I sent amazon an email about this the other day asking if there was currently any app in development for the UK store, but I got a fairly generic response.
Does anyone know if there ever a chance of this arriving in the UK, or are there licensing laws etc that make it impossible?
I just installed the US one on my UK Hero...

Silly question, but how do you use it? I find a track and hit 'Buy' but how do I checkout?
Buying a Song
You have to first click on the menu button in your Hero while in the amazon app. from t here it will ask you your user name and to enable one click check out. Once that is done all you have to do is click on the dollar amount next to the song to purchase.
Just curious.. Want to go pick one up

I was planning on buying one online and picking it up at the store on my lunch break. So far, nothing showing on their site. I am refreshing quite a bit. Already see it available on Play Store. Nothing on Amazon or BB as was stated it should be available today.
When I called Google last week because I lost patience waiting for tracking confirmation, I mentioned to them that if I wasn't getting it today (Launch Day), I might add well cancel my pre-order & just go to Best Buy today...
I was told that they have exclusivity. He knew eventually they'd all be available everywhere, but didn't know when.
I don't know how reliable a customer service rep is, and I don't know anyone from Best Buy... Just sharing my limited knowledge. Haha.
I just talked with best buy online chat. Their release dates are today..which was reported at Google i/o but they dont have them yet i guess
Thank you for choosing Best Buy, my name is Jacky. How may I assist you today?
-------------I am looking to pick up a LG G watch or a Samsung gear Live watch, from my understanding they are both available today in stores?
I'd be more than happy to assist you with your questions regarding these watches.
Their release date was scheduled today but it is not showing availability on the website so it seems that the manufacturer hasn't released them to us.
--------------So theyre not available in stores?
As far as I know, they are not available in the stores but we don't know for sure. We are mainly online support. You could try to contact the stores to see if they have them but they are not showing up as available online which usually means they're not available in the stores either.
I called a Best Buy here in Tampa by my office. They told me they were sold out. So it would appear that they may have had some available this morning but no longer due. With that in mind I have gave up and ordered one from the Play store.
I just went to my local Best Buy in Burbank, CA. The dedicated Samsung rep hadn't even heard of the Gear Live and they couldn't find a SKU in the system. I guess I should have just ordered from Google.
I was going to order one on Amazon and get next day shipping for $3.99 as a prime customer. I can't find them on Amazon or Best Buy. This sucks! Any idea when they will be available?
Who said they would be available at Best Buy and Amazon today? Can someone post a link where Google stated that?
Thanks!

No, it was just unsubstantiated rumors spread by all the tech blogs. That's probably the information they got at I/O, but nobody stated where they got that info from.
Best Buy
I also went into a Best Buy today looking for the Gear Live today. The Samsung rep just kind of shrugged me off and said she didn't think Best Buy was carrying those. I know better because on the Best Buy site Android Wear is listed as coming soon and every press release has said they'd be getting them. I just left wasn't in the mood to debate with her. I really wish Best Buy was more knowledgeable about their products especially the Samsung reps
I went to two Best Buys in Durham, NC and neither has the Gear Live. In store #1, the Samsung rep knew the watch existed, but didn't know that it was listed as "coming soon" on Best Buy's website. He did however ask the store manager if they had received any in inventory that just weren't being sold yet, and was told they hadn't received any at all. Store #2 rep knew what I was looking for and said he had no idea when they will be getting them.
Buying In Store
Most likely, it will be at least a month or two before they come to the store. Google did that with the last few Nexus phones and tablets for a while so it doesn't seem to far fetched if it won't be in store before August.
I called a BB in Tampa near my office and they told me they were sold out but they should be getting more in soon, although they did not have an exact number or date.
I gave up and ordered from Play Store.

I don't doubt or argue that is what you were told, but I'd be very surprised if they actually gave you correct information. Perhaps they sold out of a different Gear watch and didn't recognize or even know that you're asking about the Gear Live. My in store visits and calls to local Best Buys all indicate a great lack of knowledge that the Gear Live even exists, and none of the 4 stores I spoke to (two in person) had any idea when they would begin receiving them. I think when they show up on Best Buy's website is going to be when they are actually available in stores.
It says pre-order on Best Buy website.

I got mine from Play Store with overnight.

I work for Samsung inside of a BestBuy and I can verify that they don't have them yet. I would assume they will get them Wednesday at the soonest since they get trucks on Tuesday nights.

From what I have heard it will be before the end of the month. Amazon will have stock from the 30th for standard 16GB models.
I would take a guess and say that the option to buy direct from Motorola through Moto Maker will come this week with delivery within 7-10 working days.
you can now buy it in germany but the website doesn't allow shipping to holland, looks like i am out of luck
I hope it comes this week as I'm after a 32GB model and don't mind pre-ordering it.
Anyone any the wiser yet? I find it confusing the amazon uk page has the resin back one to be released on the 30th, and the leather one to be released on the 15th oct....?
The basic 16GB one has now gone on sale in Amazon UK.
Still no order button on Moto Maker site yet.

It says shipping from October 7th. I think there will be a slight delay as it has also been the case in the US for Moto Maker orders. There seems to be a part backlog from China.
Yeah true
I've just pre ordered a black leather one from Clove.co.uk - expecting to dispatch Oct 3rd I'd think it'll be delayed further but lets see
Really desperate for this phone too. I've been waiting for far too long.
Amazon UK, Clove, Mobilephonesdirect, all have the 16GB models.
I'm looking for the 32GB one...
Does anyone know if US warranty will be honored in the UK?
Thinking of ordering the 32GB from motomaker in the US.
Fair enough, i've found 16GB (well 10GB actual) is ok for me. Are you sure you can even order from the US motomaker? I tried just now and its 'locked' to US when selecting country to ship to...

I've got a friend who can mail it to the UK.
So if US warranty works in the UK, I wouldn't mind ordering it from there.
Since the OTA unlocks all LTE bands, so it should work with LTE networks here.
I asked Motorola when the Moto Maker 32GB edition will become available but they said they're not allowed to say.
Unlocked Mobiles has it for £395, but I don't know how much stock they have. Can't see anyone else with any at all.
I have been repeatedly tweeting Motorola UK and US asking for a release date for both the standard and MotoMaker models, but they say nothing other than "soon". This is a really, really bad launch. Worse even than the 2013 Moto X. Feels like they don't want anyone to buy one
Ordered mine from Motomaker last night. Estimated delivery is 13th October. It's expensive, but with no 5" Nexus coming it's the best way for me to get L, and I loved the original so we'll see how it goes. I've been light on the customizations so I can always sell it on if I don't like it.
Good idea
Ordering mine through moto maker tonight. Cancelled my order with clove as I'd prefer some customisation, I'll post my estimated delivery time here. Does anyone know which courier they use?
Cheers

I was going to go for the turquoise as it looks really nice in the photo on the Motorola site, but I don't know whether to go for the white or black front. I'm also looking at the Royal Blue back but the previews on Moto Maker aren't particularly good.
I'll update if I get a shipping notification. Ordered about an hour after it going live and there is such a dearth of hype on this device that I'm hoping I'll be front of the dispatch queue.
They've really flopped with this launch. Imagine if Apple sold a similar concept - design your own device. Everyone would go bonkers!
Apparently Clove has Black Resin and the White/Bamboo one in stock today, so if people want one sooner that might be the way to go. The black one actually doesn't look nearly as boring as I thought it would.
Also - really hoping that they send us the European model with the correct LTE bands. I've heard that the US Pure Edition doesn't have support for 3's LTE which needs bands 3 and 20.
The Moto Maker UK site is now allowing orders to be processed. There is now a Buy button.

Yep, see above. Been live since Wednesday evening.
I am a new Tmo customer and wanting the N6, was with you all refreshing and trying to preorder last week. I am in a torn on what I want to do right now, trying to figure out if I even want to try to order from google today or Tmo next wed.
?'s (1) Is Play store support that much better then Tmo's support???
(2) How are Tmo's online orders. Want a midnight blue 64gb, so I will have to order online.
(3) Does anyone know when orders usually go live online at tmo?
(4) Thinking I want to insure phone, is Jump better then off carrier options for insurance and what are some good options there?
I'm sure there are many other things to consider, so I'm basically trying to start a conversation on pros and cons of each route. Tmo is releasing next wed, so wondering if I'm being an impulsive, impatient child trying to order today. I have absolutely zero experience ordering from tmo or google.

1.) Depends if you want to ship your device in for RMA or not. With tmo support you get an overnight replacement same as google.
2.) Not sure when their online orders go live but if you want that version online should be fine unless their servers get bogged by users. I believe the iPhone release broke their servers . you can also call them and then can order it for you
3.) Jump offers you extended warranty past the one year google offers. Which means after the year if they still have return devices to send you they can send them to you if you have issues with your phone. Jump also allows you to trade in that device for another in the future . I'd still research other insurance providers in case you are looking for other things. I never order online and rather walk u to a store just because if something wrong happens I can walk right in, get it exchanged for a new one without having to wait for another in the mail. Also I can just pay for it same day and use it same day.

Thinking I need to just wait. There are a lot of other factors that lean me towards waiting too. I already have our tax exempt status registered through tmobile, with google, have to pay tax then send stuff in to get it refunded afterwards. Was thinking about ordering through google and then just canceling if able to preorder through tmo that day. Seems to me like, other than being able to relax and know you have one ordered, there is no real advantage to ordering from google as opposed to tmo.

Yes and No....I think.....From what I have taken from around the web, android 5.0 lets carriers install their apps automatically when their particular sim is inserted, however, it is my understanding that these can be deleted as well.
So my understanding is, both phones are the same, they only change once the sim is put in it. So if tmo n6's come with sim already in it, then they may come with bloat, but it will be able to be deleted. I am no expert by any stretch of the imagination, so, I could be mistaken here, but this is how I interpreted what I have read.
Correct. The only app downloaded on our N6 is My T-Mobile when you turn on your device. It is deletable though.
anyone hear any info on a 100% positive release date in stores? from what everyone is saying and this http://newsroom.t-mobile.com/news/t...-to-its-data-strong-network-this-november.htm posted in tmobiles official blog site, november 12th seems to be the day. but i called about 10 different tmobile stores in pittsburgh today and none of them can give a definitive answer as to the 12th being the day that stores will begin to sell them. the nexus 4 and 5 were both sold out on their respective release dates in stores here and i don't want to miss out on it once again. i'm hoping that a pre-order will go live or they will notify me before then. 2 stores that i called actually told me that they would go live on tmobile.com on the 12th but stores won't be getting them until the 15th or 16th(saturday or sunday) which basically tells me that they don't know what they're talking about. i'm itching to use my jump upgrade and i'm not completely decided on whether i'm getting the note 4 or nexus 6. i guess i'll wait this out a little longer.

There is no way that stores will have it available before Google ships those pre-orders. The Galaxy Gear S was suppose to release today to all carriers but after checking with 4 local T-Mobile stores in my area none had it yet. So I really highly doubt they'll have it on the 12th.

seems like some stores are enforcing policy and others aren't.
the tmobile rep at my local store didn't let me buy it even though they had it in stock.
The phone is not in the system until the 19 cause they want to insure that they was a sufficient supply for customers. I work there I would know:good:
A store in Sherman Oaks, California wanted to sell me one, but they had no demos. The corporate store had the demo, but said they weren't authorized to sell it until Wednesday.
Guys Try the authorized retailers, they may not have to abide by corporate rules.
One thing is for sure: they all got shipments on Friday or Saturday
Cool thanks for the inputs guys.
i think the next logical question to ask is whether there were any additional stock units added to tmobile's inventory? like whether more stores received units that previously said "no" on the spreadsheet going around last week.
could any employees chime in on this? i'm still wondering if i need to make the hour trip to a location that said it'd have it.
