Stuck on boot loader, phone boots - Nexus One Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys.
Yesterday i got my new nexus one and tried to start updating it to ICS.
I applied blackrose hboot and installed the hboot_220-16-200.nb0 file. After that i reboot the phone and went back to the boot loader. The problem is that i can't select any option, i see them, can move and select one but can't enter any mode.
The phone still boots up to the os without any problem. Any way i can fix this and access fast boot mode or similar?
Thanks

Are you using power key or trackpad to select options in bootloader?

[Q] My Nexus One cannot access recovery mode

Sorry if this question is a disturbance. I tried to search for the solution for my problem about a week, but nothing comes up.
I'm a Nexus One new user. My problem is that I can't access recovery mode. I have rooted and installed flash recovery image to my phone. But when I access recovery mode from bootloader menu (surely pressing volume down + power), the logo X appears on the screen for few seconds, then, the screen goes blank. No recovery menu appears. I must press Home + Power to choose reboot or power down to start my phone again. I tried amon-ra v.1..7.0 to v. 1.9 and clockworkmod v.2.5.0.7, but my phone screen still goes blank. Now I'm in despair and don't know what to do. I want to change my rom, but I can't if my phone can't access recovery mode.
Anybody help me please.
I had the same problem after allowing Clockwork to access ROM in its submenu.
I used the following instructions to flashboot the recovery-RA-nexus-v.1.9.0-alpha.img
back into the N1 (blue care bear one).

You need to download the SDK too to do this, but I'm guessing you already have that
Try Clockwork 2.5.11. It's been updated to support SLCD Nexus Ones. You can flash it straight from ROM Manager.

Seriously Bricked Droid 3? Help!!

Hey guys, sorry for the cliche first post, but believe me I have been searching and reading all night and day for a problem similar to mine.
I was running CM9 on my Droid 3 and was having trouble because my phone kept running in safe mode, which was causing some of my apps to not work, and when I turned safe mode off, it ran the stock droid OS, which I didn't want. Therefore, I manually turned my safestrap off (first mistake) so now I can't get into it. Alternatively, my volume down button doesn't seem to be working so I can't select AP Fastboot to flash my phone back to factory settings and eliminate all my woes. When I try to power my phone on manually, all it does is load me into the BP Flash screen, which to my understanding doesn't work (why did they put it in?). I've tried to press the down direction key and power to shortcut into AP Fastboot, as well as power button volume down, neither of which work. I can get into the screen with Normal boot, recovery, etc but cannot select anything, and it just goes to normal boot and proceeds to bootloop. Is there anything I can do in this predicament? Any help is much appreciated.
If you can, try using the keyboard arrow keys to navigate the boot menu.. I've never tried it before but its worth a shot.

[I9001] Phone stuck in bootloop

I don't know how the issue started. I have been using CM10 for almost 2 months without issues. I restarted the phone and boom! It was stuck in a bootloop with that boot animation keeping appearing all the time. I tried a factory reset, flashing the ROM again, flashing another ROM, and even flashing the stock ROM with all the images using ODIN. It was still stuck on the boot animation. I was surprised that the last solution didn't work because everytime I did it, the phone recovered from the bootloop.
I can still enter into download and recovery mode.

Samsung GT-I9000 boot into recovery mode after pressing the power button
Not sure it is the same problem or not, but my phone (Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9000) keeps booting into recovery mode everytime I turn on the phone by pressing the power button. I tried to root with the stock PIT file and stock ROM or CWM recovery and stock ROM or any customized ROM, such as CMD 10.1, but it still boots into the recovery mode every time I turn on the phone WITHOUT using any combo keys, e.g. VOL down, Home and Power buttons).
The thing is that the recovery mode is not looping. Basically, after I press just the POWER button, the phone boots into the recovery mode and stay there.
Please help!
Many thanks!!!

Hey you are gonna want to flash a stock image using odin which will solve your problem. There should be a guide somewhere
My problem is solved, I had to go to "Mounts and storage" in recovery and choose "format /cache"

What you have to do is to flash the boot loader, I had the same exact problem and this solved it. But our devices are different so I don't think my boot loader will work on yours.

[Q] Why can certain phones not enter recovery from boot?

Hello,
I have a unlocked Galaxy S 3 Mini which I bought in the UK, after flashing TWRP I noticed that I couldn't boot into recovery with the key combination at boot. Only by selecting "Recovery" from the reboot menu of certain roms or by using adb, but both require that the phone is functional. I'm mainly worried about if the phone happens to be non-functional and I'm unable to get to a useable state.
Is there any other way to boot into recovery or a fix for this problem?

Make sure to charge phone to 100% before doing. After you flashed, you can then flash your favorite rom and still retain the 3 button combo.

Install the S3 Mini toolkit then install from the toolkit the 3 button combo.. It should flash something with Odin3.

[Q] Stock phone bricked from OTA?

I got my wife a Moto X yesterday, which has not been rooted or modified at all, and got the 4.4 update notification today. I downloaded the update and tried to install it. During the install, the phone tried to reboot but it got stuck at the Motorola logo. It sat there for over an hour, so I turned the phone off. As soon as the phone turns off, it turns itself back on and gets stuck at the Motorola logo. I can get the phone into recovery mode, but selecting Recovery and Factory options do nothing but go back to the Motorola logo. I have tried using the Toolkit to flash the phone, but it needs to be either in Android or the bootloader so I can't seem to do anything. Do I have any other options? I would prefer to fix it myself because I can't take the phone back to AT&T until Sunday and I don't want my wife (who is pregnant) to be without her phone for that long.
Did you try to just erase user data ? (You will lose person content on the phone)
Did you try to just erase cache ?
Did you try to boot only in safe mode ?

I can't do any of that because I cannot get into the OS.
Can you get into recovery or bootloader?

Go in fastboot mode. (Power up holding vol Dow key)

When you are trying to select options in fastboot are you using the volume up to select them? I've read a lot of places where people try to use the power button to select when they should be using vol up.

I have the same problem with my T-Mobile moto I received yesterday. Prompts for update, downloads and attempts to install, then opens in bootloader with 'Failed to hab check for boot: 0x56'. If i try to boot into recovery it gives the same error, 'Failed to hab check for recovery:0x56'. If I try to factory reset from the settings menu the phone powers off and does the same thing.
I read somewhere that the bootloader and recovery images need to be flashed again but I can't seem to find a working link to download them. I should add that once I use Minimal Fastboot to give the command 'fastboot erase cache' the phone will reboot properly and prompt me to download the update again. All is good as long as I dont try to update to Kit Kat. Please help, it will be greatly appreciated.
