Hello, I have a LG Flex G D958, i use the system 4g for 4 months normally ... and suddenly the signal became only edge (2g), other 4g chips placed on it are also edge. Already formatted (system format) and keeps edge, 2g / 3g / 4g automatic option is selected, someone has gone through such a problem?
May I ask ?
I got an ATT LG G FLEX, and it is unlocked now, and now I try to enable mobile data, nothing showing up.

In my case i got only in 2g .... and after format still in edge. (using 4.4.2 stock firmware)
My case is :
I got the att lg g flex 950, and I unlocked it by unlockunit, after that I tried to enable mobile network, and the icon on the notification bar doenst show up or do anything? Anyone have any idea? I on T-Mobile now,thanks

Hey buddy, I just do the APN reset + delete any exist. So I'm on T-mobile - I just did APN setting - and its work fine for me now. Depend on which network/provider you are, google search for itself APN setting, it might work !
Its happended when you do the factory reset - all the APN profile just all gone I think ...

I have T-mobile g flex but in my provider we dont have 4G network yet. when I connecting to network the icon of 4G appears. in the network settings I have marked gsm+wcdma. In my othed phone (LG G2) it conects with "H+" icon. how can I bring back the H+?
4g is h+ icon. No other one unless you mod. 4g lte is obvious lte

There was a mod for the Note 2 that gave accurate data signals. I haven't checked if it will work for us because honestly I've been kind of waiting for Kit Kat before I started working to much on a ROM, but if I get a chance I'll take a look and maybe just make it for JB until the update arrives. I'm with you I hate being lied to and told everything is 4G by T-Mobile.
like my phone can just sit on 3G, in the same place,while not moving
but if i reboot my phone, it'll pop on to LTE (if its available in that area)
but i reboot it in known LTE areas (when showing 3G)
anyway to force LTE, without rebooting the phone?
or is there some time schedule where it checks to see if LTE is available that I can change?

I don't have the Sprint version so I don't know if this works but you can try https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bSrtUw8D9_w as this method worked for the very similar LG G2 for Sprint.

Hahaha you're absolutely right. I knew just by reading the thread. Sprint is the worst! My HTC One on Sprint was amazing but I couldn't ever hold on to an LTE connection for more then 30 seconds. Unlimited data is useless if your only on their horribly slow 3g
Sprint does suck, if i didnt have 4 other people on my account that would have to get new phones/account etc, I would have been switched.
but that video i think was to turn on LTE, my LTE is on, but for some reason wouldnt search/connect to LTE when it was available all the time
however i went into my mobile connection settings, and changed it from "LTE/CDMA" to Global
now it seems to switch to LTE when its in an LTE area. LTE icon comes up without me having to reboot, i'll keep a watch on it for a few days to see if indeed that was the solution
by the way, anybody now what the "global" option is? compared to LTE/CDMA

I'm pretty sure the global setting is to allow it to connect to GSM carriers in the event that the device is unlocked and the APN is changed accordingly.
I have the same problem in brazil, looks like a problem with the Phone. I had a Samsung S4 that worked with full signal in 4G in my home, now that I moved to LG G Flex it also works full signal 4G in home, but when I move to some place where is Edge then go Back to home, it never moves back to LTE automatically. I need to restart or change the NetworkMode manually to make it back working in 4G.
I think the phone has a problem to automatic search and change the Network mode.
anyone know how to enable only lte yet? i've tried all different kinds of secret menu codes and cant figure it out.

How to access the hidden service menu on LG G Flex:
For AT&T: Go to dialer and enter 3845#*950#
For T-Mobile: Go to dialer and enter 3845#*959#
For Sprint: Go to dialer and enter 3845#*995#
Once you're in the hidden menu, go to LTE-Only > Modem Settings > RAT Selection > LTE only

For a few days I was getting 4G (but not LTE) when using my unlocked and rooted T-Mobile Note 4 with AT&T. But now the only data connection I am getting is Edge. Ugh.
Is anyone else experiencing this?

APN Settings are correct. But I figured out the problem while verifying that!
Settings > More networks > Mobile networks > Network mode was set to "GSM only" I changed it to "LTE/WCDMA/GSM" and everything (including LTE) is working fine now.
Dunno how that setting got changed but I'm glad I found it and got it fixed. Hopefully this can help someone with a similar problem.
Hey guys so just out of the blue I'm unable to connect to a cellular network
I can connect to wifi Bluetooth and at times I get a few bars (emergency calls only) but I don't get data I can't make calls or messages
Can anybody help me out here its the T Mobile LG G flex its unlocked for Metro I called Metro and they were unable to troubleshoot I tried a factory reset twice but still get nothing
I lost root awhile back after a factory reset ... I'm on 4.4.2

Check your APN Settings
Also try diff, APN for your PROVIDER
If you have a IMEI # GREAT
But it sounds to me like you lost your MODEM and in that case u'll need to hunt down C O R R E C T MODEM & Flash
Is this a LGD950 AT&T Model if so your in luck i just got done with a EFS ISSUE and have most everything still (files) still laying around
Dial *#*#3646#*#* that will show you all your cell settings. Select first option and you'll see everything .

I didn't used 3G on this phone for almost a year after buying it.. few months back i tried to use 3G services on it, i installed network settings provided by my service provider and my area had 3G coverage but network type remained as EDGE.. i didn't bothered it at that time..
last week i rooted this phone (unlocked boot loader etc) because i had some battery drainage issues. I Finally made my mind to use 3G services. I installed network settings for 3G. Checked preferred network type as 3G but still i ended up on EDGE. I am not getting H or H+ sign instead i only see e sign with signal bars.. i know its not an issue of 3G coverage because at same place i put the same sim card in moto g 1st gen and it instantly showed H sign..
Also in About phone>> Status>> Cellular Network Type is showing EDGE.
I checked APN settings it was OK..
My baseband version is : MSM8626BP_1032.3112.97.00R RETYSA_AWS_CUST
System Version is : 22.46.12.titan_retuaws.retuaws.en.US.retus
Kindly help me out if this a baseband version issue or something else.. any possible solution for it?

Network settings are perhaps for APN's .. but i guess its not an issue because i have factory restored my set many times APNs are set automatically if i turn on data usage

TRY reinstalling stock firmware from my signature make sure you pick AWS for xt1064

Are you located in Pakistan? Being that the XT1064 is a US/Canadian model, I didn't think you'd be able to get 3G there, only Edge.
