hi, im new to in android. currently I rooted my phone with zergrush+CWM v3.0 installed. my question is, should i install [ROM] 2.3.6 Deodexed STOCK XXKL3/Modem DDKL1 - MultiCSC - Rooted (CF-Root-KL3, CWM5) before flash to Rocket Rom v9-KL3? I tried several tricks like FULL wipe before install the zip file in CWM recovery & also did FULL wipe after install the rom. but I still getting a bootloop.

I tried installing custom rom cyanogenmod 7.2, creed even chocobread with cwm recovery but im still stuck in samsung logo.My phone was previously android 2.2.1.Is it necessary to upgrade to stock gingerbread first and then install cwm recovery and flash custom gingerbread ROMs??
Pls help.

You will always have that problem coz the ROMs you flashed requires GB. so go flash GB first before you install CWM and custom ROMs..

it should be 2.3.4 before you installing CWM
HERE IS WHAT YOU NEED:
1. YOU NEED TO FLASH YOUR PHONE TO GINGERBREAD 2.3.4
2. AFTER FLASHING STOCK ROM, ROOT IT!
3. INSTALL CLOCK WORK MOD
In this part, it is now the installation of your CUSTOM MADE ROM
1. Wipe Dalvick Cache
2. Wipe Data/Reset
3. Wipe Cache
4. Install Zip from sd card then locate the zip file
5. YOUR GOOD TO GO!
BTW: Always wait for the rom to load, it may take awhile to load if it is installed for the first time

You need to flash GB-
Using Odin multi downloader+tass and also need CWM(for flash CM)...

hi there, can someone guide me how to install criskelo ics 10.1 rom, i use to flash rocketrom before, so i think i got some skill on flashing custom rom...but itried to flash criskelo 9.1 last week n the result my note got hard brick, cant turn to download mode or recovery mode... luckily, i still got waranty on my note and sent it to SS n get new board as replacement...so can some one guide me the safest way to flash this rom...now im on stock ics 4.0.3 rom n rooted...

so which rom is best for now
If I were you, I would:
1. Download abyss kernel (this is a gb kernel so it should be safe)

2. Install abyss from cwm (don't do any wipes)
3. Still in cwm, go to advance and reboot cwm
4. Do the three wipes (cahe, dalvik and factory)
5. Install criskelo's rom
It should be done.

So im having a peculiar problem. I have been running Ultimate ROM V5.1 on my galaxy note GT n7000.
I am not able to change to any other rom from this
While flashing the ROM through CWM, it encounters and error after opening the package and then the installation aborts.
I have tried the following roms
Cyanogen mod (stable release)
Stunner android ver 4.2.2
i have tried re-flashing, full wipe and factory reset. Still getting the same error.
Am i doing something wrong? Please advise.

Yes i have faced this problem, flash a non PhilZ kernel with a non PhilZ recovery and then go to recovery (like hydracore kernel) and flash. The PhilZ custom recovery causes some problems for certain ROMs.
i am on ics rooted safe kernel is there any way to install sweet rom v11 without updating to 4.1.2 official and then rooting via philz
Yes... flash from CWM. You may need to wipe data.

Looking for answers for following matter: after trying to root (and install custom ROM) to device, root process causes bootloop.
So far did following: flashed stock fw with Odin 1.83
1. Run app with admin privileges
2. Booted to download mode
3. Flashed several stock fw:s e.g JVU, JVH and JWB (region: Nordic/NEE), always full wipe after installation in stock recovery
Until this point everything works just fine but way beyond goes following:
1. Using CF-Root / SpeedMod Gingerbread Kernel
which both causes bootloop despite of full wipe or not full wipe in recovery.
Seeking for answer how to properly root, install custom recovery and custom ROM such CM10.2 or CM11.
