all there is, is this: http://www.htc1guru.com/dld/guru_reset_m7_2-24-73-1-zip/
but you will have to be s-off and downgrade your HBOOT to use it, just flash it in a custom recovery like you would with a custom rom.
In its current state it would work, but because of your higher HBOOT version, OTA's would cause a bootloop which is why you have to downgrade it first.
Okay thanks I will try this and let you know how it goes, thanks again.

Hi,
A few months ago i installed the leaked 4.2.2 rom version that was provide on xda
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2224752 odexed
Now the OTA has arrived for the HTC One, i would like to head back to the clean stock htc rom sow i will be able to receive normal ota's provided by HTC.
I try to do this by installing an older RUU but get stuck at an error due to the bootloader version.
Can somebody tell me how i can downgrade to the stock rom?
Thx!
Without s-off you can't. But if you are s-off flash the 1.44 hboot in sneakyghosts. Thread about getting rid of red txt on boot screen

If you have not used the firmware.zip you should just need to install an older wwe stock , lock and, login and let the phone upgrade .

Hi Guys,
I rooted my HTC One previously but I wanted to update my phones android software so I can't much remember what I did, but
I tried to unroot it to get back to stock but I don't think I did this successfully.
My HTC One android version is 4.2.2
HTC Sense version is 5.0
am i right in thinking there are more up to date versions on the three UK network for my HTC ONE? But every time
i click check for software updates on my phone there aren't any that appear??
I'm really new to this, thank god i didn't brick my phone when i first rooted it, if i could i'd love to get
back to stock but I tried with no success, i really want to have an updated phone without having to
mess around with it anymore.
I believe i have attached an image more more information such as my baseband and kernel version.
could someone please give me step by step instructions on how to go back to stock so i can receive
updates without these issues. Thanks in advance guys
Kind regards

If I was you I would look to s-off your device, that way you can always have the latest rom version from XDA you can sometimes wait a long time for Networks to release the latest version to update over the air.
There are some very nice stock roms out there but if you don't wait to take the risk you need to unroot, restore stock recovery and relock your device I believe.
If you had made a nandroid backup before rooting you could have restored to the nandroid stock rom and simply restored the recovery and relocked.
Hi guys.
If anyone could help, I need a nandroid backup of Vodafone UK KitKat please, preferably a TWRP backup, I had a problem last night with my phone and they only way I could get it working again was to flash the Guru-Reset rom 2.24, this has left me stuck with 4.2.2 and sense 5, I am also stuck with s-on, however my HBOOT is still 1.56 and my OS version is 4.19.401.11, but no OTA software updates available apparently, just keeps saying im running the latest version, I guess this is down to the OS version as it didnt back flash.
Thanks in advance.

version 1.2.401.1 doesn't exist. If you mean 1.20.401.1 then you'll never receive ota on this version, you must use 1.28.401.7
post the output of "fastboot getvar all" except IMEI/SN
I solved the problem after 10 hours reading and googling.
My phone is AT&T unlocked.
First I changed CID and MID to WWE (401)
Restored the stock recovery for 1.29.401.16 and locked the bootloader - this step I missed first few times.
After that I flashed the RUU and I received the updates without any problem. Pretty easy if you have experience. However xda forums is amazing resource - I wouldnt make it without guides here... Big thank you to all who post their solutions and guides!

1. I have Android 4.4.4 On my Sprint HTC One M8 and my wifi is broke because I didn't update the firmware. My device will not take the firewater method to S-OFF and I am not going to spend 25$ on Sunshine. I was wondering If i could update my firmware while still S-ON or If someone could tell me how to Get my device back to Android 4.4.2 so my wifi works again. I have no stock backup because I had them all saved on my computer which decided to take a dump and stop working. CID is SPCS_001. I would be happy to just get a complete stock Recovery and not worry about the whole root process but I can not find one to Flash. I have TWRP Installed and was hoping someone could help me find a recovery that will take me back to 4.4.2 Please, All Help is GREATLY appreciated.
2. I have tried using Firewater to S-OFF my Sprint HTC One M8, I get all the way down but Before it finishes it reads an error saying something about the golden rule never use OTA or something and it goes on to Say device has been patched by HTC. What can I do to fix this?
3. I am stuck. I am searching for a Sprint Branded HTC One M8 Recovery I can download and flash through TWRP. I get an error every time i try firewater to get s-off so i am stuck s-on. I was thinking i could just download a recovery and flash it thorough twrp back to Android 4.4.2 Please help i can't use 4.4.4. because i can't update my firmware.

Hi Tim,
The only way to downgrade is if you are s-off.
You can update your firmware while s-on...you have to re-lock your bootloader.
Please post all your questions in THIS thread as I'm going to close the others.

Will waterfire work on my phone??? My phone keeps sending me a notification to update and I don't want to see or accidentally update it and brick it because I am already rooted. I just wanted to flash a new Rom (CM11 to be exact).

You could just cough up the $25 like a lot of other people have had to do.
