For starters, Welcome to XDA-Developers.
I hate starting out this way and I understand that you're in panic mode now that your device isn't working correctly. I also realize you are a new member here at XDA_Developers. However, creating two threads, the other one here, on the same subject is against the rules. Especially when the threads are only an hour apart.
There are no paid staff here at XDA-Developers to answer your questions. We are all volunteers. You must give people more time to answer your questions. With that said, @gdjindal was kind enough to answer your question, in both of your threads.

Actually I didn't noticed this........

SGS only boots in to Recovery

I tried to upgrade to a new Mintberry MIUI ROM and my phone got stuck in a bootloop. After flashing a .pit and the EZ GB bootloaders via Odin, then a Galnet MIUI Chameleon ROM, my phone still will not start properly - it keeps booting into Recovery Mode only (I can get in to Download mode if necc), and that's it. Does anyone have any ideas what I can do to resolve this? When trying to restore a previous backup I just get an error message about a bad checksum and this fails as well.
Starting to fear the worst!
I have a NEO kernel.zip and a couple of MIUI.zip ROMS on the sdcard, but whatever I try I can only get the phone to boot into Recovery.

Flash it with Odin. Something must have went wrong somewhere.

For stock rom

First of all, I just suggested that.
Second of all, why would you link to another site for guides on how to flash custom ROMs? This is XDA Developers. There are more than enough tutorials here. The OP just needs to utilize that new search feature they implemented just yesterday.

Phone not booting into clockworkmod?

Hello all.
I'm trying to update my phone (a rooted Samsung Galaxy S - GTi9000), to Cyanogenmod Nightly build. I have Mobile Odin and Rom Manager installed. And have downloaded the latest Cyanogenmod Nightly.
I have read some tutorials, but I seem to be stuck on two parts:
1) When I try to get into the clockworkmod boot recovery, it doesn't work and boots into the android recovery instead.
2) In mobile odin, when I find my file and load it, it doesn't load anything in the main list that says "kernel, system, dbdata", etc. It just says "none" in all of them.
From looking at some youtube vids at least some of them should load...right?
Now, I may well be doing something simple wrong (hopefully!), but I'm fairly new to all this and its kinda getting to me. Plus, trying to get my head around all the jargon is a bit of a challenge!
If someone would kindly take the time and patience to kindly guide me in the right direction, I would be very, very appreciative!
Also, because of these problems, I haven't tried flashing any roms yet for fear of bricking...
why you dont take cwm via 3 button combo?
there you can add zip and let it install.
Did you read any tutorial? I read about 5h and then i flashed it with problems and i knew what to do. Such questions should be answered in good ones.
Yes, I have tried the 3 button combo. But when I press them it takes me to the stock android boot recovery and not the CWM recovery.
I have Rom Manager installed, shouldn't this give me CWM recovery, or am I going about this wrong?

Flash a semaphore GB kernel to solve your problem from My Android Collections
Got it sorted guys.
Thankfully it was a simple fix. I removed the battery briefly earlier, but nothing happened. Took it out for a good 30-40 seconds and it finally booted into CWM Recovery!
I'm now on ICS.
Thanks a million for trying to help me.
The learning curve is beginning to flatten out!

Try To reFlash
I Think that it would be best to flash the 3 odin files on again

[Q] Need urgent help !!! Unbrick, Kernel, Recovery

Hello friends,
I need urgent help !!!
Yesterday one of my very close friend gave me his Note to upgrade to JB (he was on ICS. LF4 if I remember correct)
So I did following :
1. Downloaded couple of Custom ROMs and PhilZ 6.26.6 on to his phone (External SD)
2. Tried to boot into Recovery and voila.....his HOME button is not working. Anyways I booted and adb reboot recovery
3. Then I flashed PhilZ and it flashed successfully. Since I couldn't boot into Recovery without Home button I did Reboot System.
4. Stuck in N7000 Blackscreen and adb shows Device Offline
What I am planning to do now
1. Put device to DOWNLOAD mode through USB JIG
2. Flash Stock JB (Here's 2nd problem - download links are not working for Stock JB at least not Indian one Can somebody with fast internet plz upload it on dev host or Mediafire and share with us. Thanks !!! )
3. Reboot into Recovery and flash PhilZ
4. Flash Custom ROM
Am I doing things right? Is my direction correct?
I would still prefer if I somehow could boot in current OS, put some Custom Recovery and flash Custom ROM. Saving Stock ROM flash path and ODIN.
Plz help and advise !!!!!
Thanks !!!
You installed a kernel that doesn't fit to ICS. So it's no suprise the system doesn't boot. Install an ICS kernel and at least the system should start again.
And after that: give it back to your friend and let him repair the home button first. Don't risk being the fool who ruined his device.
Update: just read again and saw that right now you don't get a connect with adb. So yes, it seems to be the only solution to install an stock rom with Odin. After that I still would give it back for repair.

Can you give me link for safe ICS kernel ? Will this work http://www.mediafire.com/download/32ik5mg6bgg8q1d/PhilZ-cwm6-XXLRK-XEU-3.99.tar.md5
I need to boot in the current OS once to take backup of EFS (I heard JB wiped off EFS of few).
Thanks for coming forward to help !!!
Yes this is an ICS kernel with Philz recovery. Should work and give you the chance to reboot into the OS.
And a backup of EFS is a very good idea (after a repair in Thailand I'm using a developer imei).
Good luck.

Need help asap please

I had a twrp recovery v2.8.0.3 and i downloaded a custom rom for my htc one m7(Dual sim) . Before flashing custom rom i thought to update the twrp to newer version so i flashed twrp v3.0.1 with flashify . After that i made back up of my current rom and tried to flash new rom which was failed.
My problem is that every time my phone boots into recovery and when i click on boot to recovery , the phone boots to previous version of recovery so it means the previous twrp recovery is till there and i cant restart my phone again to normal.
Is my phone soft brick ? If anyone knows the solution then please guide me. Any help will be appreciated.
P.s :- Im new here
Did you dirty flash? Always install a new Custom ROM that is different via clean flashing. Sometimes when the phone stops responding for a bit while loading I send a quick screenshot to make it work again. Doesn't seem like a softbrick in my eyes.

Do you know the solution of my problem?

Need help to root.

Hi, this is my first post, sorry for my english is not my native language. OK, let's put my problem up now, i'am trying to root for some personal uses and for knowleged, but the ROM i chose to root is giveing my some headaches, i'am using Pixel Experience (i wanted the extended but it won't download in my pc) and everytime i try to install with TWRP it's got stuck on a bootloop, i tried to use the bootloop fix from the TWRP but it did not work so i discover that i need to factory reset, in the recovery mode from the ROM, to get this thing going but this bring the problem that the TWRP don't recognize the memory of my phone (looks like it got encrypted again ¬¬) so this is my problem. Someone knows how to solve it ? I'am using the version 3.0.1 from the TWRP, yes i know there is a more updated version but everytime i install the ROM it got the TWRP deleted to put up the ROM Recovery, so i got to use a version to boot it up form my pc. I really want to know how to root and i searched the web for far to long and i'm very confused too. Thanks for any help.

For Android 11 custom ROMs, you will need to use TWRP 3.4 by Nebrassy which installs Magisk wonderfully. You can get the img file here https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=8889791610682947337 .
With that img downloaded, boot to it by using fastboot, then tap on "Advanced" button, "Install Recovery Ramdisk", then select the img again to install it definitely. This will overwrite the original ROM TWRP (and vice-versa).
If you don't understand any specific part of my reply, feel free to point it out.
