I shut down my tablet before going to sleep. I didn't used it for 3 days and i had to charge it today because it was at 0% battery. This never happened before 4.4.2 so it's obviously not an hardware issue. Am i the only one having this issue? Did you solved it?

I'm having major battery issues with my X1.
it's always auto shut down all of the sudden although my battery was 70%
Then when I turn my phone back on.. it became low battery (less than or just 10%)
Is this related to my battery? or the phone itself?
Heard a friend having the same problema with a HTC after installing a new ROM.
Maybe it's soft related.
that problem WILL persist even if I changed so many roms? I just don't understand why.. Need to fix this ASAP.. it annoys me by running out of battery everytime =.="
I suggest you flash back your stock rom to exclude a software issue. If the problem persists I would say you have got a defective battery.
I suggest it's the battery. Had similar problem with aftermarket battery off eBay. Used it for 2 weeks, then it suddenly shut off and no sign of life whatsoever from my X, got the charger plugged in - nothing, no side lights, no startup. Flicked another battery in to make sure my X is functioning. Then got the battery that caused problem back in to see what's happening. Well, it was at 35%, started charging again and behaved like nothing happened.

yeah that's what happened to my phone..
Ahh... Guess I really need to change my battery already.. Thanks for the info. Helped a lot..
I was playing with my tablet last night with what I thought was 60% battery left when it suddenly turned off. I thought at first it will reboot but no it didn't, not even if I press the power button to start it up. It was only after connecting it to the charger that it finally powered up. It was a surprise that the battery showed it is at 0%. I charged it to full and then disconnected it.
Now the problem is that it is stuck at 100%, both in the status bar display and when checking in the settings and then battery. Any insight to this issue?
Stock, rooted but not unlocked.
UPDATE: After reading around with posts of the problem similar to mine, I tried a suggestion of turning the tablet completely off for at least an hour. Others did so overnight. I chose to power it off for an hour and now it is already discharging. Maybe this is a bug or a hardware fault, no one can tell for sure.

It's a bug in the battery calibration software. We've seen it on the TF700 and TF300 and now it appears you haver the same thing on your TF701.
Usually a full discharge and full charge fixes it.
Hi,
I'm running an htc one m7 with "android revolution hd" rom version 4.x.
For some reason lately, just started a dew days ago; the phone is stuck at 23% while on charge.
I powered the device off last night and stuck it on charge, i monitored for a while and saw it go up to 30%. Today when i checked it, it was down to 23% again with phone off??
What's going on?
When i power it up it claims the device is using too much power to charge... I'm charging it the same way for ages without any issue; what could have happened, is the battery destroyed I wonder?
Thanks for any help.

I think that this is something wrong with ROM. Have you tried to charge your phone when it's turned off?

I did try to charge while off.... the phone went from 30% to 23% in a hurry!
Just updated to Android Revolution HD 4.4.3 and now seems to have charged.
Hopefully this will be ok now but I'm still not a 100% if it is "fixed"....
if you're not sure and the problem will come back, the best solution is flashing RUU for your CID.
My thoughts that it was a bug are probably right as its fully charged now and hasn't heated up like before.
We'll see though it's still early days yet.
Thanks for the suggestions in the meantime

Nexus 6 works for a few minutes then shuts off unless it is plugged. This is crazy. Has anyone heard of such a thing? Phone was working perfectly for 2 months until a few days ago.

You mean it's happening for battery or it just force shutdown? If force shutdown then it's a common bug. Or else, it's different issue
Screen just goes black and it's off. Then when I turn it back on it usually makes it to the lock screen and shuts off again

Does it do this regardless of the charge level? Like it does it even at 100%?
I encountered this with my Nexus 6 last week. Whenever it was below 70% battery the phone would just shut off. Sometimes I could boot back up and use for a little while but soon it'd shut off again. On other occasions it would just think that it doesn't have enough battery to power on at all despite knowing full well it has at least 69%.
Same thing with you, when on AC power it worked fine.
I tried a few things to fix it, factory reset, alternative kernel, re-encrypt + factory reset. None of the above fixed it so I sent it back to Motorola. I'm expecting it back on Monday!
reddit and other android forums have similar posts about "randomly shutting off" so it seems we're not alone.

i would try clearing the cache of it first and if that does not work flash the factory images you can keep you data by only flashing system then if it still does not work flash all the imgs for data and cache ect if that does not work RMA time. nexus factory images are here:https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images

I just started having the same problem today. Battery is fully charged, then goes to 0 instantly. Wont power up unless you plug it in. Seems to do it more when watching embedded youtube videos in chrome browser.
Phone turns off when not plugged in

I have this same issue, I've tried all the "fixes" and different roms/kernals. I don't think this is the same battery issue others have reported. This happens whether I am at 100% battery or 5% and even if I plug it in, start nexus 6 up, unplug it after it's been running./charged for a while, after 30 seconds or so it will just go black and be powered off. It's the same effect if you pulled the power, since its not even going through the standard shutting down procedures like it normally would if it was just low battery.
If anyone has a fix, please let us know! I'm currently deployed so I can't even RMA the thing, had my wife send out my Nexus 5, so I'll switch to that until I get back to the states.

RMA. Probably related to the battery issues.
Had this exact issues on my nexus 4. Turned out the battery was swollen and damaged. I was told NOT to use it on charge as it could possible blow/leak and get a new one. Like a fool I brought a cheap but supposedly a real replacement but it lasted 2 charging cycles before stopping holding any charge I put in. By this time it had been opened up more times than a crack head whore so I bit the bullet and brought/upgraded to a nexus 6. What a Great phone. but..... Yeah, likely battery issue. FYI I got signal loss moments before it died

Power off your phone.Press and hold the Power and Volume Down buttons. This will put the phone in fastboot.Use the Volume buttons to scroll through the menu until you see "Bootloader logs"Press and hold the power key for a long time (7+ seconds) until the phone reboots.
Hi all,
My Nexus 6 GPE has been powering off after about 2 hours or so being disconnected from the charger every morning. The phone has 70% of power (going off of this last time it has happened, usually it is around 50/60%) and it goes into battery saver mode and says it is powering down. When I try and restart. sometimes it goes and instantly shuts down, other times it shows the battery is completely dead (ie the empty phone icon), with this last time I was able to get into recovery and stay on and the bootloader and in recovery it says I have 60% battery left.
This all started when I flashed the latest software (LMY47E) and the latest bootloader/radios. I used Nexus Toolkit to Factory Restore it and it is still doing the same thing, sometimes it doesn't even give warning before shutting off. Has anyone come across this before? Do you think it is software or hardware related?
Thanks for your help
Did you try this?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6/help/dying-17-battery-t3062050
I did try that, it seemed to work but then turned off again. I did it about 3 more times, so far it hasn't shut off again, it was around 52% when I did it last and it came back up as 27% so I am hopeful that worked.
Has anyone else experienced issues because Qi charging? I have almost exclusively always charged this with a Qi Wireless Charger.
I have been having the same issue. Just did the "fix" from the other thread and before reboot it read 98%, after boot it says 77%. Crossing fingers.
UPDATE:
Nope, didn't work. After it went to 50%, it shut down and won't start on it's own unless it is plugged in. I'm back to step one.

That sucks. It seemed to work for me. Phone drained to 5% and automatically shut down. Charged it to full without booting, so if it still behaves, it fixed me.

Dacian like i just wrote in the other thread:
The "fix" i posted plus no more charging with Qi chargers worked for me.
I tried that, didn't use Qi charging to get it back to 100% and it still shut off. Can you use Qi charging again? I didn't spend $700 on my Nexus 6 so I couldn't use all of the features. I own 4 Qi chargers so that I didn't have to plug in my phone at all unless I was doing something through ADB.

No more Qi charging since I tried the mentioned workaround and no more problems with my N6 shutting down too early.
But I agree: not a solution if you use Qi stations a lot.
I think I'll just warranty it and if there comes a time where this starts happening again, hopefully there'll be a fix from google for it or something. Thank you for your help.
You're welcome. Good luck and keep us posted!
my phone was doing the same exact thing...first started off shutdown at 20 then 40 now 70! phoned motorola for a replacement : "sorry we cannot send replacements but we can fix it"...WTF?!?! a phone like this?! why the F would i want a repared faulty phone?!? Motorola never again never...
I have the same problem (now shutting down at 65%), i already call google for replacement but untill now i never had confirmation
I have the same problem. Nexus 6 shuts down. Displays blank white battery. Cannot be turned on without plugging into power source. Upon powering up it shows plenty of power.
Possible helpful info:
1. Recently manually updated to 5.1
2. Recently started using Qi charging
I did not notice a problem until both of those -- of the two my suspicion is the wireless charging but it's a total guess
I've tried all the suggested fixes and none worked.
