I just normally clear it using the built in app manager? Still curious why it actually happens

System resources become diminished and need refreshing..a reboot does this also..kinda like computers..to free up RAM and so on..

Does using an app like clean master differ from using built in cache cleaner?

I do not agree...
I used to run jb on the x for over 1700 hours without rebooting, and there where no force closures..
It all comes down to the coding, both the app and operating system...

I have to agree with @SanD-82
The key here is the App DEV's coding skills. My phone can run for months without a reboot or anything becoming sluggish or FCing. In fact, the only time it EVER gets rebooted is when I managed to run the battery completely down...

Why not?
Safestrap is for use with a locked bootloader.

no, you can use it with both locked and unlocked bootloader, unlocked bootloaders cannot have more than one partition as of now for our device, but safestap can have upto 3 partitions, that means you can have 3 roms at the same time with boot selection option,, i have tried having cm,pac and aokp at the same time a month ago and i worked well..

Basically sure it may somewhat work. But basically it's not made for unlocked bootloader roms. That's why we keep having all these newbs bricking they're phones.

but, if you have your bootloader unlocked there is no possiblity for soft brick and these kind of things cannot cause hardbrick... if you mess up with something you can fastboot it to stock easily and install cwm or twrp.. it is soo simple, noobs get bricked because they have a locked bootloader yet, they try these things.. before you start with something related to modification, it is highly recomended to unlock your bootloaderand it is safe after unlocking..
Safestrap is just a workaround to let us play with our phones. A poor workaround at that. Noone here recommends running safestrap on top of an unlocked boot loader as well.
If people want "slots" make a cwm backup of your ROM. Flash a new ROM. Back a backup. Switching between the two is simple.

SS will work, but it has safeties in place that make some of its functions do what we don't need them to do now that we're unlocked. Format commands are really wipes, can't flash boot or recovery with it (by default), etc. If SS was recoded to be installed to the recovery partition and the safeties removed then it would be TWRP with MultiRom, but the safeties in place makes it a bit of a nuisance with custom roms, kernels, and unlocked devices.
I agree but because it's sticked in the development section all the noobs use it and end up breaking something.

Very nice. I was using a random one from play, but uninstalled it and switched yours. I like how with yours i can wipe both caches at the same time. The other one made me do them one at a time

Great work, it's efficient which is exactly what this kind if app should be. I think a nice addition would be if it could tell us how large the cache is....if you feel like adding that.

That's the truth. Working on this theme (and some little tweaks) I've bootlooped this thing 2 twice a day this week, I'm so tired of using lg flash tool to restore, really missing my twrp right now.
On a side note I've been working on a deodex stock for everyone to use a base. I was trying to use the stock kdz file, but ask the extract tools are giving me a corrupt cab file, any tips? I prefer to use the untouched base because I've replaced a lot of files on my phone already so it wouldn't a full stock if i just adb pulled my /system

Will unlocking cause total device reset?

I remember on my RAZR HD, Motochopper completely erased my device. When I unlock this phone, am I to expect the same?

If you unlock the bootloader, yes. It will do the equivalent of a factory data reset.
Be sure to make a list of all the apps you want so you can re-install afterwards. Also remember to backup any pictures and files you have saved on the phone. You will lose everything.
I can't begin to tell you how much better this phone looks than my RAZR HD maxx

[MOD][4.4.2] Native Tether Exploit for XT907 Build 183.46.10/ Build 182.46.10

I TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR PHONE OR ANY DAMAGE INCURRED FROM APPLYING THIS.
Due to the popularity of my exploit for the Droid Maxx/Ultra on this line of phones, I decided to make one for you guys.
Prerequisites:
Rooted RAZR M on Kit Kat 183.46.10
You will not be able to do this on stock phones.
1. Download Root Explorer by Jrummy in the Play store.
2. Download the correct tether zip for your build attached to this post.
3. Go into Root Explorer and find System folder, find priv-app, inside priv-app long press VZWEntitlementServices.apk and VZWEntitlementServices.odex rename to VZWEntitlementServices.apk.bak and VZWEntitlementServices.odex.bak and back out to first folder.
4. Go to sdcard folder, download and find tether.zip that you downloaded from step 2. Extract the build.prop, copy it and back out to the home folder. enter the system folder. Rename the build.prop that is there to build.prop.bak, then paste the one you extracted from the zip.
5. Long press on the file and hit permissions in the menu. change permissions Owner: Read/Write, Group:Read, Others: Read (should show rw-r--r--)
6. Exit out of root explorer
7. Reboot
8. Check the tether it should work.
9. PROFIT! Thank baby jesus and buy me a beer lol
10. Donations are appreciated to TopSnake
confirmed
works, even in a different country without Verizon networks!
THANKS! i'm sure this will come in handy for so many people!
Thank you kindly for your time putting this together... I apologize for my ignorance yet I have to ask prior to trying this out... I'm sitting on 182 rather then 183 would I still be able to get this going?

I already did it, I just replaced the build.prop file with the one you uploaded and nothing happens.
Will it work only when a sim card is introduced?
I mean, for example I want to use SuperBeam app to send files via wifi, it works with all my devices without a sim card.
I will use a sim card and see if that is working

Use the phone without a sim card and try enabling hotspot.
This is what I did
1. I Downloaded Root Explorer by speedsoftware in the Play store.
2. Downloaded the 182 tether zip
3. In Root Explorer System/priv-app, I renamed VZWEntitlementServices.apk and VZWEntitlementServices.odex to VZWEntitlementServices.apk.bak and VZWEntitlementServices.odex.bak.
4. In download folder I opened 182 tether.zip, Extracted the build.prop. In the system folder renamed the build.prop that is there to build.prop.bak, then paste the one I extracted from the zip.
5. I set permissions to new build.prop to (rw-r--r--)
6. Exit out of root explorer
7. Reboot
8. Nothing happens, all options are unavailable as before.
