Install emmc brickbug checker from playstore and check if first four numbers are 9001. If they are, you can't s-off for now

I can but I must pay

[Q] Newly installed Rom from CyanogenMod 7.1.0

Hi Team,
I have recently installed custom rom made by CyanogenMod .... "update-cm-7.1.0-IncS-signed" as the recovery zip and "cm-7.2.0-vivo" stable rom which is actually gingerbread 2.3.7
My boot screen shows up these items -
VIVO PVT SHIP S-ON RL
HBOOT-2.02.0002
RADIO-3831.18.00.11_M
eMMC-boot
May 22 2012, 14:22:08
my recovery page shows clockworld recovery.
Now the problem is, my S-ON still exists and need to S-OFF (tried revolutionary.io but it is not working on already rooted phone)
Next, I need to install Jellybean on my phone, which I was unable to do with the nightly mode on cyanogenmod website, the only stable version was cm-7.2.0,
CM-10.1 did not work on this recovery mod.
Please help me out, I am a noob in this but willing to experiment.

actually thats better than getting OTA
just download a custom rom like ViperOne or ARHD or InsertCoin and
copy it to your downloads folder
reboot your phone and hold volume down and it will enter the bootloader. go into recovery from here and wipe/factory reset and install the rom you copied to the phone. 10x better than waiting on OTA update
Edit: When rebooting the phone you may have a menu with the choice of booting recovery ..choose that

[Q] HBOOT-1.56 0000!! need help!

Good Day!!
Last week my phone is running normal and fine(Just recieved 4.4kitkat), having absolutely no problems at all.. But since it is running on stock rom(not even rooted), There are certain apps that i can installed on its stock rom, because of my curiosity i decided to root my phone using TWRP recovery and flash android revolution hd, but i forgot to s-off my device, after all the troubles my phone is on bootloop stage! Aghhh!! So i decided to bring it to my friend now its running on:

Now my question is how can i downgrade it from HBOOT 1.56 to 1.44, Its real pain in the ass seeing or you cannot do anything to your phone.
Thanks!!
You can't downgrade without being s off. Firewater is the only one that works on 1.56. Give it a go. It wouldn't s off my firmware tho
Sent from my HTC One using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Sorry for my stupidity, Sir can you teach me how? coz i already tried almost everything
There is a pretty good guide in the one general forum for Firewater. Follow all those instructions see how u go then post some screenshots if it comes up with any errors

I'm just curious ...why do you think it's so necessary to have s-off ?
you don't need it to flash roms and you don't need it with your current firmware.
all you really can't do is flash old firmwares and RUU's but why would you care if your phone works fine ?

Well actually before im on stock unrooted my htc one m7 is running on 4.4kitkat i just recieved few days ago, but due to my curiosity, I decided to root my phone, I succesfully root my phone w/ twrp recovery installed, while browsing, i saw some cool custom roms like android revolution HD, etc.. etc.. so downloaded it and flash it to my phone, then thats my biggest mistake, i didnt Soff 1st my phone, it stuck on htc logo, so i decided to bring it to the techncian nearby, it now runs back on android 4.2.2, sense 5.0 , software number 2.24.709.1 , htc SDK API level 5.34 and on boot loader: M7_UL PVT SHIP S-ON RH

[Q] Bootloop after OTA Update

Hello guys,
I have a problem. A Friend made an OTA Update at his HTC One(M7) and it may installed not properly. So now the Phone has a Bootloop. Firmware, Rom, Recovery and all are Original. What can I do to make it work? To use warranty and send it in is only his last choice.

The first possibility that will not void the warranty is to flash the latest RUU which will (should) fix the phone and update it to the latest version at the same time. Flashing a RUU will wipe everything on the phone. The ruu you need is the 7.19.401.2 version. You can download it from this thread:http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one/general/lollipop-ruu-zip-small-collection-t3053944. You need to use the fastboot version mentioned in that thread.
2nd option is to send the device for repair if it still under warranty.
3rd option (will void the warranty) is to unlock the bootloader, flash a custom recovery, flash the 6.09.401.11 stock rom, reflash stock recovery and update.

M7 International ROM\Firmware installation help - love you long time

:highfive: :highfive: Hi Experts,
I am having real difficulty getting my phone up and running. I have M7 international, rooted \unlocked and uses custom recovery TWRP, which is really really good.
I have accidentally erased everything in my internal SD card and system including ROM and firmware.
I have attempted to successfully flash a new custom rom VIPERONE V8 using HTC One Toolkit 1.0.1 via sideloader. It won't work via any other methods.
It wouldn't boot the phone into operating system. It keeps looping back into recovery mode before and after the install. In other words nothing has changed.
Could the experts teach me what to do? I am confused when the term ROM, HBOOT and firmware is used.
Here is my bootloader information;

As you can see i'm missing the operating system OS................
I use to be on Android 4.4.2 and this refers to Firmware right?
I was also using Viperone V6.1.
I guess i need to know how to flash the newest firmware because i believe there's no operating system installed in my phone hence why it keeps booting into recovery mode when i turn on the phone...............
Step by step instruction specific to this please.
Much appreciated.
