Kakaotalk

Anyone use Kakao Talk?
I can't get this app to work on the Sense 5 ROM. Tried stock and ViperROM. It installs and works fine on the AOKP.
Keeps saying "Update Needed".
I've tried restoring a working version (that I got from AOKP) from Titanium Backup but it recognizes the ViperROM as a new devices and resets everything.

[Q] I537 - Google edition - USB transfer not working

Hi All,
I have rooted, installed safestrap, and flashed a rom slot with the google edition that was reported to work here. I flashed the MF3 master patch and also the active call recording patch to resolve a speakerphone issue (here).
Almost everything seems to be working fine but for 2 issues:
1. my camera's viewfinder is very grainy/pixelated when in video mode (this apparently isn't an issue on some other ROMs, more research on my part needed here)
2. when booted in the Google edition ROM, I can't get my computer to mount the file system via USB. Windows device manager indicates the device cannot start When I boot back into stock, it connects to my computer just fine.
I'm going to try to reflash this because when I originally installed this, I jumped the gun and rebooted before wiping dalvik, etc.
I'm also going to try reinstalling the drivers, but it works when I use the stock ROM, so I think drivers are fine.
Any other thoughts on this?

Both are well documented bugs. The video thing doesn't affect the actual recording. Playback looks normal. The USB thing: I think that's the case with all GPE ROMs.

[Q] Can no longer check "Unknown sources" from security settings

Two days ago i rooted my phone with VRoot, but now after i tried to install a new app i found, it said i couldn't and then i went to settings, checked Unknown sources, but after i back it is no longer checked, also some apps are crashing randomly.
One thing i did was using the Market enabler/DroidVPN method to unlock the us play store only to find out it does not work, i would say after i did this my phone started acting all weird
edit: phone is also randomly freezing

My best advice to you is backup your personal data, and reflash with odin, you can also flash custom rom, recovery + kernel with the odin packages supplied by the maclaw team or flash stock .

thanks for the reply, what i did was install cyanogenmod 4.4.2, everything is fine so far, i don't understand much about flashing and roms and stuff.

[Q] YouTube: There was a problem while playing

I have uninstalled updates, rebooted phone, and installed from 1Market instead of the Google Play Store but still when I try to play any video on YouTube I receive the error 'There was a problem while playing - Touch to retry'. Retrying just repeats same. I rooted the phone recently and installed Cyanogenmod but the problem was occurring even when using stock. YouTube works fine on my tablet using the same WiFi. I have not yet set up adblock and I am not using any custom VPN or tunneling. I have read on some threads the issue only occurs streaming HQ video but when I attempt to stream, press the three dots menu top right, and then press the cog/gear for settings, the resolution options only go up to 480 and pressing auto does not help, this also resets to 480 when I check it on the next attempt. If relevant the baseband version installed is different than what was on the phone initially, it was the closest I could find for the only rooting method which would work.
Any ideas how to fix YouTube?

Did you flash the latest version of CM 11? They may have fixed the YouTube issue (at least it's fixed on my ROM).

I am not sure, I installed Cyanogenmod about two or three weeks ago. I checked for Cyanogenmod updates in settings yesterday and there were none, would that mean I have the latest ROM?

NovaFusion's CyanogenMod 11 ROM is unofficial that mean no OTA updates. Go to novafusion.pl/downloads and download the latest version from there. Then flash it simple via recovery without wipe data.

[Q] Paranoid Android 4.4.4

I flashed paranoid android 4.42-20140709 and it worked fine. It told me I had an ota upgrade to 4.6 beta5. I downloaded and installed and the wifi stopped connecting. I cleared the system and flashed 4.42 over and I still have the same issue. The wireless never connects it just says "Connecting" or "Out of range" it never connects. How can I fix this? I have wiped system, installed the rom, and wiped cache/dalvik still no solution.

Try rebooting WiFi router. Even if other devices are working fine.

I'm not even sure why or how but its working on beta5 again. Everything synced fine, installed the razr jbx kernel for overclock and everything works perfectly. Going to try out a theme and hope it all goes well
