just want to inform everyone that this mode is not working on 1.54 roms and 6.06 roms
the only version this works is on 5.11 roms
thee xtremem power saver mode actually turns off all running apps and data conection and then display a notofication
usually when u exit this mode there will a lag when the phone shows the home screen.
in 1.54 and 6.06 roms there is no lag , so this show that this mode is not working as intended .
is there any way to make it work on all roms by editing some config files in the system ?
if so what are the exact steps to do thanks

Hello ppl..
I got a strange problem. My phone is able to go to recovery mode and download mode after I power-off my device. It's ok till this stage.
But when I long press the power button when the phone is running I got some options like silent mode flight mode etc.. and reboot, recovery and download mode. When I choose recovery or download the phone just reboots and does nothing. Do u got any idea about what's wrong with it? Ty for your help..

Can you write more about ROM which you use?
As far as I know there isn't any options which allows you to go into recovery or download mode from running OS (but I might be wrong). CPU detects signals from buttons: vol up, vol down, home, power and decide in which mode run phone (download, recovery or standard boot).
Do you really need recovery and download mode working from power menu? Do you flash your phone so often?

Its the extended power menu application that is faulty .
You have installed it so reinstall or reflash the rom it came with .

Im using insanity v.0.5.3
I never installed extended power menu app. Yeah im flashing my phone so often Kernels new roms etc. I think I broke something on root but dunno what..
If you have more than the stock power menu then its from a cooked rom .

Reflash the rom mate.
The power menu you are using is a part of the rom you are using, its obviously not working properly.
I tried to reflash, installed another rom (doc's rom) but it wasnt working on the other rom too..
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
Probably broke something wipe the lot and go back to basics .

Hello friends, I have a SGS I9000B Brazil, it installed a custom ROM JPD, this perfect, but would like to optimize the accesses more often here on XDA see several screens of the phone options that appears when you press the power button for February 2, see it outside the four options I have in my (Silent Mode, Network Mode Data, Offline and Off) that has seen some menus on some topics that have a few more like: Reboot, Recovery Mode, Download mode . The question is? How do add these additional options in my Froyo too?
they come part of a custom rom or theme.... the rom your running at the moment doesnt have it included. you can flash another rom, or just do the 3 button combo
because it can not find a customizable for JPD ROM

I would suggest that you ask/search this post as its a Brazil I9000B specific post .

Im using "[STABLE][ROM][4.1.2][JZO54K] CyanogenMod10 | BUILD #3" for few weeks now and I find is much much better than the stock ROM i had, despite the issues im facing.Big thanks to the developer for resolving the issues (had been following CM9 development as well).
Now to the issues im having."WARNING: It might get lengthy"
The wifi seems to be quite "moody" as it connects when it pleases. The airplane mode trick doesn't for me most of the time.i need to reboot and then i find my wifi is connected.Once i disconnect it it may or may not reconnect without the reboot.(hence moody)
The 3g also troubles me.I need to turn it off and on again and again. It just sleeps when not in constant use and refuses to wake up without disconnecting.
I also have to confirm a certain behavior of my phone after flashing. When i reboot my phone or do a turn off - turn on it hangs to a white screen with HTC written on it in green. So to start my phone i go into boot loader menu and select recovery. Now what selecting recovery does is loads my CM. im not sure whether its supposed to be like this.
here are the steps i followed (did it more than once to be sure)
1. Unlocked BootLoader
2. Rooted my phone
3. Installed CWM recovery
4. Followed the instructions here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2265060
Any help is appreciated. Also im open to alternative equally awesome ROMS.
yeah these are known bugs, we can't do anything against it now
For the wifi issue,
Turn on the airplane mode while the wi-fi is on so that when you turn airplane mode off,the wi-fi connects automatically..this works for me all the time...
Turning wi-fi off before switching on airplane mode and turning it back on after switching off airplane mode doesn't work all the time...
Hope this helps

Well the airplane mode trick works for me every time...But if its not working for try this
@webhijacker told me this ...Thank him
Turn on WiFi(duh)
When authentication problem occurs just tap on your WiFi SSID
Then tap forget ...Then turn WiFi off (Phone's WiFi not the router)
then switch it ON again & put your password, press OK
BAAM!! You will be connected to your WiFi in seconds
+No reboot required
And this method is confirmed working by many users
OH and for equally awesome roms
Try PAC MAN ROM BY @penguin449
Darkbreed III BY @addictz10
MiniProvisionMOD V2 BY @for811
Miui V5 BY @nikhil16242
Thanks for the workarounds. Luckily wifi and 3g both are working fine since my last reboot.(hope it stays this way :fingers-crossed.
@LaKsHaY1997 thank you for the alternatives. They all look good. But for now i think ill stick to CM 10.
Also my question from previous post regarding the behavior at boot time.I still don't know whether its supposed to be like that or somethings wrong.Because currently i cannot go into recovery as selecting recovery boots me into CM 10.

hmm.. I don't know about booting behavior but if you want to boot into recovery
you can try this: Make sure that your phone is off then connect it to your PC using USB cable
then It will automatically boot in recovery
OR
Press and Hold vol down button+Power button until htc screen comes up

Vol down + Power takes me to the bootloader menu with four options, "Recovery" as one.Selecting "Recovery" boots into CM 10.Also this is the only way i can turn my phone on to go into CM 10.Normally turning on just freezes at the HTC screen (white background with HTC in green) so to turn it on i HAVE to use the recovery option from bootloader.
Hi guys
I have my old Note 1 but I can't seem to get the lockscreen working after flashing any tw ROMs at all. I mean it boot straight into home screen and not setup comes up before hand. There is not lock screen even if options are in settings. Any help or explanation would be appreciated. Tried flashing numerous stock ROMs via recovery or Odin and still same. ROM boots up and goes straight to home. Also power button doesn't bring up the options to reboot or power off etc the phone just turns off right away. Thanks
hi i think there is no power button options on stuck rom.

Have you as a last resort tried using Odin and a pit file so it relays and wipes clean EVERY partition just in case its a setting gone wrong in a location that standerd flashing doesn't cover?
