Hey guys, i just got a kindle fire HD and I've been reading alot of threads about rooting and 2nd booting the kindle devices, there are so much information that i honestly dont know where to begin. I honestly dont know the exact device i have. what i am looking to do is to revert the device to its android base instead of using amazon's os. I am a complete newbie when it comes to android devices and what can be done. can someone point me into the right direction to achieve my goal? Thank you in advanced!

Firstly, does your device have a front camera? If yes, running AOSP on it will be a piece of cake. Please post the software version

I'm a new Kindle Fire HD 7 owner too (with the front camera) and I'm wondering if I could somehow do wireless mirroring on the HD 7. Would that be possible?

I'm sorry if this has already been brought up somewhere else, but I have to ask.
Is there a safe way for me to install CM on SafeStrap right now? If not, is this something that I will see in the near future? If yes, explain.
No there is no way at all to install cm yet on the note 3.
It will most likely take an unlocked boot loader to do it.
For now the best you can get are various touch wiz based Samsung roms

Hi,
Check out the video link below! CyanogenMod's ScreenCast screen recorder allows you to easily record your screen, sounds from your phone, and your microphone all at the same time.

hope it will work, regards

It may be, but the files don't exist yet. Nobody has provided the stock images for it yet.
EDIT: @blambo was kind enough to upload the images. Post number 15: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2650596&page=2

otter and otter2 are for the G1 and G2 respectively. G2 is 2012 I think? You have 2013, so I guess that's blaze? Not sure. [/process of elimination] I could be wrong, so wait for another answer to be sure.
which system version do you have? it will be in settings

I'm new to Android, but familiar with Linux development. I'm working through the drivers to get a kitkat ROM together. I see no compatibility issues with 4.4.2, So thats where I'm shooting. There are too many issues with 5.0 to even consider it.

What? Are you going to create a ROM for this model? I have the Asus memo pad 173cx I think and I tried framaroot and it didn't work. What other methods do you know of that would root my tablet? Or could you flash the ROM using an adb thing?
As per the title - am I able to root or even install a stock Android version onto this tablet? My patience is running out with the Fire OS interface, so anything to bring it closer to the stock Android experience would be greatly appreciated. Even a different launcher would make a huge difference.
