Anything could happen but truthfully I am basing this on how nobody could figure out what would happen with the Nexus 5 and had a lot less specs than most rumors yet still has amazing performance and the battery life is pretty good for it's size because of it being pure Android. An FM radio chip would be amazing but in order for that to work they would have to ship earbuds with the device which I do not see happening.

Eh, they are really good with battery optimization so they don't usually need a big battery, why I said 2800mah instead if 3000mah+ and said 3gb of ram because they wouldn't make a 3rd one with 2gb of ram I would assume, but then again Samsung did that with the S5.

Noone will put a 4k display to 5" phone, thats plain stupid so this one you may drop.
Snapdragon 800 will be more likely used in tablets, so i also dont expect it to be in next Nexus device , it will most probably will be SD600 like in other top models this year.
Ill bet for 1080P , 5" screen (which is also useless in phone, but everyone got it so Google will also). 2GB of ram (who needs more in a phone?)
No sdcard slot, no removable battery - standard in google phones.
the most major change will be the OS, KLP will most probably be pushed to phones after I/O.

4k refers to video its called ultra hd.wow . also....it seems(could of course be wrong) like you dissing or dissmising nexuses?! First are you forgeting price??!! Way below norm.people are and will eventually flock once out of a contract fir a 249$ phone. Second nexus strives now(not the gnex albeit a good phone) to be the top o line device. My lgog which is the n4 brother destroyed the Samsung Galaxy s3 in the way many ways including speed. The lgog is the top scorer stock on quadrant. Yes i know its not everyday use im just making a point. I have contacts at lg(a cousin who is a dev) and all these specs are being seriously considered.(blueprint will be at fed communication soon) and the almost for sure one is the snapdragon 800. So your guess is flawed. Sorry

Have all the previous Nexus devices been announced in the fall time? If so, we still have a while to wait. If Tmo has an up an running hybrid LTE/HSPA+ network by then, that might be nice. However, if the N5 comes with that particular chipset, IT MUST MUST MUST seamlessly, flawlessly, and speedily switch between the two so you would never even know. I seem to remember hearing how the Gnex on verizon would take ages to go back to LTE. Also, is it too much to ask for a native T9 dialer?

More storage. And Instead of SD card a 32/64 GB models would good coz ib doubt they will put a SD card. That would be good. Full HD display.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
Disappointing yes but it may be a factor in keeping the cost low as well as getting the next manufacture to agree to make such a high spec low cost phone without hurting sales of their flagship model (ex: LG with their Optimus G)
I really think that SD cards are left out in nexuses because Google wants to promote cloud but more importantly are left with low storage capabilities on purpose in order to differentiate the phone from the manufacture's flagship. Its all part of the "compromise" between Google and the manufacture.
At the end of the day, I'm lucky enough to have 6GB a month of LTE data so storage space is becoming less and less important. I realize not everyone has data plans though and for those folk, the manufacture is hoping you'll pay more for their flagship that has an SD card slot or 32/64GB of internal storage.

Removable battery and camera at least as good as my Galaxy S3. Switch between my Nexus 4 and S3 and love everything about the Nexus 4 except the camera and the fact that I can't swap out the battery.
On screen buttons also reduce the actual screen size available.
Aluminum build would be nice as well so you don't have to baby the phone so much as I hate having to use a case on such a beautiful phone but am more concerned about cracking the back glass.
If rumors are true the nexus 7(2) will hit the shelves some time in July. What improvement are you expecting? Things that you don't like of the current N7.
I'd love to have a thinner and lighter tablet. The size of the bezel also need to be reduced, hence more display screen. Better display, color saturation should be enhanced. That's it for me. I'm happy with everything else.
I'd like to see a better display, a better CPU and 2GB of RAM. HDMI out and a USB host port would be nice too, but the USB host port isn't necessary since we can use OTG.
If the current N7 had HDMI out, I could use it for most of my work as an enterprise SAN admin.

1. Better Battery Life - Battery Life was awesome on the first months of purchase, then quality started to degrade(I'm currently using franco's kernel to compensate)
2.Consistent Performance - One of the main reasons I bought a nexus7 was because of its awesome performance esp when playing games, but when doing normal stuff like browsing the web or switching between apps, its performance is not something to look into. It doesn't mean that all 4 cores should be used when using the calendar/calculator/gallery/clock, but probably atleast make the interface smoother.
3.microHDMI
4. MicroSD card would be nice, but not a big con if it doesn't have one.
5. Atleast a 720 or 1080 IPS Display
6. 4G LTE
Some things that aren't a need but would be grateful to have.

Thanks for the correction. I would like to put 1080 but that would probably be overkill for $199 price point.
Brighter display perhaps? Compared to ipad mini, the nexus 7's display seems dim
Maybe a rear camera

IPS+ or Super AMOLED matrix
Bigger storage options (64 and 128 GB)

Snapdragon family processors, get rid of Tegra
MHL/HDMI output support
defo a external sd slot but thats not likely. So faster, better sound and screen.

New rumors say the Nexus 5 in its 32GB version could cost 399$, which should transform to 399€ in Europe. That's less difference to the LG G2 as I expected. In Germany you can buy the LG G2 in its 16GB version (with software branding, but we're at xda...) for 427,80€ - see attachment.
What makes the LG G2 better than the Nexus 5? Would it be better to pay almost 30€ more and give up 16GB of storage to get the G2?
so you lose 16gb of storage but you gain GRAM (better battery life), a 13MP camera and a slightly larger screen. If you don't need the 16GB of storage the G2 would be a pretty easy sell.
Having said that I highly doubt there will be a 3000 mAh battery in the N5, its just a very unconfirmed rumor thats not supported by the FCC, leaked log or leaked manual.

What is GRAM? Software? Won't use stock anyway. The bigger screen is nice but also makes handling worse and slightly decreases dpi. I don't know if that's a real benefit for me. So basically only the camera would be really interesting? And probably the battery? I doubt that about the 32GB version battery too, but you never know...

Yea if you go to a store that sells the G2 and compare it to the optimus G (more squarish but almost same size as the leaked N5) there is a pretty noticeable size difference, definitely effects the handling of the device. over about 320 DPI the average human eye cant tell a difference in DPI So I would not worry about that.
If you want to read up on GRAM check out this article... its basically an battery efficiency tool, supposed to add 10-15% battery life. No word yet on if the N5 gets GRAM. the Camera is just one of those things we wont know how it stacks up till its released.

It is possible. Because PC's now these days can control up to 64gb ram or more. That doesn't mean that mobile phones can't do it. All phones can do it, but they prefer not to because ram can take up a lot of battery. Plus, OnePlus 3 has already released 6gb ram on a phone before any other phone company. What if they released 8gb?
