Hello,
I was trying to update the phone to the jellybean software from gingerbread. Everything went well up until the actual flashing of the rom.
I have a custom recovery installed on it (CWM) and can access only that. When i try to turn on the phone, it just hangs on the samsung logo.
I dont know whether I flashed a kernel or not, but every rom i try it either throws an error code or it starts the reboot process while flashing and then just hangs on the samsung logo again!
I cant figure out what im doing wrong, I have the I9070P bought from Germany and I cant find the correct stock firmware or another firmware I could use to make my phone work again!!
I would REALLY REALLY REALLY appreciate some help with this
Hello,
Follow only step A of this guide
Download firmware from http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/ instead of that in the guide
Make sure that you download the correct version for your device (P or non-P). If you flash I9070 firmware on I9070P and vice versa, you will hardbrick your device!!

I need help with flashing stock firmware. Well, I flashed my device with some turkish firmware who had 4 files and I did that via Odin. When I realised that I have turkish firmware I downloaded stock version which consists only 1 file and tried to flash my device trough Odin (followed procedure for flashing with one file) and it wont work. All I get is endless reboot loop on my device. What should I do? Please help!

Try again with wipe data/chace and wipe dalvik cache(from advance from in CWM)
Reflesh your stock firmware.
I high recommend you to rewrite stock 2.3.4 XXXXKPI(European)or specific for you region.
Anyway more details in this thread from Sammobile
KPI version have 4 files but was by far best version for me that i've used.
Also be carefull to load corect packs for boot/csc/modem/phone:
http://fulga.u-s.ro/fotos/android/incarcare_rom_in_Odin.png
If you are european shall not care if it is Turkish or Russian, just change leanguage.
I want to reflash my phone because KIES wont upgrade stock firmware after I flashed with Odin. It says that "this device cannot upgrade over KIES". It's common problem and I heard that people were solving that with reverting original stock firmware for their country. I dont know exactly am I right but I wanna try. Thanx!
Its very buddy, you can search it on this forum. You can find it here.
Hi all
first, i'm not completely noob for rooting and flashing, but appears that for samsung i'm more than a noob.
so, here is the problem, i tried to root friends galaxy s and succeed it with UnlockRoot. Thaen i tried to flash CWM with THIS tutorial. Everything went as described, only i didn't read the first line of tutorial, that is for the phones with android 2.3 or higher, and this one had android 2.2 on it....
Now it won't boot, can't enter recovery, only in download mode....
I did some searching but i don't understand half of it. (if this was a HTC i would solve this)
Can someone tell me what to do? )
I guess you're on wrong cwm recovery file.Mine went like that too..Never knew it was for GingerBread but my phone were ICS,The phone wont boot. Then i did it it again with CWM for ICS and everything works again.Atleast your phone still can make it thru via download mode tho..
maybe you could try something from this and this and this one

If your phone is on 2.2 version, upgrade it to 2.36 version, by flashing a 2.36 Firmware for your location from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1102881 or flashing a rescue kit from My Android Collection ( link below) , after that Flash any of this on Odin as PDA for rooting and also have CWM at the same time.

I did and didnt find anything helpfull for my situation.
Also tried to root again but again its stuck on downloading... do not turn off target screen.
Boot to download mode and it says as it should Downloading do not turn off .
You are now supposed to flash the firmware via odin .
You should flash your stock firmware to get the phone working .
Then read the basic faqs and guides before you flash anything as its pointless flashing without reading the basics .
Or take it to a service centre .

Thanks for the reply ill consider doing that
but before i try that i managed to get into recovery mode does that mean i can try something or should i try the odin flash thing?

Clear data and cache then reboot you may not have to reflash the rom. if that doesnt work tha use odin to flash stock rom. good luck

Is there a way to know my version/pda since i have no idea what stock rom to download
Device model no. in recovery mode
Hi,
Sorry to ask a random question. I Have my device model no. as S3 I9305 when I go to download mode and in my phone settings I can see my device model as S3 I9305T. I have recently installed Australian official firmware(XSA version without any career bloatware) in my phone, which is the S3 I9305T. I found it weird to have two different model nos. in 2 different places. When I first bought this phone it was the Telstra version, which is S3 I9305T. After that I changed many firmwares and installed S3 I9305 version from optus and other country's S3 I9305 version as well. Could you please tell me why is that?? Is this because I once installed I9305 firmware once? If that's the reason, today I flashed I9305T official firmware again with Odin. Is there any way to reset the download mode as well?? Please reply. Thanks.

Not unless you know what it is or saved the original .
You can just pick a stock rom for your area/ network .
If you bothered to read the basics their would be no need for all this ratting about .
@JJEgan I need some help, Ive got device, with same problem (i9305)
the donwload mode (which it defult boots into) does not show any device infos (which normally shows on the upper left corner)
Ive tried flashing latest stock rom (4.3) it gives an error (NOT "error pit file partition" but error flashing. failed it does not go beyond sboot )

So you run odin in windows.
Boot your phone to download mode
Connect device and wait for confirmation of connection in odin.
And then you click pda and choose a stock firmware.
And click start.
@tissot Odin gives fail error as I stated before. Am going to try 3 part odin package ive downloaded,.
Hi all,
Yesterday I downgraded my Jellybean to Gingerbread firmware by using this tutorial: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2100642.
The downgrade was a succes, everything worked fine.
The final step of the tutorial siad: 'Note : You can flash Latest Update for your Country by Odin3 v3.07 ( Optional )'. So I searched for the stock firmware of my country and used Odin v3.07 to update. Now at this point the upgrade failed (NAND Write Start) and I get the 'yellow triangle' sign with the message: Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again.
I can't get in download or recovery mode.
Odin still connects to my phone.
My question is how can I get my Android back to work :s
Thanks in advance,

Is there a way so solve it? :s

Hi all,
I was able to successfully flash the downloaded stock JB firmware (I9070PXXLPE_I9070PDBTLPE) using Odin on I9070P version of samsung galaxy S advance. During the flash, auto restart didn't happened. So I tried removing the battery and put it on again to switch into download mode. This worked and even I witnessed PASS in Odin. Later when I tried to switch it off and reboot (home+power+volume+) in to recovery mode to do factory reset, I could only see the phone name appearing and stuck frozen. Or if go into download mode I can only repeat the flash to see the same happening. As I assume this is only a boot loop, please do let me know how I can get in to recovery mode. I had already went through the following similar threads but nothing worked:
Boot loop
No recovery mode
Can't switch on
My phone details:
Model number: GT-I9070P
Rooted: Yes
Tried to downgrade from cm11 to 4.1.2
Baseband version: I9070PXXLPE
Stock firmware download from : Link
Battery is just one month old
P.S: This is my first query in XDA although most of the times I was able to solve with XDA search. So.. sorry if I missed something. Let me know if any further info needed. Thank you!

if i correctly understood your problem, you have a I9070P phone with NFC.
first of all, did you use the correct firmware?? that is, an I9070P firmware? otherwise you will have this problem. therefore
you can find firmwares on http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=GT-I9070P
Thanks for the link. Yes, I'm using I9070P with NFC.
I'm sure it's I9070P firmware as you can find it in the firmware name I had mentioned (I9070PXXLPE_I9070PDBTLPE). From one of my past factory reset, I have a screenshot of my phone details and checked it already. Couldn't post the image file as I'm a new user here.
