Recently my m7s camera has been buggy. When taking a picture with the front or back facing camera the viewfinder doesn't update, it shows the first image from when the camera app was opened or when the cameras are switched. Videos work but there is a slight moment of a frozen image at the beginning of the video, another mention is before a video it says anther app is using the camera and is being terminated now, I don't know if this means I have a virus or if it is just a bug. I'm not rooted.
Any support would be appreciated.
When I use the front facing count down it takes a picture like normal I'm real time but the viewfinder doesn'tuupdate, it happens in every app that uses the camera so I'm not sure if it is hardware or software that's the problem.

erase cache/dalvik cache and see if the problem persist, if yes try a factory reset. If the issue still there after a factory reset its probably an hardware problem.

Today I was taking photos which worked fine. When I went to ZOE mode, it seemed like the shutter button was being ignored and the focus was changed to behind where the camera icon was. Zoe photos were not taken. I tried video mode, but that crashed the camera app after about 6seconds. I stopped the camera app manually several times, and just now have done a factory reset on the HTC One. Working again, but its a real pain if this happens again in the future. Has anyone heard of this issue?

Were you running any special roms with camera tweaks? I had that happen a few weeks ago with an older trickdroid rom but then I upgraded to the latest and it was fixed...
Stock std release Rom for Canadian Rogers HTC one.
hmm.. I guess not
So this is a weird issue..I wasn't able to find it anywhere. Hopefully I can explain it correctly. Anywho..when entering the camera app (or using the camera in general whether it be through snapchat or Instagram), the image appears frozen on the screen. Like it already took a picture and it just sticks...no movement. Interestingly enough if I move the phone around and take a picture of a different area, the picture shows up in the gallery correctly. It doesn't seem like a hardware issue. The camera still works, but I can't tell what I'm taking a picture of. I've tried restarting my phone, but I'm not sure what else to try. I have the AT&T version btw.
The camera works properly when taking a video btw.
EDIT: solved. I cleared the data and cache for the gallery. I have no idea why that worked, but it did.
I recently bought a a fairly used Z1 from a local dealer.
After a few days of use, I started noticing that the rear camera randomly gets blurry for distant shorts. Nevertheless, if you take close up shots i'ts fine. The front Camera is also fine.
At first I wondered if the issue was with the Background defocus app, I installed. I have removed it cleared the device and camera cache but the camera is still as it is.
Also some days the camera is fine with no issues as I've taken great photos with it.
I need help to sort out the issue if it's a hardware or software issue and if I can fix it or I should return it since I have a 3 months of guarantee.

it appears I can't post an image link to dropbox.
Thank you for your help in advance.
Check if my tutorial helps you
did you try to clean install latest stock rom?
clean install means to wipe everything and flash the stock rom
Try Google Camera. If it keeps getting blurry, it can be a physical problem.
Hi, when I'm using the stock camera software on my up-to-date, non-rooted A2, with the front facing camera, many times, it's impossible to click on the "taking a picture" button right after taking a picture, it's like frozen for half a minute or so.
It's very annoying since my gf is obsessive with taking different angles of the same photo, and it keeps us smiling like stupid for a long time without being able to take pictures...
Anyone else experiencing this issue?
Edit: I think that a viable workaround may be an app that can take high quality picture with the front camera, and is able to take a few pictures in a row (I downloaded some, but some of them shows me the picture after taking it, instead of going back to the camera screen, and some seems to lower the quality of the photos compare to the stock app).
Many thanks!

Hello Community,
I recently wanted to take a picture and my Camera App won't Start. I restarted my Phone and suddenly i face weird lines in every camera app. My Phone isn't rooted. What could it be? Hardware brick?
Thanks in advance!
Hmm wide-angle camera works flawless.. might it be the Hardware?
probably a hardware issue but try clearing camera app data if not hard reset to confirm that issue is related to hardware
