do:
Wipe cache
wipe dalvik cache
wipe system partition
and wipe internal storage.
I never got FC of download ui on any CM11. I know that DocumentsUI.apk is needed for it, maybe you remove it and you get FC.
Yes! That is the file i removed! Maybe you can upload documents and download ui apk for me plz? Becoz i cba downloading a new rom all over again
Thanks anyways i bet that is my problem 100%

[Q] When I flash a 4.4. rom I get stuck.

Hello. I hope you can help with this problem.
I'm right now with Zaiben 10 and cmw 6.0.4.4.
When I try to flash a 4.x rom, I make a full wipe/factory reset, then I install the rom and finally the gapps. So far OK, but when I restart the mobile, don't boot, there's only a white screen and my phone goes off.
I don't know If I am doing something wrong, but I really appreciate If you can help me to finally install LegoRom or Nameless Rom.
Thanks in advance.
Greetings from Spain.
try with format /system , /data and /cache not only wipe

I had a similar problem with CM11 and my nexus 7. I had to change recovery.I was using cwm and I installed twrp instead. After that I did format system, data and cache and flashed rom again.

for cm 11, or general 4.4 rom, you need to cwm 6.0.4.5. installed, then you will be able to do everything normally

Thank you for your help, but I can't boot any rom 4.4X (I installed TWRP and the last CWM), all of them when I flash it does not boot, always the phone goes off . The only rom that works for me is Zaiben. Anyway I pressed the button for your help, thank you so much.
EDIT. Instead of doing a wipe, I made a full format and it seems that works...
Well yea, when you are switching or going for the first time from stock to some custom rom and backwards, you need to do full wipe and format, but I am not sure if that is the case, since I had stock rom on my phone for 3 days only

Should be okay now.
is the effect_tick.ogg volume turned up cause when I last used the pixel audio it was a little quiet.
---------- Post added at 03:58 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:52 PM ----------
If not I can try to do it when I get home with Audacity and send it to you. For those who like the sounds a little louder. and I mean like .05 boost in volume or so for effect.tick.ogg with Viper4Android
On tupac4u's lite nougat rom with magisk led/viper audio/phhsuperuser/pixel launcher modules installed, otherwise fresh install - resulted in bootloop after flashing zip and clearing cache... Would any of those cause that?

It is still quiet but that is the way how is designed. Will be very annoying if is any louder.

Should not be the case but you can always just dirty flash same ROM and all will be as before.
I did, back up and running, just wanted to see if I did something stupid which is usually the case
Pixel Audio v1.1 is out. Cleaning cache and dalvik / ART cache is now happening automatically. No need to do it manually anymore.

From Pixel sound side, nothing. Just script itself. No need to clean the cache anymore, that's all.
Is it just me or does touch sounds sound exactly like kit-kat? Also, correct me if I'm wrong, I read somewhere that the pixel and xl come with water drop sounds? I still have lollipop sound for lock and unlock which I'm sure wasn't changed, so that's normal. But what about the kit-kat clicks?
Flashed it but the ringtones don't work, i get the same single tone for each ringtone. Alarm and notifications worked. No idea why the ringtones don't work. Flashed my backup and all working again. Running Lite Rom

okay, I will take a look. The script should clean cache/ART but try to flash it again and then clean one more time cach/ART again manually.
Same thing happened to me but after a minute I checked back and they all worked

Yes, same here. Android remember old sound names witch dues not exist anymore. Need some time to forget/reset and show new ones properly. Will take about minute or so after reboot.

Did the extra manual wipe of cache and dalvik and all the ringtones do work now. Thanks.
Tested the straight after reboot, worked without waiting.

It's look like the script dues not clean cache and dalvik/ART cache properly. I will need to investigate that. Until then manually cleaning cache is needed after flashing.

The script is cleaning properly cache and dalvik/ART cache. Sometimes even after manually cleaning cache in TWRP I have to wait for about 30 sec. to see new names in sound settings. It's look like that is the way how it is. android need to boot fully...
