Hi,
i just had a look at my speakers and it looks like the small holes are clogged. So i wanted to know, how do you clean them?? i don't want to do it with a pin, so i thought about air supplying device, but than the dirt is blown into the device :silly:
So someone an idea??

Hey Guys,
The front of my diamond is in pretty bad condition. Well it looks fine when you glance on it but on further inspection there are many scratches on the screen including a big one in the top right hand corner. I have noticed that there seems to be a thin glass panel over the actual screen, Is it possible to get this replaced with a panel which is scratch free?
Furthermore, my speaker is buggered. My mate read some article on the internet saying that if you smear your phone with toothpaste then it removes scratches. Unfortunately he decided to try it. The toothpaste has got into the ditch where the speaker is and it's clearly blocked up. I can just about hear the phone when I am indoors and there is no noise but when outdoors I cannot hear a thing. It was a bit too quiet for my liking before anyway. Where can I get the speaker replaced preferably with a louder speaker?
I'm new to repairing phones as I usually just buy a new one if something goes wrong but I like my diamond
Any Suggestions?
Too bad for the toothpaste there are polishing fluids for sale which seem to work, although i wouldn't try it. Seems to mee you could ask HTC if you're really interested in spare parts ?
So I noticed this morning that the silver ring around my headphone jack is gone, I never dropped it so I really don't know how it is missing. Does it affect waterproofing, it looks like u can see down into the phone through the space. I posted a kind of crappy pic from my laptop cam and a pic from gsmarena to show what it should look like. Anyone has a clue if this affects waterproofing?
Maybe but since we dont know it will keep the seal of the jack. Sony design and seal jack tight using glue so I think they do not affect waterproof capable...
Same issue here, mine phone is Z2, the silver ring has gone too. The Sony staff told me that may break the waterproof feature. :crying::crying:
Or have you try it out by putting it into water?
I think its better not to put ur phone into water still its unsure wether its safe or not.
Better go to sony centre and ask them bout it
Hi to all,
Is the charging port board also the piece that houses the mic? Apparently mine partly died while going into the beach for a while a few days back and no one can hear me clearly, doesn't matter how much I try to dry the unit (rice included). Just wanted to make sure, I see the piece in Ebay advertised as including the mic for as little as $5 but just want to be extra sure.
Anyone know?
Same thing happened to me and it was dust and/or sand inside of the mic hole. I used a vacuum cleaner to get the debris out. You can also use a toothpick to clean it.
Thank you, will try.
Hello,
If you have an issue with the original headphones, i.e. low sound
Hers is a tip
Just remove the metal cover the sound will be great, better than vaiper4android!
Look at the picture
I dont think that the metalcover makes such a big difference. Generally the Huawei-headphones suck.
Even with the Cover removed, the Sound is still bad. (I tried this, because I dont use them at all so I dont give a f*** about them )
Greetings from Germany.

Well, your were just dirty. The metal cover doesn't make the headphones quieter. It acts as a dirt filter. Yours was so dirty that the dirt made the sound quite. Now, the dirt and dust can get right into your headsets, which will not only make them a lot quieter over time, it can also destroy them. You basically just damaged one of the most important parts of your headphones.
Clean your ears more frequently.

I didn't insult you directly. The last sentence was maybe to much and I want to apologize for that. I said dirt, this can be everything. Could be sand, dust, whatever.

Hello,
Love my M7 phone, had three of them in the last five years or whatever. Unfortunately they have all developed the same fault, the speakers go crappy and end up sounding all "farty"!!!
It seems to be because of the work I do. I'm a machinist by trade and will all the metal and crap, the speakers being magnetic attract tiny slithers of metal through the speak grill and it eventually ruins them.
Is there any kind of protector/cover for the speaker to stop crap getting in there? Covering them will impair the sound will it not?
I have a case, but it more of a back and sides case. The front is open other than a screen protector.
I don't want to see another M7 go the same way, if it does I won't bother getting another.
Thanks.
Put the phone backwards in case while working.
