I have the same problem with my phone using mtk6592 chip android 4.4.2. I also tried to connect gear neo to my wife's phone Oppo R1 with mtk chip but no luck. The problem here is gear neo can not connect to devices using mtk chip. I did a search and lot of people have the same issue with china phone. Any one can help to solve this??? Thanks a ton!
Same here, doesn't pair with Microsoft Band nor Zenwatch 2..
BLE BT 4 pairing with heart rate sensor works.
If you guys havent got it figured out yet, this thread seems to be the place to go
Has anybody gotten Android auto to function with the galaxy note 7? I just picked one up due to getting too many faulty HTC 10'S and I was wondering if there's any way I can get this to work on my pioneer sph-da120. This radio has been a nightmare for me because I haven't been able to get any Android phones to work on it
That radio is an AppRadio. It's not compatible with Android Auto. It is compatible with Pioneer's AppRadio app.
I doubt the Note 7 is MHL compatible, so you'd need to use mirrorlink or a Chromecast to work with that phone. I used a Chromecast for my AppRadio 2.

If you have no media audio option that's the typical problem many note 7s have. I could not get it to connect to my 2013 optima either same as any others w/ kia/hyundai as well as other cars.
Hello guys not sure if its wrong section or not.
But i was wondering if there is anyway to implement android auto on toyota camry 2019 head unit?
Because i think Toyota already stated if you want android auto on camry get a 2020 model or later so i dont want to upgrade my camry just to get android Auto.
So i was wondering if there anything can be done on 2019 model ?
Thanks ..
I think that the fastest solution is to buy a new aftermarket head unit.
Search the brand like Pioneer, Sony, Alpine.
Often Pioneer provide a dedicated head unit for the specific car
For Toyota Camry SX (xse for USA) in Australia you can pay Toyota dealership to get it installed. I'm only mentioning this for any other Australians. I have Android auto on my 2019 Camry works with Xiaomi redmi note 8 pro, Sony Xperia xa 2 ultra , Xperia xz3 and Xperia x1 ?
Hi guys! What was the first ever phone or device you ever used? Was it an Android, iOS or something else? Did it make you change your perception of the OS as more trustworthy? Are you still sticking to using that OS? What are your ideas?
89 Motorola bag phone... lol, OS?
Just a mobile phone with a real light keypad.
No OS here, move along...
Back in the late 1980s I did a few tests at my workplace with one of those massive shoe-sized mobile phones — name and model number totally forgotten.
The first phone that I owned was given to my by my son (probably when he upgraded), and I can't find it online. It was an old Motorola with memory for 20 contacts (!), text-only display, probably dating from around 2003 or so. OS? Did it even have one? It's main claim to fame is that it did phone calls and texts, and very likely it would still be working if it hadn't been dropped in water.
Then followed a couple of Nokia Symbian S60 phones (6120c and E-63). After Symbian was discontinued, I acquired an Android model and have used Android in one form or another ever since. iOS doesn't appeal (maybe because they are all priced out of my range) but I occasionally look to see if anything is happening re Linux phone development.
micromax a96 android 4.2.2

Hi guys,
I have a BMW X4 2021 with Android Auto and I had a Samsung Galaxy Fold 3 paired and works fine, but then my phone died and now I have a Vivo X Fold and you know this one is not compatible with Android Auto.
So please could you help me and tell me which options do I have to buy a very cheap phone (maybe used) to have it only to work with my Android Auto ? I will buy it only for that so please I need something cheap hehe
I have fear to buy a phone and this one doesn´t work, so please tell me what I could buy.
Thank you so much in advance!!
I found a Samsung S7 edge like new and cheap, do you know if this one will work with AA ?, better to ask before because is a little old phone.
You need now at least Android 8.0. Google increased the requirements lately from Android 6.0 to 8.0.
As far as I know, there is Android 8.0 available for the S7 Edge. Therefore it should work with Android Auto.
But do not expect to have it working for very long time. Some day Google will increase the minimum Android version again.
