Best Buy AT&T arrival date.

I pre-ordered my note 3 from Best Buy, and originally they had an arrival date of october 1st. Today on the website, that date has changed to September 27th.
I'm honestly hoping Best Buy might be accidentally showing an early shipping/arrival date!
Thoughts?

That could also mean AT&T's shipping their pre-orders earlier than the 10/1 date stated. BB is just an agent for the various wireless carriers and serves at their pleasure. I'd find it odd AT&T would allow a third-party to sell a highly anticipated new device before they themselves offered it. The carriers and third-party resellers are frenemies; all the carriers pay them handsome commissions upfront on the value of the two-year deal (device and voice/data plan) and would always rather avoid that pay-out by doing as many customer-direct deals as possible. I've followed BB's pre-order handling of some in-demand devices and it's been a cluster-f because what's in their system doesn't necessarily reflect what's actually happening. We'll know soon enough and best of luck to all no matter what channel they’re ordering from.

Just checked my AT&T preorder and it still says 10/1-10/2:crying:

stock is going fast on att note 3s where i work, and note 3 is launching on the 10th for verizon.

Ordered mine on 9/4 I think and it arrived on my door yesterday (10/3) sometime between 2:30 & 3pm. FedEx didn't even ring the bell, but my son told me I had a package as he came thru the front door from school. :sly:

Sprint Users are out of luck until Nov 8th

UPDATE: At this time Sprint won't activate 32GB N5s, 16GB OKAY.
They won't activate until their launch date, that is if they will even activate play store bought phones at that date.
Thankfully I picked up a tmo pre paid sim so I can use it now.
Screw you Sprint. Please contact customer service and email Sprint exec offices, the more they hear from us the better.

Their willingness to send me a USIM card for free for my Nexus 5 leads me to believe they will activate them.

Untrue I got mine activated. But I used the sim from my note 3. And I ordered a sim online.

Really.... because they flat out said they cant do it period since the N5 isnt in their system.

It's Sprint, if you've been a customer long then you should know YMMV, and you are almost always required to call back multiple times to yield results. While Sprint support has GREATLY improved, it usually takes a few attempts before you reach a technically inclined, competent, and willing representative. IMO and in my experience. :good:

I called 1-888-226-7212 and selected option 2. That got me through to some one in BusinessECare24. I told her the issue and she was super helpful. She even said she would give me a follow up call after my SIM arrives and make sure i didn't have any other issues.

They cant activate them in stores at all as the stores don't stock the SIM cards. They come with the phones that require them. Per the person i spoke with the stores that will be receiving the Nexus 5 will receive a SIM to go with it.

kind of annoying i'll have to wait for my ETF nonsense to settle until my ESN on the old phone clears, but oh well. hello, LTE

They overnighted me mine for free. I am cont complaining.

They better get this fixed. I'd like to know who the Sprint spokesman was that said Google Play customers would have "no problem" activating their phones on Sprints networks. Get the the 32GB IMEI in the system.

They wont have them available until the 8th. As of today the stores i have spoken with they haven't received any yet. They are expecting them tomorrow through the 7th.

got my 16GB nexus 5 that i ordered from the play store activated on sprint today, i started at sprint.com and had to finish the activation process in an online chat with a rep, I am also a sprint employee for any others wondering if you can activate one before it is available for ewd lines, i used a SIM card from a galaxy S4 that was returned to my store that worked fine

I am tempted to hop on this phone from Note 2, But SD810 is literally a couple months away.

Note 3 user here. I've had it since launch. It is the first of the note series that I've owned and absolutely love it. I've been waiting for the 4 for months so I'm excited. I've also been eligible to jump for 6 months but nothing beats the note 3 but the note 4.

also a note 3 user, i know the note 4 isnt that much as an upgrade from the note 3 as people would like but im still getting it lol

I've only had my Note 3 for about a month. I got it knowing that the Note 4 was coming, so I used T-Mobile JUMP to upgrade.

I have AT&T... I will POSSIBLY be getting it, depending on if the bootloader is unlocked.

I just switched to T-Mobile from Sprint but didn't think JUMP was worth signing up for. How did that work for you? Doesn't T-Mobile only pay up to half of your current device, up to $350 I think? Seems like you would have lost a lot of money by doing it so quick.

It worked out for me because I sold my Nexus 5 to a friend & used that money to basically pay for half of the Note 3 when I got it. So for me, I'm basically moving from a Nexus 5 to a Note 4, with the Note 3 in-between, without really costing me anything extra out of pocket. Plus, they gave me Jump free for the first month.

The ATT version will be locked. The T-Mobile version will probably be unlocked.

I'll be upgrading to a Note 4, from a Note 3. I'm in a Band 12 area and would like to take advantage of it when it rolls out. If it wasn't for that, and the $200 rebate from Samsung I probably wouldn't upgrade.

Do Tmo devices usually get good dev support? I am about to switch over to Tmo and am eyeing the Note 4. I currently own the international Note 3.

I'm upgrading from a note 2. Gonna miss it, but with that new screen and metal frame i just had to upgrade. I sold it on craigslist for $200 and if i trade in the temp phone i got I am still eligible for the $200 from Samsung. pretty cool.

TMO Note 3 received good support from what i can see. The Note 2 didn't get much at first.

That's why I'm waiting to see. Not preordering. I didn't do my research when I bought my ATT Note 3, and I'm not repeating this with the Note 4.

Had all the Notes 1-3 and they were all great. Played with the Note 4 at Best Buy today wasnt in awe to the point i want to hurry and get it, the edge would probably be the only reason i get the 4

I don't want to burst your bubble but ATT will not release a phone without a locked bootloader. Do what I do - buy a TMOBILE Note 4 and use it on ATT. I did that with the NOTE 3 and the S5 and plan to do it on the Note 4 too! TMOBILE phones work great on ATT network..

TMBOBILE S5 was not locked. I don't knwo who said that but they don't know what they were talking about. I have a TOMBILE S5 and I am on ATT NETWORK. (I plan on doing the same thing with the Note 4)

Grats, which version did you get again? Can you test SMS, MMS and group texting? Regarding group texting, when they reply does it show in the same group text thread or seperately?

i can get MMS, SMS And as far as group chat goes i have not tried that yet. and i got the 4GB/128GB the 6Gb/256GB was a bit out of my price range. i wanted the gold on the back but i can live without it

i got so lucky! i got in off ebay. i had been messaging back and forth with people from china who said they had it in stock and it would ship to me in 10 days. but i just could not believe them knowing it was hard to get these. so friday im refreshing the ebay page over and over and luckily some guy from maryland had 1. and he showed the pictures of the box and the phone on his listing. i messaged him and asked him the details and i bought it without any hesitation. i got lucky.

where did you order from if you dont mind me asking? i pre ordered off gearbest at first but they wanted my DL And CC number to verify even though i payed with paypal. so i cancelled my order. i feel like they were doing that because they realized they wont be able to fulfill order

Funny you mentioned that, I bought some Guild Wars 2 gems for cheap from a China seller and they asked for my DL also. Said its for security purpose, I'm like its only $20 and I paid via Paypal already, was able to get the order cancelled.

Did it come with English language installed? I heard they have to load a different Rom on it to support other languages?
And do you get LTE on AT&T?

I paid with CC from Gearbest said it would ship on 25 Novemer and if I couldn't wait they would happily refund the money.

It did come with English installed. And I'm getting 4g speeds. It doesn't specify if it's LTE it says 4G but it's super fast

Install signal check lite or LTE discovery-will show what bands you are on.

depending upon where you are, if on LTE/4G, you should be on band 2 (1900Mhz) or band 5 (less likely) (850Mhz)...no band 17 (700Mhz) which is the most common

Entered my Note 8 Loan Agreement Number and Surname, and the only option it gave me was the option for the 128GB model, showing an incorrect Cash price of £869, should be £899 for 128GB Model. It doesn't give me the option for the 512GB/8GB Ram model either. (See Attachment)
Anyone else experiencing the same problem? I didn't get an email to upgrade either, maybe I'm rushing and should wait a little longer as it was just announced.

Try again, I can see two 512GB models as well as all three in 128GB.

Is the UK version exynos? I'm from the USA and looking to purchase exynos from UK. I think that LTE will work in USA. Just wish I know for sure which band LTE the UK phone has.

Anyone managed to get the Samsung Mobile Care after entering loan agreement and surname?
Samsung have cancelled my order twice after each time telling me that it can only be added when placing the order.
Currently it only seems new customers or new Upgrade Program contracts can get Mobile Care with the existing eligible Note 8 users missing out.

Check the terms and conditions buddy. Im sure ive read that the Knox warranty must be valid to return the phone otherwise they will charge you a fee.

Woot woot!! Finally got my upgrade (Black 512GB) pre-ordered now with Mobile Care added after numerous emails and calls to Samdung Support/Shop.

What's the crack with mobile care? Only shows 2 years available for £120. Surely a bit pointless on the yearly upgrade plan. Or am I missing something.

Think I seem to remember it being 11 payments min. When did you get your 8?
I have just upgraded note 8 to 9 after receiving my note 8 on release day 15th September last year.

As it is forms part of the credit agreement with Close Brothers, this gets added to the monthly payment plan.
When the new device is released a year later and you wish to upgrade, Close Brothers cancel your remaining year including Mobile Care. You then sign up for a new 2 year contract and add Mobile Care to start the process again.
So in theory you only pay for 1 year of Mobile Care for that particular device as the 2nd year is cancelled once upgraded.
That's how it's always worked for me the last 3 years.

Does it even make sense?
Considering you buy into a new plan starting from scratch on the condition you send your handset back after having paid half means you are selling your handset back to Samsung or Close bros for half the price maybe even a bit less considering the depo. I Think I'm better off selling it myself, especially if the condition is pristine. Why would I do that? When nothing is stopping me from buying into a new note9 plan anyway if I want.

Value to buy out of the plan ( what was given for the Note 8 ) was £425.
