At each boot it's the first entry in my logcat and it's an error.
Anyone knows what it means ?
Googling it I can found some posted logcat with this error but no explanation.
Thx.
[edit] message located in libta.so
so I imagine it's related to the Trim Area partition ?
Mine is here as I have a LBL.
Is it ok if you post the logcat here thanks

Are you using cyanogenmod? That error if my Memory serves me well is a bug for cm roms. I guess it has smtgh to do with the kernel or gsm networking

No, I'm running a 207 stock firmware that may be too much debloated. Or it's because it's a carrier firmware and I made a mistake deleting this carrier related stuff.
I'm facing a random (rare) baseband unknown after a reboot. When it occurs I reboot one more time and it's back.
It's the reason I'm trying to understand the error messages in dmesg and logcat. Nothing obvious written in there....
The answer to all your problems has already been posted in one of your previous threads...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-sp/help/random-baseband-unknown-t2853930
If you debloat without knowing what you're doing, you'll eventually come across issues...

Yeah, I was just trying to locate the problem. I just gave up and flashed 207_AU generic.
Will see if an unknown baseband appears later, for now no.
Thank you guys for your help.
Well, on an other xperia sp which is pure stock 205 with only root and recoveries, there is the same first entry in locat ...
so it's a common error on stock or it's related to root or recoveries install.

Suppose this is for unlocked bootloader only?

Yeah.. no way to root without having an unlocked bootloader for the time being
this ain't working.. no superuser; no root!
The binaries are present, download the Super user app, if you have wiped while flashing the ftf file.

Sorry but my Xperia Arc won't boot after flashing this.
So I flashed the stock ROM with Flashtool, and I applied root later via recovery.

IF YOU EXPLAIN HOW TO "DO IT RIGHT" IN THE OP THEN PERHAPS PEOPLE WONT POST SUCH THINGS IN YOUR THREAD.
The first post does not explain the issue of the "missing" superuser which may confuse some people.
Please update the op to include detailed instructions.
Please also refrain from posting requests in the Dev section and then creating a new thread for the files once you have them.

It's not my problem at all.....
If he's going to post files then he has to at least make sure people are aware of the issues they may experience when attempting to use them.
MY problem is keeping these forums tidy and organised....
The reason for my post is that even once the issue was raised the OP made no attempt to enlighten anyone as to why or help them. That is not what XDA is about.

i'm kinda confused here, anyone can help me? how to flash an img file? or do i need to rename the file to ftf?
Wasn't aware that so many otglher people were having this problem until I did some Googling today. Pretty much all the topics that came up are months old and said the problem was fixed with an update from HTC. Was this fix not implemented in aosp roms or something because I'm on my second unit and am still having the issue.

Just to help you troubleshoot your problem, are you sure the issue is not related to your specific configuration? I'm on ARHD 22.1 (4.3) with stock kernel and don't have this issue and actually never had it on any 4.3 build.

Have you tried *#*#3423#*#* (ie DIAG), and then run the "Button test", it will only test Volume Keys and the BACK button, but that might be enough to see if there's any feedback there.

Hello.
I don't know where to post this so please forgive me if this is the wrong section.
I am trying to use a script http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2359182 to turn on ram swap via swapfile but I am getting some errors. I have attached screenshots of those errors.
By doing some research i have found out that my busybox version does not support some functions essential for the script to work.I have also attached a screenshot that enlists those functions.
Long story short, I want to know which version of busybox does support the functions that I need.
Help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

And does your device support it? (Dunno what your device it actually?)
Also you could try to use a lower version. I believe there are some older versions here on XDA-Devs

I've got the SP (C5303).
But the problem is not device specific.
and yes I have checked for compatibility and it is indeed supported.

i checked out his thread but i only found someone mentioning the static noise but no responses his post about it that i found.
also its only on the callers end and only happens for a couple seconds instantly after i answer the call then its gone.
EDIT: so it seems it is a kernel issue.. i dirty flashed viper to get the original kernel back and now the static is no longer there at all. so thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

When you get that message it means you don't have a stock kernel. Try flashing this kernel: http://forum.xda-developers.com/not...pment/kernel-bioshock-1-5-dec-4-2014-t2962744 in recovery, then wipe cache-dalvik.

When you finish installing, power off phone, pull battery for atleast 20 minutes, then power it up. It should boot. The phone is getting hot. Known problem in that thread addressed countless times.

I would try another rom and get a little bit of practice using odin and twrp and the basics before dealing with this or any other port rom.. Read the thread and see what has worked for some but not others. Make a efs backup before anything else.

A bunch of guys are having problems because they dont read or follow instructions. Every fix for every minor bug has been gone over in intense detail countless times. I had everything marked and followed the instructions to the letter on vision US rom. Its as flawless as can be. If someone cant figure it out, its a very easy install, they shouldnt be rooting their phone.
