I have activated this GS5 lock screen app that is supposed to allow me to add widgets to my lock screen but it does not have a GUI nor directions on how to add the widgets to lock screen. How does this work?

Hello everyone -
I'm looking for a transparent lockscreen solution for my cappy. There's a thread about doing this for the Hero/Eris, but it requires a Sense odex. (tried to post URL but I'm not allowed as new user...)
My ideal lockscreen is transparent over the default home screen, so I can still see my standard clock and other home screen widgets. I've tried Widget Locker but I don't like it.
Any help or suggestions?

Click to collapse
Could probably modify android.policy to remove lock screen entirely, lol. It's probably a ton more work to enable a sense-style lock.
Or install nolock and adjust your screen timeout to a low number. Pressing the power button would then go straight to your homescreen with full functionality and pressing it again would just turn the screen off.
Hello
I'm looking for a way to disable/lock the tap to open on certain widgets.
Not sure if such an app exists, and searching didn't lead me anywhere.
I've been using minimalistic text on my home screen and I have a bad tendency to always click on the widget since it's in the middle of the home screen.
Is there a way to disable the opening of the application?
I know some other apps have this built in, but it's not part of minimalistic text as of yet.
This sounds like a request you need to make to the widget developer. I don't know of an application that can create "dead" zones on your homescreen.
Hey guys,
I'm on CM7 and have WidgetLocker. I'm wondering if I am able to still use a sort of phone/screen lock (Pin, PW, Pattern) without having the default Android lock screen first.
What I mean is straight from WidgetLocker --> Enter Password --> Homescreen.
I played around with the settings and the closest I came was I ended up having to go through 2 lockscreens (both the WidgetLocker and the default one) and the code, which is a bit redundant.
Side question: How do I change the statusbar icons? (Signal, Wi-Fi, Battery icons) Do they come along with released themes? Or can I mod them manually?
Thanks, appreciate it.
I believe that you can do this by using the pattern lock screen but the others won't work basically after you unlock it should pull up the pattern lock screen.
Oh and the easiest way to get themes is to search the forums here and the market for CM7 Themes and then just download and use the Theme Chooser App.
CM7.1 includes a setting to disable the system slider before security.
CM Settings > Lockscreen > Disable lockscreen on security
CM7 doesn't, but you can use WL's Root Helper's Autoswipe instead.
Thanks for the help guys, I got it to work using the Root Helper.
One last question: Is there a way to have these WidgetLockers as the screen to answer calls instead of the default Android one? Thanks!
Thanks for your help!
I have a Galaxy s5. I'm using Go Launcher 5. I have Xposed installed with four modules installed: Wanam, Xposed G-touchwiz, handleexternalstorage, and greenify. Somewhere along the line I set my status bar to transparent so I could see the entire wallpaper. It's transparent on the main screen and the app drawer in Go Launcher. It's also transparent in touchwiz when I drop out of Go launcher. This indicates to me that Go Launcher is not where I made the setting, so it has to be either in one of the Xposed modules or in touchwiz itself.
I don't know if Xposed settings can continue if for instance I made this setting in a module and then deleted the module. I used a "tinted status bar" module for a short time but no longer have that installed.
Can someone have mercy and help me figure out where I made this setting? I really thought it was in touchwiz but I'm n ot finding it after much searching through settings, and I want to switch it back, or make the bar a little less transparent.
Thanks for any help on this.
I never really post on here because I can usually find what I'm looking for in the search tab but this one I need some help with. I'm running the N5 express rom on my note 4 and I love everything about it. One thing I want to mod is the scroll looping on the launcher and app drawer. I tried doing the traditional change with root browser, csc, feature, change the value of disable page rotation to false, but every note 5 launcher already has this value but the page rotation doesn't loop. I had this issue with the s6 edge echoe rom as well. I'm not sure if there is something else that needs to be changed in the N5 TouchWiz launcher. I can't post in the development section yet so any help would be awesome. Thanks
