Sprint Users are out of luck until Nov 8th

UPDATE: At this time Sprint won't activate 32GB N5s, 16GB OKAY.
They won't activate until their launch date, that is if they will even activate play store bought phones at that date.
Thankfully I picked up a tmo pre paid sim so I can use it now.
Screw you Sprint. Please contact customer service and email Sprint exec offices, the more they hear from us the better.

Their willingness to send me a USIM card for free for my Nexus 5 leads me to believe they will activate them.

Untrue I got mine activated. But I used the sim from my note 3. And I ordered a sim online.

Did you do it thru the Sprint website? To activate.

Really.... because they flat out said they cant do it period since the N5 isnt in their system.

It's Sprint, if you've been a customer long then you should know YMMV, and you are almost always required to call back multiple times to yield results. While Sprint support has GREATLY improved, it usually takes a few attempts before you reach a technically inclined, competent, and willing representative. IMO and in my experience. :good:

wow, if this is true and they won't activate my phone in store i'll be paying my ETF on the spot to clear my old phone's ESN. (which truthfully is the only reason i wanted to activate the new phone anyway, so i could sell my iPhone to pay for the ETF to go to T-Mobile)
i am not a bit surprised, and won't be surprised if they tell me the same thing tomorrow. ridiculous.

I called 1-888-226-7212 and selected option 2. That got me through to some one in BusinessECare24. I told her the issue and she was super helpful. She even said she would give me a follow up call after my SIM arrives and make sure i didn't have any other issues.

They cant activate them in stores at all as the stores don't stock the SIM cards. They come with the phones that require them. Per the person i spoke with the stores that will be receiving the Nexus 5 will receive a SIM to go with it.

kind of annoying i'll have to wait for my ETF nonsense to settle until my ESN on the old phone clears, but oh well. hello, LTE

They overnighted me mine for free. I am cont complaining.

They better get this fixed. I'd like to know who the Sprint spokesman was that said Google Play customers would have "no problem" activating their phones on Sprints networks. Get the the 32GB IMEI in the system.

They wont have them available until the 8th. As of today the stores i have spoken with they haven't received any yet. They are expecting them tomorrow through the 7th.

got my 16GB nexus 5 that i ordered from the play store activated on sprint today, i started at sprint.com and had to finish the activation process in an online chat with a rep, I am also a sprint employee for any others wondering if you can activate one before it is available for ewd lines, i used a SIM card from a galaxy S4 that was returned to my store that worked fine

Note 4 Launch Date

I've been made aware through a phone retail location that the Note 4 will release on September 26th. Unrelated, iPhone will release on the 19th.
This news sounds spot on as last year the Note 3 released around three weeks after the unveiling which we know to be September the 3rd for this year.
iPhone launch date seems accurate as well, as last year it released a week and a half after the Apple unveiling.

Just rumor but I've heard the Note 4 will be released the same day it's introduced.

More than likely thats when preorders will start, I work in a retail location, and management leaked to me that these are the days for release and that all employees must work on these big launch days.

Canada retail here, also can vouch getting some word through the gravevine of a upcoming surprise. Can't say for sure if it is the Note 4. Lots of rumors going around that Samsung got less than expected results from the S5 so they will launch the Note 4 early to boost sales figures.

t-mobile just put us on the waiting list and said they will call us the night before so we can come get them

I wouldn't be surprised if Verizon is 1 month behind everyone else.

Verizon needs to add logos so it delays the release process.
On a good note, Bestbuy in Los Angeles is having the Note 4 and I am going to check it out.

Nothing specific just yet sadly.
There's been a few rumours saying the end of September/start of October, but they're just rumours and nothing to back them up yet.

Called a couple of them near me and they said within a week or two they'll have them. They're having a hard enough time getting them into T-Mobile retail stores.
I'm hoping for the best tomorrow since I have about 10 stores within 40 minutes of my house.

So if BB carries the phone couldn't they activate it on a VZW plan? What would stop them from not being able to? This might be the only route for VZW customers.

It's not the only route, play store orders should activate on Verizon. I ordered mine directly from Motorola and asked customer service to double check, and was told it will work on Verizon, however it doesn't come with the nano sim.

I just received my RMA and it's a brand new nexus 6 in the box. I'm pretty sure the policy is to return just the device. Anyone have any insight? Am I supposed to return the cables as well?

I just sent my N6 back as well. The instructions said to keep all of the accessories, but put old phone back into sleeve the RMA phone came in. You are lucky to get a new phone. I got to wait over a week, for a refurbished device.

Word on the street is that experia z3 (maybe all Sony's) and the n6 are the only phones that get sent out a new device if problems occur.

If I report my n6 stolen with T-Mobile could I still connect it with cricket or another carrier? I know atnt, sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon share the same black list so that won't work but what about other companies?

If you report a phone as stolen, it gets blacklisted. It will not be able to be activated on any carrier in the US.
I am struggling with why you would do this, and also why you would bring this type of question here (rhetorical...).

So it was brand new with all accessories as it was when you originally got your first N6? Reason I'm asking I did an RMA last week Saturday and idiots at tmobile told me it would be used which didn't make sense since I was also told it would be coming directly from Motorola.

Got the phone today and it's refurbished that's some BS! I hate T-Mobile they're garbage!

I am curious as well. Not sure yet, but I pre-ordered the unlocked version from BestBuy for pickup on the 24th, if it is not unlocked, I'm going to return it. I'll check when I get it (unless someone knows)

I did the same. Everything I've read for the 3a release says that the unlocked ones from Best Buy were also able to be bootloader unlocked.
Makes no sense for Google to treat this release any different, but Google does plenty of things that don't make sense. So I'm still hoping there's some logic here.

Did you hear anything on your pre-order yet? Mine shows on the website "Pickup available on Release Date: Thu, October 24." but an email I just got shows "We were just informed that the fulfillment date for the item listed below has been updated to Friday, November 08, 2019.

Hopefully it is wrong , what I suggest is contacting the Best buy customer service , mention the email and see if it's the matter of switching colors if they're short on the white one if you're open to that. I know that the phones are in stores now but they cannot release them till tomorrow

I feel for you but you're all over the boards and it's confusing to some. Edit your post please and let everyone know that Google sent you a Verizon locked version. They sell 3 versions and have for some time. The fi and unlocked ones are bl unlockable but the Verizon one is not.

Are you guys really surprised your pre-order dates have been pushed out. This happens every year all the way back to the Nexus 6p

I posted this in another thread. It might help some people out.
My IMEI starts with 35 (Apparently this means it is a Verizon model, but I really don't know if that's true). I turned on phone, skipped all the setup, and went directly to see if I could unlock it. It was greyed out. I then activated it in Google Fi and the option cleared up, I enabled it and unlocked bootloader via fastboot. Hope this helps some people out there.

Just picked up my 128GB Clearly White unlocked model from Best Buy and just toggled OEM unlocking and will be unlocking the phone shortly. Just going to verify everything is working and that I don't have a dud screen like some people got.

I thought the IMEI starting with 99xxx were from Verizon. Your starts with 35xxx doesn't it?

Just to note, OEM unlock was greyed out, turned on wifi, reboot and the toggle came!
Alright everyone, bootloader is unlockable from Bestbuy.

IMEI starts with 35 and it is the unlocked. Model number is GA01182-US orange. It is the same model that sells on B&H ... Not sure if it is the same as verizon.
