Hello guys!
I've broken my Xperia's screen, now I want to send it to the service, but I don't wanna send them my phone with all the data. I have USB debuging enabled, but I can't find the auth button (when you connect via ADB, you get the popup). I also need screenshot when SuperSU/Superuser is asking for root privelages.
To sum up, I need 3 screenshots:
popup, when you connect via ADB
SuperSU popup asking for root
Superuser popup when asking for root
Can you help me guys?
Thanks in advance.

Flash a stock FTF, choose to wipe everything.
You do not even need the phone turned on for that
EDIT
The first thing that happens at the service centre is they wipe data anyway. They do that to comply with legal data protection requirements

Is it possible to do it, when my bootloader is unlocked?
I am sending it to the place, where I bought the phone - they will probably fix them on their own. I don't trust these guys.
Yes, you can flash a FTF with an unlocked bootloader.

So I have to:
-install flashtool
-download ftf C6903 14.1.G.1.518 Central Europe 1276-4314_R2A
-copy it to the right folder
-adb reboot fastboot
-flash
Am I correct?
No
Install flashtool (And run the drivers from C:|flashtool\drivers and choose Z1, fastboot and flashmode)
Choose the latest version FTF and put it anywhere convenient on your machine
Turn off phone
Run flashtool, choose the flash icon, navigate to the place you have the FTF, click OK
Ensure you have all options to wipe ticked and nothing ticked to exclude (Default in most cases)
Attach phone in flashmode (Not fastboot) when prompted to by flashtool.
Done
Also, you do not need to do this blind
You can use the SDK (Or other apps like airdroid) to send a screencast to your PC.
You could even mirror your screen to a TV using a HDMI cable etc
Just because the screen is broke does not mean the signal is not being sent....

It seems my LT30p lost flashmode.
After upgrading to 7.0.A.3.195 via "Sony PC Companion 2.1" I flashed the older LT30p_4.0.4_Vodafone.ftf with the flashtool to get back root option.
All works fine.
Now I want to flash the "LT30p_7.0.A.3.195_Vodafone_DE.ftf" I created from the "Sony PC Companion" folder with flashtool.
My problem is, the phone only is able to go into fastboot mode (irrelevant pressing volume down or up).
I re-installed the flashtool-drivers without any improvements.
What have I done and how am I able to get back the flashmode mode for my phone?
Thanks in advance.

You seem to be going around the houses. If you flash that you will lose root again. The only way to root on .195 is with an unsecure kernal and unlocked bootloader.
Just upgrade again through pccompanion and then unlock bootloader and flash advanced stock kernel v4.

Thank you. I know that at first I lost root again.
I thought (and that's I understood from that post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=33568696&postcount=48) that it will possible to flash the ftf file instead of using the "PC Companion" software. I am not happy to lose my holo hd launcher's settings e.g.
I hoped it will work as you described here:
Part 2. Rooting
If you are on 7.0.A.1.303, follow Bin4ry's method from post 2.
If you are on 7.0.A.3.195, follow the other method in the how to root section from post 2.

OK, There is no such thing as flashboot mode. Its either flashmode or fastboot.
Try this
download and install latest flashtool.
Goto driver folder and install drivers for fastboot/flashmode/xperia tx
Then open flashtool and drag and drop the .ftf you want to flash into the open window of flashtool. Wait untill flashtool tells you to connect phone.
Turn phone off, count to 10, hold volume down button and connect usb cable

I did all of them more than once except using PC Companion. Thank you.
I will not use this tool, because it's not my favor to re-install the halo hd gui and moving other tools via root explorer. I'll wait for OTA, if vodafone germany will rollout 7.0.A.3.195 via ota.
If not, I'll see and look further. But I explain, this has been my first and also my very last Sony Smartphone.
thanks again.

You give up too easily.
Uninstall flashtool and all sony software from your PC and reinstall.
Also, you can make a backup of your system using recovery and flash your /data back in recovery after you have sorted the problem.
Personally, i will never get another phone other than sony.

Thanks again, I am familiar with CWM. I used many different roms with my Galaxy S1 and later with my SIII, too.
With Samsung flashing firmware / custom roms is much easier then with Sony Xperia.
I installed all the needed stuff on an other computer I have in my household and voila it works.
I flashed the rom without wipe data and it works, still without root.
After unlocking boot loader and flashing the V4 comes the shock: all my apps are gone and I have to re-install all my stuff, accounts, gui and so on. I hate that work. Okay, Titanium Backup helps, but it costs many time to get back that system I have had previously.
CWM is a great thing to flashing ROMs and kernels, too. Also great if you want to restore an full image, but to restore (user) data often Titanium Backup is the better choise. But that are only my two cents.

If you read the whole of the instructions from the SOny site about unlocking the bootloader it clearly states that all data will be lost and that you should make a backup of it.
Certain content on your phone may also be inaccessible due to the removal of DRM security keys and the secure user data partition while unlocking the boot loader. We advise you to create backups, since user data, settings and accounts will be removed.

I am in an awkward situation.
xperia z, 4.2.2 244 rooted stock rom, bootloader locked, usb debug mode off, recovery not installed.
I accidentally corrupted build.prop and the phone bricked.
I cannot use flashtool to flash the stock rom back because usb debug mode is off.
I cannot use Sony update service Pro to force update because it said that "your phone already has the latest available software installed".
I cannot use PC Companion to repair because the software said that "Sony update engine doesn't have software available for your phone".
Please help.

The above didn't work for me because I received error based on my type of phone.
This guide however did help: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2240614
I had to reboot windows to a settings to enable unsigned drivers. Installed Flashtool and it's drivers,
First unlocked the bootloader(BLU button, got the IMEI, used the sony form (http://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com/instructions))
Then I downloaded the stock sony xperia z ftf image, placed it in Flashtool's firmware folder, then flashed it (flash device > flash mode).
Now my phone's working again.

If you still can enter custom recovery, you only need flash rom and (with) suitable kernel.
If not, you need Flashtool.
- make sure you have the newest version of flashtool and driver
- connect your phone to pc.
- when computer show error about usb not recognized, go to computer management - device manager. Find something in universal serial bus controller list that have yellow triangle and exclamation mark. right click and remove it
- disconnect your phone then reboot your pc
- install flashtool and driver, reboot pc again
- connect your phone to pc. Now, it should detect your phone.
- do flashing procedure

Errm i mean that my phone doesn't stay in flashmode long enough for me to install the drivers into the phone
Well if you have done everything right with flashtool's installation, then you're doing something wrong while flashing.
If you want to flash a new firmware into your phone you must plug-in your device in "normal" mode (not flash mode), then:
1) Execute flashtool
2) select the "flash device" icon
3) select "flashmode" option, click "OK"
4) select firmware you want to flash (make sure which options you want to be checked/unchecked)
5) click on "flash" button
This is when Flastool will ask you to
->Unplug device
->Power off
->Press Vol- button and connect while pressing (this is flash mode)
Give it a try, also read a little bit about Flashtool procedures.
Cheers

Reflash stock firmware from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...php?p=52630436 useing flashtools http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1943886.
After doing this if you want to put a custom recovery on the phone I would suggest you flash Dooms kernel from here in fastboot mode, you can get it here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=52653410.
If you then want to re-root the phone flash chainfire's update SU zip from recovery, this can be obtained here: http://download.chainfire.eu/396/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.94.zip, then download the SuperSU app from the google store.
Just a quick note, Dooms kernel only works on stock firmware.
Hopes this helps :fingers-crossed:

Just a quick note, Dooms kernel only works on stock firmware.
Hopes this helps :fingers-crossed:

No. I have installed xperia tx drivers
Go to the falshtools folder, in there is a folder named drivers, install the exe, when it prompts you select all the drivers, really can't hurt you.
Open the flashtools application and click on the lighting icon and select fastboot mode, click on browse and direct it to where your downloaded firmware is the select flash, wait for it to prompt you to connect your phone, at this point hold down the vol down button and connect the USB, wait for all to flash then unplug the USB and boot your phone.
Sorry if you know how to do any of the above just making sure I cover all steps

My phone have the bootloader locked
That most probably explain why you can't flash it, should have asked and not assumed, wait until I get home and I'll post a couple links on how to unlock the bootloader, or if anyone else would like to do this for me!

Have you tried to repair it via pc companion? If you unlock your bootloader in that situation you will lose your drm keys. It's just soft bricked. How did you install cmw?

I forgot about the digital rights management, seeming all the music I buy gets converted to lossless you can see why it never crossed my mind.
Ok, if you still want to use flashtools, unlock the bootloader here http://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com/
If not open pc companion, click on how to connect my phone, a screen will pop up, click on repair phone, and follow the instructions.
Sorry for the late reply been bogged down with my company paperwork

I don't know if things are different with the T and V, but I've used Flashtools on my TX while having a locked bootloader... so I don't know how much truth there is to that statement; correct me if I'm wrong.
Hey. I just installed "Jolla Launcher" to my Z3 Compact and rebooted the device. It reboots but is now stuck at "the waves" animation. Tried to reset the phone (physical reset-button and VolUp+Power) but doesn't help. Is it bricked or can I still save it?
you can probably removed the bad app using adb. you will need to know the location and name of the app on your device. otherwise, if you're rooted, you can boot into recovery and factory reset or use flashtool/PC companion to reflash the ROM.

Thanks. Well, I actually tried to flash the ROM with Flashtool. Only problem is, I am not rooted so it failed.
So I think there's not much I can do...?

Flashing rom via flashtool doesn't need root. Install the flashmode drivers from flashtool>drivers. Then open flashtool. Select the ftf. When it prompts you to connect the phone, press and hold vlume down key and connect

Of course, this is the part I can't do since I can't get in to the OS:
Preparation
1) Enable ‘USB debugging’ on your handset: Settings > Developer options
2) Enable ‘Unknown sources’ on your handset: Settings > Security

Geez. My bad I accidentally skipped this step:
"NOTE: If your list of files includes “fwinfo.xml” as highlighted below then manually delete it before continuing to the FlashTool steps. You MUST delete this file otherwise your FTF firmware file will corrupt."
So...everythings OK now.
However, THANK YOU! :good:
