[Q] Arco's Recovery

Hello. I recently installed Arco's recovery and ICS (cm9), but now I have to install a Gingerbread - based rom. Is Arco's recovery compatible with non - ics roms or do I have to flash the old cwm again?
Thanks.

Hello I am using Arco too~~may I ask u that how to install the recovery and ICS?
I rooted Arco already, should I try to unlock the BL and then install an ICS ROM for LT18?
really dun know what to do....
thanks very much~~~
Can you still go to recovery? If you can reflash CM9 to get CWM back. If you don't flash a new kernel with odin
Well... if you install a new ROM your recovery gets lost so you'll have to flash it again anyway.
CWM 6
I've built a new recovery. Could someone test it? Here is the link: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0BwlE_OdJFnPgLUdUcG55R0dUMGs/edit#
You can flash it using broodplank's Quick Flasher or with dd command. Flash it at your own risk.

[Q] custom rom problem,

i have installed cwm recovery 4.0.0.5 and trying to download paranoid android custum rom 2.6.but after installing rom my is not booting and i am unable to use my phone.:crying::crying: pls help
first check if the rom is for old or new bootloader. Is this your rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2097807 ?I suggest you use the ICS (NEW) bootloader version. So you need to install it.Download All in one tool http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2020737 .Use option 4 and select new bootloader and CWM 6.0.x.x.If you have an external sd card then put the rom (Paranoid ICS bootloader version on it and Gapps). When you successfully install new bootloader and recovery then just flash the rom from recovery alongside gapps.Dont forget to wipe data/cache/dalvik

Bootloop on custom ROMs; stock ROM OK

Hi all!
I flashed my recovery to TWRP and ever since then, I always get stuck in bootloop no matter what custom ROM I try. Flashing back to stock rom via ODIN works.
It's been a while since I've tinkered with custom ROMs so I may be missing something. Any ideas on where to start?

Hi,
Which phone ? i9305 or i9300 ?
Which version of TWRP do you use ?
You should try latest version of TWRP (2.8.7.3).
Or try Philz touch Recovery 6.48.4 or 6.59.
1.Repeat ODIN step to stock rom
2.Root the phone by kingroot (as it's doesn't required pc)
3.After rooting, Download Cwm rom manager
4.Install Cwm by selecting your phone model and etc
5.flash it directly from the apps
6.now you can flash any rom ( please backup your system for your safety)
