[Q] Question About Touchscreen Issue - Xperia Z1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi everybody!
I would like to know if the touchscreen issue is present only in Sony stock based rom or is presented in all roms.
Thanks in advance!

Really? I was under the impression it was a hardware issue...

Old story come back. At the end I do not know what to think but Sony Touch Screen Issue screwed us all, that I am sure 100%!

[Q] Will Xperia Z Roms work on Xperia ZL?

Hi everyone,
Simple question - Will Z roms work with the ZL (and vice versa)?
I know next to nothing about what goes into making ROMs and Kernels, but I would guess that because the two phones have identical hardware specs in terms of the GPU and CPU, the ROMs would be flashable on either phone, but they both have different radios/antenna so that leads me to believe we won't be able to.
Can anyone say for sure yet?

You won't be able to flash a Z rom on a ZL, however they should be very very easy to port between the devices. It's like the HTC Desire was almost a clone of the Nexus One, stuff was ported between them very easily however you couldn't use an N1 rom on a Desire etc.

I do believe the Z and ZL have slight camera differences, that i about it though
correct me if i am wrong

Front cameras are different, rear cameras are the same.

IR Blaster is different. Also the simple fact that device ID's are different too... Again, it'll be very easy to port, but you can't flash a Z rom on a ZL.

[Q] Galaxy S4 SmartScroll /Smart Screen Features for Xperia Z?

Hi everyone
Is it possible to port these features for Xperia Z?
Maybe some developers can work on it. :good:

Yeah, that would be very exciting if we could have this features on Xperia Z
But I am wondering if this is possible at all?
Most of it should be possible, since it's not all based on special hardware.
In this case, I must say that I've heard stories about Smart scroll not being THAT great. For example, when you looked away from the screen, it would register it as a scroll.
I've used smart stay on my Note, it didn't work that great, many times it depends on the lighting.

It's shadowed by Z and ZL previously, and then Z Ultra and Z1 released not too long after ZR, plus ZR is released only in specific regions... so........ it's not standing out to the devs.

Weird. Its a better phone than the z/zl but the z/zl gets all the attention
Sent from my Xperia Acro S using xda app-developers app
it's only "better" because it uses the same hardware but a lower resolution so it doesn't have to power such a big screen and thus the overall speed is faster... it does not make it "better"...
the Z/ZL were released in April while ZR only started selling around mid-June.
also, they are available worldwide, and the Z is the first flagship of 2013 so naturally it will get the most attention, unlike the ZR which is only available in like... idk 15 countries? maybe less...
so unless there happens to be a dev who happens to have a ZR who happens to want to make custom roms for you and i to use for free, we won't be seeing much activity around here. just live with it... or get a Z/Z1/ZL... if you want custom roms i suggest u try CM... afterall most other custom roms are based on them anyway...

Or donate some money to a ROM developer. I donated some bitcoins to FreeXperia since us ZR owners couldn't use CM without them.

Xperia T KitKat: it will come?

Hey guys, I dis a little research in the web but found nothing concrete about the KitKat update for the Xperia T. I would like to know what has been decided for this good device.
No news yet...
...and official firmware support has ended on April (18 months from the release of the device).
From my point of view, we can only hope in a last version for JB 4.3

Yap, that's what read, final jb 4.3 bug fix
have to settle for 4.3, sony puts kitkat under investigation, but I do not give us that update, no longer interested in us...

Seriously with that cycle, release with old version then delay, then finally a release ... a buggy release... Thanks
I don't know why you talk like that to Sony, the Xperia T has the same updates the Galaxy Nexus, that it's the market not only Sony.

Becuase I am a little frustrated. Maybe its because I expected more and you are correct I was a bit sarcastic for which I apologize.
Still I have Sony camera and I appreciate all they do and its good that they are strong now, they diversify the market.
Lets hope that they will keep with our highest expectations and provide at least one more build - stable 4.3 or 4.4.
I'd be surprised if there are any further updates to 4.3. I doubt 4.4 will make it to the T in official form.
As for buggy? I haven't had a single problem with mine since upgrading to 4.3
All this bull**** about I want 4.4 NOW nad Sony suck because they're not supporting the phone for ever, just shows some people to be acting like spoilt children.

Bugs? I tell you one: I can't use my Bluetooth and Wifi at the same moment, I have to switch between, that is very inconvenient... Childish? I need my phone for everyday life

What I think he meant is that it's not a bug if it only happens to you. That fact that your phone isn't working for you isn't necessarily the case for everyone. The only problem I've had with my phone is all the bloatware it comes with, and the white settings; both of which can be fixed easily.

According to your logic and, for example, if you just using the phone for calling and messaging, the firmware for you is good . But I believe the phone should be fully functioning because everybody has different needs

And that was exactly my point. If the phone is fully functional for others and not for you, doesn't make it a bug, it just means that whatever you are using under your specific circumstances is not working for you. It's not about people's needs, it's about the phone working as the developers expected it to.
For instance, I've heard people complain about the microphone picking up the sound of the camera focusing while recording. If that is how the developers intended it to work, then it's not a bug, regardless of whether it interferes with the black and white silent movies they are trying to produce.

With that logic we can come to the conclusion if something is not working, it is just "specific circumstances" .Bytheway, this bug somewhere I read was fixed for other phones . And also I am not alone complaining about the bugs, ok, according to you "specific circumstances". But I will not get into the further discussions
Skyguar said:

No, because if nobody can make a phone call, then it's not "specific circumstances"; if you're the only one that can't make a call, there must be some circumstance preventing you from doing so. You really don't know much about logic.
I don't think it comes for xperia t any other series which came with xperia t.
I recently stumbled upon this news
http://motoringcrunch.com/news/sony-xperia-getting-exclusive-kitkat-4-4-3-features/10018672/
Sony website still says 'under investigation' but there still might be hope for us T, TX and V users yet.
I doubt that they are actually still investigating if our devices are compatible with KitKat. More likely, they are already working on the new firmware and dont want anyone to know because then they would get thousands of messages about ETA and that stuff.
Sony cant just leave us alone with a more or less working 4.3 as the last update.
In Japan they have this law that they can only keep a appliance, gadgets or cars for a certain period of time and if they want it to keep it for a longer time they have to pay a higher tax. Maybe Sony apply that principle of this law to our devices
"gadgets need love too"

[Q] Is there any news on a Xperia SP SONY kitkat 4.4 rom?

Hi guys,
I would like to ask if there is any new Xperia SP rom featuring Sony's apps, framework, theme, etc (Like xperia z2/3 stock rom) and running on Kitkat 4.4.4?
I'm really sad that there aren't many developers anymore who want to create this I'm sick of 4.3
Anyway thanks for reading!
My friend have LG G2 and use Cloudy G3, ported G3 rom with all features from G3....Does it have way to port Xperia M2/E1/E3 or Z series 4.4 for SP with all features
that would be great, but i think our device isn't that popular and there are no many devs interested to do this...

Of course it is capable... But sony gives us semy-finished android 4.3, i would be more than happy if we have good android 4.3, but we havn't... There are a lot worse phones that are runing stock 4.4.4...
I have never flashed so many roms on one phone and still no good rom with normal ram management and without home redraw...
Now i give up and go on official cyanogenmod and hopes for best...
I think cyanogenmod is last station until i got money for nexus 5 or something similar... ☺
Little off topic but i must say all that...
Sorry for my bad english...
Edit: one more thing...if our developers knew that there will not be an official kit kat maybe they would do more to port stock 4.4.4...we al waited for official and when our device get old SONY decided that we ar not capable... Uh...

I couldn't say it better myself! I love Sony but when I heard of abandoned Kitkat update, it felt like a knife in my back... The reason I'm not going for Cm 11 (or 12) is that I'm really used to sony's interface and apps :/ So it's kind of a bummer that we have to stick witch (good) 4.3 roms...
There should be a way to get people more attracted making SP roms...
And cool! Love the nexuses!

To be pretty honest I am looking forward to develop a ROM for SP, but I can't seem to find the right resources to learn and start
