Hello everybody!
One more Thread about this problem, but its NO solution in previews threads !
I have HTC One M7:
**** LOCKED ****
M7_UL PVT SHIP S-ON RH
HBOOT - 1.56
os - 4.21.422.2
Its Android 4.4.2 with Sense 5.5.
Phone said " There are no updates available for your phone " when you try it from phone settings.

looks like a carrier specific version, and your carrier probably hasn't released it yet... you'll have to check with them

Hmm... i bought it like Unlocked versions, its no any carrier logos on the phone and box.
Do you have any ideas what it may be ?
Anyway, HTC site said they update almost all versions:

nope, that's your bootloader screen
get this: http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23329332407585867
extract the files using WinRAR into a separate folder, open a command prompt in that folder, connect your phone, FASTBOOT will change to FASTBOOT USB, then in the command prompt type:
fastboot getvar all and post the results back (xxxxx'ing out your IMEI and s/n)
example:
Code:
C:\ADB>[B][COLOR="Blue"]fastboot getvar all[/COLOR][/B]

I think im doing something wrong...
I extracted 4 files, run CMD.exe in the folder, shut down the phone, connect him, chose FASTBOOT, then press UP button, it was changed to FASTBOOT USB, then i type "fastboot getvar all" in command prompt, and nothing happened, it said "waiting for device" and that is it.

that needs to be fixed as per previous FAQ#2 (it also applies to Win8), you could also uninstall drivers and reinstall and see if that helps.
there's also this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979

What ROM are you on?
In order to use a SIM Unlock code, you need to be on a "close-to-stock" ROM, you could use one of the Guru Resets.or restore a nandroid of your stock rom, and then use the code.

EDIT 2: BTW, when you post a fastboot getvar all, remove IMEI and s/n, we don't need to see these

I really don't think a SIM-locked phone would ship as HTC__001 (WWE unbranded version), you need to set the CID back to original; if you can't remember post the country & carrier the phone is locked to (not the one you are trying to get to now, the one the phone is locked to)

how about this: set back to SuperCID, and download CIDGetter from Play Store; when CIDGetter sees SuperCID, it will pull the original CID from a second partition.
EDIT: hopefully "original" CID

Sorry mate, "1-20-401-1" is no good either has hboot 1.43, and won't receive any OTAs; maybe it's a pre-release.
the one i linked before 1.28.401.7 should be fine.
I'm making a fool out of myself i guess. I was trying to send you the .29 for the 71k and couldn't manage to do it in 2 attempts looool.
You'll do good on the .28, you can update it via OTA, it's only 2 flashes away from .29
Please help me find the right RUU for HTC One

Sorry for that, I have two HTC One devices, I already got an RUU which you suggested for the device of cid number - HTC_001, now i am in need of an RUU for my another device of cid number - H3G_001 to unroot and relock it. Sorry for not mentioning that properly in advance. Thanks for your reply.

There is no RUU for H3G, you have two choices:
1- either change it to international unbranded
or
2- use my guide (CWM method), to restore to stock H3G: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2541082
(read it once or twice, to see if everything makes sense to you)

change CID to one of the following:
Code:
HTC__001 --> HTC-WWE
HTC__016 --> VODA-Africa-South
HTC__032 --> HTC-EastEurope
HTC__102 --> HTC-GER
HTC__203 --> HTC-FRA
HTC__304 --> HTC-SPA
HTC__405 --> HTC-ITA
HTC__A07 --> HTC-Russia
HTC__E11 --> HTC-Dutch
HTC__J15 --> HTC-GCC
HTC__Y13 --> HTC-Norway
my guess would be WWE (World Wide English) for you:
fastboot oem writecid HTC__001 <- two underscores
fastboot reboot-bootloader
then use this ruu.zip method in my guide using
RUU Zip M7_UL_JB_50_HTC_Europe_1.28.401.7

you can change back cid to match PN0711000 MID and run the 1.29.401.2 ruu.exe
compatible cid:
HTC__001
HTC__J15
HTC__A48
HTC__M27
or
Change MID to match CID HTC__032 and run the 1.28.401.7 ruu.exe
required MID: PN0710000
If you are noob at this then the first solution is easier
Code:
fastboot oem writecid HTC__001
fastboot reboot-bootloader
then run the ruu
if you have some knowledge then changing mid to PN0710000 and using the 1.28.401.7 is the best solution imo. why? because this version get ota pretty much faster then PN0711000
if you want to change MID you will need this tool. when in recovery, adb push it to your sdcard and then run it from recovery. then run the ruu.exe
feel free to ask if this is not clear.

Hi Guys,
I recently got my hands on a used M7 but noticed that it is still stuck in Andriod 4.1.2. I tried running the RUU but when I check for OTA updates it still says no updates available.
I also discovered that there is a label that says this is a test device, perhaps that stops the device from getting OTA updates?
Here is what I got from fastboot:
(bootloader) version: 0.5
(bootloader) version-bootloader: 1.43.0000
(bootloader) version-baseband: 4A.13.3231.20

In your post remove the imei and serialno.
You need to change your MID to PN0714000 and your CID to HTC__044 (eight characters). If you still do not receive OTA, here is a custom unsigned RUU 3.63.707.4 that you flash in bootloader. Or you could flash Guru_reset_m7_3-63-707-4-zip in TWRP.

majmoz, sorry to bug in, but i would recommend PN0710000 or PN0714000 because PN0711000 is the m7_u, and the OP has an m7_ul

I assume this is the tool that I should use to change the CID and MID?

Sounds like flashing the custom RUU is an easier choice to me. I shall try changing the CID and MID first.

not to jump nkk71 replies, but I just changed my phone to Dev edition last night in 30mins, it was very easy and got OTA's straight after booting.
Change cid to BS_US001 (always 8 characters)
Change MID to PN0712000 using this tool in a custom recovery: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2535365
download this firmware, put your phone into RUU mode and don't forget to flash it twice: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23329332407579901
download this RUU and run it with your phone in fastboot USB mode: http://www.htc1guru.com/dld/ruu_m7_..._10-38r-1157-04l_release_353887_signed_3-exe/

Kindly, remove your SERIAL NO AND IMEI from above post. Always do that when posting fastboot getvar all.
because somebody can lock your phone using this information.
Regarding your query,
AFAIK, you need revone to get S-OFF on HBOOT 1.44, Rumrunner for 1.54, Moonshine for 1.55 and 1.56, and Sunshine for 1.57.
This thread will help you achieve S_OFF using revone.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2314582
or you can use this guide
http://www.htc1guru.com/guides/get-s-off/
Press thanks if it helped.

After you achieve S-OFF, simply use RUU matching your phone to get back to stock.

the cm12 is still giving me a trouble. If I learned something from the web, I have partition table problems.
I should relock the oem and then flash the RUU, correct? after that root again?

if you're s-off, you no longer need to relock in order for ruu flashing: Not so FAQ #2 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=52135024&postcount=2
best to change your CID, for example:
Code:
fastboot oem writecid 11111111
fastboot reboot-bootloader
then you can flash any ruu you like
PS: version-main missing is due to a bug in 2.7 TWRP series, but hboot 1.44 would imply you're still on 1.xx firmware (very old)
PPS: cid is exactly 8 characters, no more, no less; SuperCID = 11111111 other international unbranded CIDs are:
Code:
HTC__001 --> HTC-WWE
HTC__016 --> VODA-Africa-South
HTC__032 --> HTC-EastEurope
HTC__102 --> HTC-GER
HTC__203 --> HTC-FRA
HTC__304 --> HTC-SPA
HTC__405 --> HTC-ITA
HTC__A07 --> HTC-Russia
HTC__E11 --> HTC-Dutch
HTC__J15 --> HTC-GCC
HTC__Y13 --> HTC-Norway
any idea why when I write cid 11111111 the command window and bootloader freezes?

cause you did some previous command? (like a getvar all)
unplug & replug the phone, then
Code:
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot oem writecid 11111111
fastboot reboot-bootloader
You're the man...done
If you weren't so far away I would buy you a beer
