[MOD] softkeys like nexus and more

Hi Guys...
Before flash you need root and CWM or TWIN recovery...
This mod will change your xperia softekeys with android stock softkeys or motorola droid sk...
if there is any req for different softkeys i can make it and share here..
If you don't like NP! here you could find the sony xperia original softkeys too.
For this mod i must to thanks Ticklefish and his TMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can find it after decimpile systemUi AMD you find it in res/layout..

Xperia V background

Hello, my Xperia V's just rolled to Android 4.3 and I'm not really happy with this update!
The main problem's the white background in tool menu, really annoying!
I'd like to have it black like it was in Android 4.1.2 but I'm not into modding or apk and so I can't do it alone
Consider that my phone's unrooted...

There is no easy way to root for you at this time. We just have to be patient.

Yes, that idea's good and I've already tried that.
Unfortunately I didn't find a black background working theme...
I'll try to make my own theme even if it's quite hard for me (never made one before!)

I think push the files to system/app nd set permissions will work.
So U must need to acess the root

This has something to do with frameworks. I had been theming my phone since 4.1 and that wat not a problem but when honami came out the background for tools menu has something to do with frameworks. You'll need to have someone create a theme for you that would change the .png for that.

as ur device is not rooted, do me a favor ?
download this dual recovery installer for windows and install it in ur 4.3 stock rom

if the recovery is successfully installed, flash the SU zip and check if ur device is rooted or not.
i cant find my free time to test my own. try it n let us know if 4.3 will be rooted with locked BL

This has not been perfected yet since the text are still gray.
This is originally steveboss Theme. All credits goes to him.
What I did was to change the .png.
Here is the link:

How to add it:
1. Download the theme.
2. If your using this ROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2651397).
Please do the following:
- Open root explorer
- go to system/app
- look for the same name of the theme and rename it.
- paste the downloaded theme and set permission.
- Delete the original theme that you renamed.
- Reboot device and go to themes and select the theme.
3. If your using the stock rooted 4.3 ROM
Please do the following:
- Open root explorer
- go to system/app
- paste the downloaded theme and set permission.
- Reboot device and go to themes and select the theme.

No, it is only included in z1 (not sure about z)
So,u have to get a modified settings.apk to get that option..or modify by urself

[Q] Dialer Missing

i need help with my xperia SP.
my dialer shortcut gone missing.
also not found in app drawer.
i also try other launcher. but dialer wont work.
click it but nothing happen.

Have u apply mod into ur phone try repairing ur phone or download classic rotary dialer from Google play

Did you try to replace your dialer with some other ported one etc? Or flashed some theme?
If in emergency you can install an app like contact plus or any other dialer app from app store.

nothing just root. magically disappear.

Go to settings > Apps > all and look for phone app. And delete data...After this reboot..

That's not the point PCC will restore your dialer but you will lose root in the process so you will need to reroot the device

1.If you are on 4.1.2, go to settings>apps>all apps and see for contacts in the list maybe it is disabled
If you are on 4.3, go to settings>apps>disabled and see there
2. Try clearing data of XperiaHome
3. If you are using xposed modules, maybe you have hidden that app from home
4. Check your system/app directory and see if the apk is present there

If nothing else is working I can't see any other way. Take a titanium backup before you do and it will restore all apps and settings

Try with this: open settings/apps/all, find settings, open it and clear cache. Reboot your phone and try again. :good:

So you should do factory reset
Xperia™ Z (C6602) with Tapatalk

Don't know why it should be because the kernel but you can try to replace your settings.apk with an other one(you might did something wrong and it's now damaged..).
