Wifi Tethering for LG Thrill?

Can anyone recommend a good app for WiFi tethering on the LG Thrill? I had an iPhone for a long time and always used MyWi. It would be nice to find something similar.
use any cut to create a short cut to hidden menu. From there, go to action and find the settings for wi-fi. you can disable the check which will allow you to tether whenever you want from the settings menu.
pretty easy stuff
This willw ork even if I dont pay for tethering through AT&T? What I am looking for is an alternative to the monthly fee from AT&T
Yes, most definitely. This was posted in this very forum about 1.5 - 2 weeks ago. Nothing I've figured out mind you.
Thanks.. and my bad.. I should have looked through the board a little bit more..

FYI-Foxfi Bluetooth Tether Work-around Gear Watch

I have been following XDA since my Droid X and Nook Color Hacking days. We have come a long way since then.
I have been doing a lot of reading on how to get internet to the Gear on mu primary phone without rooting or custom rom, here is what I came up with.
I have always been taking advice from them and now its time to give back. This worked for me and I hope you can use it to work somehow for you.
Method 1 : My old phone I recently took out of service is a Verizon Motorola Razr Maxx running rooted 4.1.2 Stock Rom.
I used SQLite Editor to flip the bit to eneable the native hotspot tethering, ( I have unlimited data ).
My current phone is Samsung Galaxy S4, Non root running 4.3, compatiable with the Gear Watch. So I take the sim out and put into the Razr Maxx to get cell service, Then I can pair the watch ( after putting the custom rom on ) to the Maxx. Turn on Bluetooth tethering and I had internet on the watch.
That was a pain because I lost the gear manager and I had to keep flipping my sim from 1 phone to another.
Method 2 : Much better till something better comes along.
My Samsung Galaxy S4 is a stock non rooted 4.3 rom with Foxfi running on it, no root and it works. Here is what I do:
I start Foxfi on my primary phone (Galaxy S4 ) to start wi-fi tethering, enable Bluetooth to connect to the Gear Watch with Gear Manager, all ok.
I connect my Razr Maxx to the Galaxy S4 via WI-FI hotspot, make sure I have internet on Razr Maxx, all ok.
Enable Bluetooth on Razr Maxx and connect to my watch, then I go into settings on Maxx and enable Bluetooth tethering in native Hotspot section. Enable Bluetooth tethering for internet on custom rom settings under Bluetooth>paired devices>razr maxx settings>allow internet access. The Gear Watch is on bluetooth internet via the Maxx.
I know, 2 phones, 2 radios running on both phones. I got to admit I thought the internet would be slow on the Gear doing the extra hop to get there but it wasn’t.
I hope I explained this ok, this is my first tech post to share, Enjoy

I have the custom rom on the watch, you still need to get the watch to the internet via bluetooth.

[Q] Tethering Question Using PDA Net

Hello everyone,
I have not found an answer to my question despite looking around. I currently have a note 4 on T-Mobile and would like to tether it to my macbook. Unfortunately, I am weary that the usage will count against my 3GB tethering plan. The problem I have is that I'm trying to hide the tether usage on a mac. Where are the app settings for pda net? On a windows computer I can obviously right click and click hide usage, but I cannot seem to find this option on my macbook. Am I missing something? Does the mac app automatically hide the usage? Does the app for mac lack this ability? Thanks for any help.
It does not work. In other words, you don't need it because any data generated under it will still count against your 5 gig limit.
Root is the only way as far as I know.
It's up in the air (regarding root) because of the whole JUMP/Knox thing. I have heard the stories of success, but I plan to ask at my local store with some nonchalance about custom roms etc. When I JUMPed they actually gave me a deferred jump meaning I take the new phone home and send back the old Note 3, the guy didn't even check the software. The old note 3 was rooted via the towelroot method. He only checked for cracks, water damage, and if it powered on. While I had the Note 3 it was easy rooting and using wifi tether router. I forgot to mention that I have the unlimited plan, the old $70 one, not the new Unradio $80 plan. But as I understand it, Pdanet didn't build the Mac version of the app with the hiding usage in mind. I have seen the options using an iPhone on the phone side. Looks like I might need a windows machine for my setup then...

Galaxy Note 3 Rooted- Straight Talk Tethering Stuck At "Verifying"

Straight Talk Tethering, rooted phone
Just trying to use my rooted ST note 3 for a hotspot for my little tab4 tablet. Ran the file programs but only have 2 lines with tethering info and both are set to '0'. Neither one is the providers check gateway? Line. Just a tethering provision line and a tethering automation line. When I turn on my hotspot it just runs 'verifying' and never goes anywhere. Even tried to turn it on and check files while its accessing but still only two lines at '0' show. Thanks for reading this.

I use X Tether http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.dym.motoxtether for my note 3 and it works for me (with X Tether you need Xposed Installer http://repo.xposed.info/module/de.robv.android.xposed.installer . I have used this on different devices and it has worked too, [HOW TO] Tether Blocking Fix http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/help/how-to-tether-blocking-fix-t2544487

On KitKat you must have exposed to tether(plus other programs). Google caved in to the big providers and the incentive seems to be money. If you are on JB Foxfi should work from the play store.

Urbane LTE 2nd Edition

So I decided to hold on to my Urbane LTE 2. Currently I'm a bit annoyed at the fact that the watch needs to be tethered to the phone albeit via wifi or over LTW, the phone needs to be online for all Google functions to be able to work. Annoying!
There is no proper whatsapp support that I could find. Whatsapp is a integral part of my daily communication. I think I use it more than making phone calls or texting.
I was wondering if there is any way to install a full Android system on the watch as has been done for the Gear S.
I would highly appreciate any tips and secrets etc. I love this watch and really want it to be a standalone and independent device. I do not want to carry my Note 5 with me anymore.
Thanks in advance,
F.

Old thread I know but did you ever get your watch worked out? I have my Urbane 2 and Note 5 working together as well as a Gear S and both need the Note 5 on and connected via at least LTE or wifi to work properly. I don't carry my Note 5 much on weekends as there's no need any longer with these two devices. 'ok google' works on the Urbane LTE gen 2 just fine when connected remotely.

Thanks for the reply. I haven't used my Urbane or Gear s in months since I'm using the Finow 3G. I would still love to be able to use the Urbane LTE 2 4G with full Android on it.
