I recently got my HTC One wet and had to put it in rice for a few days. Thank god it worked but now the green light won't turn off. It's constantly on, unless i turn off the entire phone. Any idea what's going on or how to fix it?

Hi everybody,
Unfortunately my Diamond got in contact with water some days ago. It was not completely floodet but it turned off and the watersensitive label got red. After some hours of drying time I tried to turn it on again, and it worked. Everything worked perfectly until yesterday evening when the Diamond turned off for no reason (in cinema, in flight mode). Now it turns off instead of turning to standby (irregularly) and I have to do a soft reset or take out the battery in order to reactivate it. I already tried a hard reset without success. What can I do?
Probably it has a little damage inside.
When electronic eguipment get wet you can only safe it by disassamble it totaly and dry with blower for hair. When you are lucky it will work probably after.
When not disassamble and just let it dry wil most of the time go wrong because the water stays inside and will slowly damage your phone in the end totaly.
Sorry I hope you have insurance.
Grtzzz
I need help please people. My friend has hd7, and he spiled some wather on it, and mobile worked for atleast 1hour. And then it went off, and could not be turned on again.. I tried to put it on charger and screen turns on displaying htc on it, but it restarts when it needs to boot windows. When i enter bootloader it stays on. But soon as i unplug the charger it wents off again. Any help or ideas is very much appriciated.. My friend is desperate.. (sorry for my bad eng.)
correction: it was vodka, not wather
Generally liquid in the phone can permanently damage the device. If the phone was in water you can still save it sometimes by putting it in a bowl of rice but other times you are just out of luck.
puting it in a bowl of rice?
Rice absorbs liquid and can work in some circumstances. You should have turned it off as soon as it got wet and either do the rice trick or use an airing cupboard. You may just be out of luck on this occasion.
Hey guys, great news! I youst left him in very worm place for abouth 6 hours, and works now. Ill rember your metods for next time
Thx 4 trying to help me, much apriciated.. :]
So I may have dropped my phone into a puddle this morning but I did manage to take it out in less than 3 seconds and remove the battery.
I waited a few hours and tried to turn it on but it would not. Thinking it was still wet I left it in the sun today hoping it would dry out.
Just now I plugged it into the computer with the battery in and saw that it starts, but it only shows the HTC logo and then reboots. Does anyone know why this would be?
I'm going to let it dry out a little longer and I hope that'll fix it.
Any other advice?
Thanks
Ok, so I've put in a bag of rice overnight but it's still doing the same thing.
Sometimes it makes it up to the Stick Together logo but then it just reboots.
Is there anything else I can try? I need the Focus S to come out now
Ok, so did some fiddling, rebooting into Bootloader and recovery environment and now it turns on fine! Not sure what the problem was but it's all good. Yay.
Hello everybody
Today I had me a horribad accident and ended up spilling coffee on my KFHD7. at first it seemed fine once I wiped it down, which was within 5 seconds. Then it went into fastboot mode and stayed there, so I shut it off. I put it in some rice for a bit to try and suck any moisture out, but now I've tried it again and it won't turn on, or respond to normal charging. I plugged it in with my factory cable (thanks SkOrPn :good and the screen just started cycling different colors; red, blue, white, etc. so i shut it off and jammed it back into the rice. anyone have any advice, other than maybe give it a little while? I just got cm10.1 running like a charm, and I was lovin' this thing. thanks all for any help
update: thanks to the jump start from the factory cable, its turned on again, although its not ready for active use. i think a few more days in the rice is a good call, since i saw a bit of a water mark on the screen but yeah. i recommend rice in this situation to anybody
a couple days ago i was going to work and it was raining a lot. my phone got wet and turned off by itself. i attempted to turn it on but it stays at the android one screen and after a few seconds it turns off. i dried the phone put it into rice as well as under the dehumidifier to make sure its all dry. the phone charges fine and i can enter fastboot and recovery menu (from where i dont know what can i do to possible fix it) and i cant understand why it doesnt turn on. any help would be appreciated!!!
