FAQ:
No more updates after 4.8.8 ?
-> Miui doenst support jb 4.2 after 4.8.8, so there won't be anymore miui updates. But i'll added UpdateMe, an updatetool where i will upload bug fixes if needed. Also i will add some more stuff to UpdateMe till we have a working recovery for 4.4 for new miui updates.
Will this work on my d950/d959/..
-> no. If you interesed in helping to get it work on your flex variant PM me.
Knock On doesn't work.
-> Download this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...enmenusettings , now you can open the Hidden settings. Choose "Settings -> update Touch Firmware" after that Knock On should work.Don't touch anything else on the Hidden settings !
I've got a FC when someone is calling me / when i try to call someone from recent list
-> Please report if you got this, till then this bug is noticed as fixed for me.
The keyboard is to small.
-> you can resize the keyboard on the keyboard settings (its the g3 keyboard)
You can add XX Lg app ?
-> I will later add an App where you can choise some of them.
There is no Radio app ?
-> use spirit fm http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1059296

Com.android.phone is crashing every 2 seconds.
Other than that it seemed to be working well.
NO DATA
Phone constantly switches between 1x and no signal. Walked outside and no change.
I am in an LTE area btw.
When you boot down instead of off/on it has united arab/united kingodom....strange...lol
Big logcat is of just the system running and me not touching the device
Small logcat is the specific miui logcat of the phone force close.
Picture is screenshot of miui logcat.
Rename the big logcat to .txt not .docx (upload restrictions)
Hope this helps. Let me know if I can do anything else. Ill keep trying to dig up bugs in my free time.

Flashed again this morning during my coffee and a smoke.
It seems as if service is working, and I was able to make a quick phone call but then it gives me the red X and no service returns to the device no matter what I do.
This will happen with or without me making a phone call or touching the device at all, within 30 seconds of boot COM.ANDROID.PHONE crashes and continues to crash every 2 or 3 seconds thereafter. Battery consumption went from 48% at time of first boot to 15% within 30-45 mins. Dialer and contacts app crashed as well and wiping data and cache did nothing to restore it.
Once those main things are addressed I could see this being a huge step in the right direction.
Best of luck,

Fast dormancy cause this issue.(missing method) maybe if you disable fast dormancy it will work will add the missing method and make a new build. I think the batterydrain is caused by the needed reconnect every 30 sec.

Alright, this is going to be a long one.
There are 3 logcats and pictures to go with them.
I flashed the Rom messed around with it and got around to rooting it with ioroot and running logcat for the first logcat file. So you would call the first two logcats "tampered" and the service is borked. No calls no service big red X.
After messing around, I have a couple thoughts.
Once you flash the rom, You will not break the service until you try to access the data or go into Mobile Network settings in the settings.
If you click settings, and open up the mobile network tab it will break all service. This is not fixed until you go back to recovery and wipe all data, cache and dalvik. You will then be back to working service but no data. Even accessing the dialer seems to cause intermittent issues with the service.
The first and second logcat are when the service is already broken and I am just messing around in the settings and trying to make calls and what not.
Now,
The third large logcat is me forcing the service into breaking.
So around line 11500 (Basically the very, very bottom) I went into settings and Mobile network and broke the service. I think the total lines were 12200, so like I said the very very bottom of the logcat.
Sim card eventually says you have entered a new sim card and haven't activated it or what not. Borked as well.
Hopefully this info gets us closer to calls and data!
Would love to see this in beta,
AdA
:EDIT:
Make sure to change these.docx files to .txt
Camera Bluetooth and flashlight and most every feature works from my knowledge!
Didn't found the phone fc on the logs, need to look later on my desktop at it. Maybe on next testbuild you can make again a screenshot from the fc after hitting "report miui" then its easier for me to find it on my device
I also made a new test build (not based on your logs, only an idea what can be wrong)
roms.gerrett84.de/ls995/miui/test/fullota2.zip
Edit:
btw theres no need for ioroot. Goto Security-> Permission and activate root

As of right now the force closes have stopped completely.
The only way to break the service is to enter mobile network settings.
The phone has great service and phone calls and everything works perfect, until you enter the mobile network tab. Then it seems to default to only GSM radio. You lose the option to select CDMA/LTE in network preference. And service stays broken util you reflash the rom.
Logcat is below, rename to .txt.
Hope this helps,
AdA
Thats means, Service is fully working (calls/message/data) till you enter the mobile settings?

Thought about clarifying that when I typed it, but figured it was assumed. No Data still but calls, txts, and everything else works great. The second you enter Mobile Network settings it kills all service and takes away the option for CDMA/LTE in Network Preferences. All force closes have ceased for the time being.
Let me know if you have anymore questions,
AdA
Try this : open dailer and dail : *#*#4636#*#* . Check if you can there choise the CDMA/LTE network

I flashed OTA3 and had great service but no data still. Entered mobile network settings and all service crashed again. I entered the dialer hit the 4636 combination and selected lte/cdma and service returned but kept force closing again. Below are the logcats of the force close and pictures of my information from the programming menu.

This is another howto on upgrading your HTC Incredible S from Android 2.3.3 to the latest and greatest Android 4.1 (JB). I am posting this because I had a heck of a time getting it on my phone as I had a stock device and I did not find an all in one for n00b's.

Enter HBOOT:
---------------------
To enter HBOOT all you need to do is turn off your phone and turn it back on by holding "Volume Down" and the "Power" buttons for a few seconds. If your dont get to a white screen in a few seconds just try holding them down again. Make note of what version you are running as this is for 1.13
Preliminary:
-----------------
- Download the zip at the end of this post for all the needed files
- Install "HTC_Fastboot_Drivers_3.0.exe"
- Transfer the three zip files onto the root of your sdcard
Bootloader:
----------------
My HBOOT is 1.13 and this only applies to that version!! If you have 1.16 then look HERE for this sections instructions
- Select "Charge Only" on your conectivity menu
- In settings turn on USB debugging (Settings->Applications->Development)
- On your PC enter the "revolutionary-0.4pre4" directory
- Run "revolutionary.exe" with admin rights (Right click->Run as admin...)
- As you are waiting for it to find your phone go to "http://revolutionary.io/"
- The Revolutionary program will ask for a beta key and will display your phones serial number. On the website under the "Downloads" heading half way down the page is a "Download for Windows" link. Click this link but cancel the download. This will pop up the beta key window.
- Paste the beta key from the website into the Revolutionary program and wait for it to do its work
- After a while you will be back at HBOOT but you will see "-REVOLUTIONARY-" at the top and "S-OFF" listed
- Select "Reboot" and let Android drop back to the UI as usual and the Revolutionary program will re-locate the phone.
- If Revolutionary does not find your phone again just close the program and re-open it with admin rights
- It will ask if you want to install ClockWorkMod, enter "y" and let it work its magic
- After a while you will be back in HBOOT, select "Recovery" and you will drop to CMW
Root:
-------
- In CWM select "Install ZIP from SDCARD"
- Select "Superuser-3.0.7-efghi-signed.zip" and install it.
NOTE: Now you have a nice recovery program for writing and backing up your rom. If you stop here you will have your same android version but the ability to put whatever you want on your phone.
Install A ROM:
---------------------
- Boot into HBOOT and then into CWM by selecting "Recovery"
- Backup your old ROM! If you do not do this you will have nothing to go back to in a failure!
- In CWM select "Install ZIP from SDCARD"
- Select "Factory Reset" and then "Wipe Cache" as well
- Select "Codename-Android-3.5.0-VIVO.zip" and install it
- Select "Go Back" and then "Install" again
- Choose "gapps-jb-20120726-signed.zip" this time
- Select "Go Back" and then "Restart"
And now you have Jelybean installed with all of the Google apps!!!
NOTES ON JELLYBEAN ROM:
---------------------------------------------
Their are quite a few random bugs but they are quite minor in my opinion. I was able to use my phone like every other day at work without a single one of the issues below getting in my way. If you want a rock stable ROM then I recommend you check out Project X which is ICS and nearly every bug has been hammered out.
Helpfull Notes:
---------------
Their is no HTC Sense so no HTC apps anymore. For WiFi teather download "Barnacle Wifi Teather" from the Play store. It will fail first run as it needs to setup settings but then it works great.
- Camera App, The front facing camera casues glitches. If you try then do this to restore sanity:
1) Go to Settings -> Apps -> All and select "Gallery"
2) Clear data

BUG LIST:
---------------
Notification light:
No light for charging <== Battery icon changes and phone wakes up when plugged in as usual, who cares?!
Wrong colour for notifications (orange not green) <== Who cares?!
Call volume is very low or non-existent <== No volume problems for me!
Camera: <== All the below problems exist
There is no touch to focus
Video recording does not work
Front camera does not work
Back light:
If screen brightness is set to 5% or lower they will not work. <== Does not happen to me!
Buttons can turn off after 5 seconds of inactivity. This is a jellybean feature
On reboot back lights may not turn on, you can activate them by adjusting your brightness through settings. <== Has never happened!
MMS does not work (for some carriers) <== Im with SaskTel and it works
Works if connected to Wi-Fi (for some carriers)
Re-enter your APN settings manually may fix issue
Data sometimes won’t activate when enabled <== Again worked with SaskTel without setup
Re-enter your APN settings manually may fix issue
Wi-Fi is buggy for some <== Seems good to me
Go to Wi-Fi settings, menu button> advanced, there is an option enabled by default saying that any low range Wi-Fi will be disconnected automatically.
You can also try to set router to wireless g only.
Possible fix from nik: https://www.dropbox.com/s/zbl8fi8ito...Fix_for_JB.zip
Radio Strength in general is lower and slower <== I noticed fewer bars on my AP but a decent connection otherwise
Default AOSP Keyboard becomes default for no reason <== I don't have a different keyboard so im good
Swift key gestures (eg, backward swipe for delete) sometimes don’t work double tap the menu button to fix.
YouTube/Video playback reboots phone <== Disable HW overlays fixed this for me
This could be due to flash, possible temp fix, go to "settings->developer options" & "Disable HW overlays"
Other Camera apps may not work <== I only take pictures so the stock works for my needs
Google now/voice dictation is slow to open and seems that input volume is low <== LOL, did this ever work for anyone?!
Gallery: <== I have not seen any gallery issues
Has some back scrolling issues.
Possible fix for the Gallery:
1) Delete the .nomedia file (and other “hidden files”) from /sdcard/ and-or /data/
2) Wipe Media Storage Data (Settings>Apps>Media Storage)
3) Reboot.
4) If all else fails try formatting memory card and re-adding music and pictures back. Backup! Backup! Backup!
Face-unlock does not work (for some) <== Never worked with my mug anyways as my beard grows to fast lol
After using the camera, brightness won't revert back to original state, it stays bright <== Never seen this one before
This also happens in ICS roms not just JB roms
Need to manually reset brightness.
Or close camera from “recent apps” menu
Ability to change the volume even when the phone is locked <== Media volume can be changed when locked (This is normal)
Text looks "corrupt/fuzzy" <== Everything looks good to me!
That is really great. Thanks for summarizing all the steps. Even I found it difficult when I installed my first ROM.
By the way how is the ROM working. I read that there are lot of issues because of the kernel. Those will not be shoved till the time new kernel is available. Is the call volume issue fixed? Man it would be great if you can list down major bugs.
Thanks for the steps one more time.

I will be using my phone all day tomorrow at work so I should find any of the bugs but so far I have not found a single one besides the front camera issue. Call volume was also not a problem and I did a test call first thing.
I will post my Impressions tomorrow.
P.S - Don't be afraid to use the Thanks button!
Thank you.
I am also planning to install it. But I was bit skeptical after seeing all the bug list.
I wil wait for your feedback on the ROM.

I added my observations to the bug list in my first post. Over all I find it perfectly usable for my every day routine but if you use the camera features and videos often then it may piss you off. Check out Project X if you want to upgrade to ICS while this version gets some of its bugs smoothed out.
Yup .... M already on project 4.1 x for last 3 weeks.... And m loving it.. yesterday I tried code 3.5 jb as well but found it very buggy and rolled bak to 4.1x again.
Everything was fine... Until I had a call for more than 5 mins.... After a while person on the other side was not able hear me properly....which p***ed me off....
I vl wait for a stable jb version..

So I finally took the plunge today and rooted. I flashed the most recent Sprint version of ViperROM, and everything was going just fine and dandy, I was all giddy setting up my MoDaCo UI mods, etc, until I tried to send a text. Tried to send for 5 minutes, got the fail message. Well, that's weird. What about 3G data? Nope, nothing. Maybe the ROM is bad? I flashed the stock ROM by viperboy, also didn't work. Same problems. So now I'm stuck with no cellular connection and I need it soon. How do I fix it? (Note that I followed my tutorials step by step and everything works except cellular connection. Also note that it says I have service and that data is going in/out, but it's not actually sending/receiving anything. It seems that I need something called an RUU, but I have no idea what that is or where to get a correct one and how to flash it.
Please give me a step by step (I'm using TWRP if that matters), as this is my first time rooting or doing anything more advanced with my phone past advanced themes in Nova Launcher. I'll need links if you have them, or at least where to look. Please help me, because don't want to go back to stock after getting all my awesome tweaks already!
And yes, I have updated my PLR and Profile in the system updates menu, same results.
EDIT: I fixed it, yay! I tried clicking UICC unlock in the software update menu. It said no profile update available, and then it started working (it's actually faster than normal! ) It may have been the profile update that did it and it took a second to update, but it works now! Yay! I even rebooted to make sure it was going to stay after a shutdown, etc, and it did! I guess I should check all option before posting a thread next time... (If you can't tell I'm extremely happy it works!)
EDIT 2: It stopped working again :'(. Now I'm constantly losing the 3G connection that I "had" and messages and data only work about 10% of the time they say they're connected. Wifi still works. When I try updating the profile, it says it could not be updated and to try again later (this is after several tries and a reboot). I try to update the PLR and I get error code 1233. Apprently this is an HTC specific error with no know fix? I try to do the UICC unlock, and it gives me the same error as the profile message.
EDIT 3: It seems Sprint is having issues in my area, I will update again if they resolve it or reply to my tweet.
EDIT 4: They told me to go restart the booster thingy I have in my house, and now my connection is working for now...
Hey XDA,
Before I get a lot of flaming I want to say I did search extensively and wasn't able to find any solutions/people with the same issue. As I'm new to posting in XDA I am not new to forums so I do know how to search.
I just installed Cyanogenmod via the Installer to test it out and see if it worked on my new HTC One. I am unable to connect to 4g LTE and there is no option for this anywhere (just the general Data Enabled toggle). Anyone have a similar issue or know a fix?
I know with my older phones I would flash an non-JB modem before installing CM, but figured I didn't have to with the installer they released.
Thanks in advance for the help, loving the HTC One so far!

change that and you should be good to go (mine is set to LTE/CDMA/EvDO/GSM/WCDMA)
might need to disable / enable data / airplane mode / etc but just play with the settings a bit and you'll get it
(for reference i updated my radio manually, and gapps to 08/20 and using the stable milestone 1 release)(3 zips)
had some links for you but it won't let me post them sorry

I didn't. I'd constantly switch between the different CDMA/LTE choices and could sometimes connect to LTE, but I would also randomly lose service as if my radio stopped working. Went back to stock and everything was working fine so I'm sticking to that.

Ah, well, I got mine working. I'm on the 4.4 google edition rom. using the nova launcher > apn, then for the settings just named it "Credo LTE" and used apn=“n.w1.ispsn" and mmsc="http://mms.plspictures.com" and type="default, mms"
all is finally working right. for whatever reason, with root and all I couldn't get the apn-config.xml to save. I put an edited file in there but it kept reverting... I also went into *#*#4636#*#* and changed the preferred network type to LTE/CDMA (auto).
hope this helps anyone on credo!
Hello,
I need some help with install CyanogenMod 12 - Neo's Homebuilds
I have Sony Xperia T LT30p
Android ver: 4.3
Kernel ver: 3.4.0
Build number: 9.2.A.1.199
Phone is unlocked and rooted.
I have problem on next steps - recovery and flash
In instruction to install CyanogenMod12 doesn't write how recovery I shoud use. I read, most people use CWM, so I was looking for that recovery.
Unfortunatelly, from this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2012738 when I tried run CWM v9 installer for JB, select my phone from list
I have only " deamon not running, starting it now on port 5037* deamon startded successfully" and nothing happens.
I flashed this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2677553 Installed correctly, I go to cwm recovery, I did a backup, but when I was tried
install rom, I have an error something like "You tried install rom for LT30, but your device is Hayabusa" and installation is aborted.
What recovery (and from where) I need, to correctly install this mod? Do I need install another kernel too? (All kernels what I seen, have older build number than I have on the phone)
Could someone help me to finish this process?
Best Regards
Same issue like here.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3038250
Check this out. :good:
Hey WhiteNeo, thanks for response.
I read this post before, but in there, user has a Xperia V, and has a different Build number, and he has (a good?) recovery (I don't know if this has any significance) and aborts appears, in the middle of installation with different kind of error log.
I have abort message on the beginning, telling that the rom is ok but device is Hayabusa..:/
Could you tell me what recovery I should use? (Or maybe this what I have installed is correctly? I don't tried do this on the TRWP)
I need flash another kernel? or it's not necessary?
Still, the steps I mentioned are the same.. Either remove the first line in updater-script, or flash my kernel via fastboot before installing the rom.
The kernel does include a working recovery from where you may flash the rom itself.
Good news, I finished and it works
I flashed the kernel – boot.img from your rom zip package (maybe it worth add this info to the instruction on first page?)
Thanks very very! much for your hints. So now I join to the „tester” your great rom
For now (using only 1 hour) I found only 2 bugs.
First is a „!” symbol near gsm signal when we turn off cellular data.
Second is a unable to turn on the camera using dedicated button.
Thanks again.:good:

Funnily enough, that symbol shows that you don't have cellular data (internet connection); if you don't like the symbol, turn on cellular data or connect to a working WiFi network.

The "!" symbol, it's not funnily enough, on any kind of system or application.
It's little weird kind of notification about disabled internet connection. Many people save the battery or $ by
disabling cellular data (in stock system you don't have any icon to inform that status) and that should be
something "normal", "!" is unnecessary to inform that fact.

Then you should probably complain to Google and it's developers for creating that ugly and disgusting icon, instead of labeling it as a bug. Just because there is something about your phone that you don't like doesn't mean it's a bug; that's like saying my battery only lasting 18 hours is a bug, when in fact I leave my screen on for more than 3 hours.
Also, I didn't know there was an Official Android 5 Stock Rom for either the T/TX Sony phone, so I wouldn't know about how it behaves. Please do share the news.

Also custom ROMs don't always have the same features stock ROMs do, for instance, opening the camera app when clicking on the camera button (doesn't work on any of the custom ROMs I've used), but again, that doesn't mean it's a bug.
You can probably use Xposed + Xposed Additions to get that function.

I didn't know that in the original android 5.x symbol "!" near gsm signal, is implemented - is changing, figure things out.
For me, its a little strange, "!" symbol should inform that something is wrong / something damaged but in this case
everything is ok but symbol is displayed. All right, this is only my opinion.
I didn't write nowhere about official android 5 for Xperia T, so I don't know what you mean.
About camera button, it's works, example on the Ultimate PureXT custom ROM, so it is possible to work on custom rom.
If it's designed for something, and now it's not working as it should....how do you call it if not a bug? fault? defect? mistake?
Fortunately, it's only a details and I'm grateful to the authors, for this custom rom and I keep my fingers crossed for next update
to improve this rom.

What I meant was that even on Stock ROMs, the icons change to show there is no connection to Google's servers (blue colored signal in 4.3 and below, and orange colored in QS in 4.4), so it shouldn't surprise you that the function is still there.
About the camera button... I would probably call that not having access to the entirety of Sony's source code, drivers, etc., in order to implement that function, and custom ROM developers probably just haven't simply figured that out yet; because, for your information, the Ultimate PureXT Rom is not a custom ROM.
I don't know if anyone else experienced this, but everytime i restart or shutdown my phone, it does reset display timeout to 30 secs, untick unknown sources and sets time to 12-Hour instead of 24-Hour.
Is there anything i can do to fix this?
I'm on official lollipop
Same here, got the update via OTA for my D410hn. I've seen reports about the same issues but I thought it was related to the beta (D410_20B) but it happens is the official update too, even if installed via OTA.
I can't do it now, but perhaps a factory reset (or wipe data in recovery mode) fixes it? I am not sure is installing via KDZ does this automatically, if yes then probably it won't fix it. I hope LG fixes these and other small bugs soon...
I was already with this problem on kitkat, i updated kt to see if the problem was gone, but no its still here.. I didnt tried hard reset yet

I have the same problem. Got 5.0.2 OTA update. After reboot the phone resets display timeout to 15 secs, turns on location GPS, and asks if I would like to use mobile data or Wi-Fi.
Same problem with me too.
Date format changes to 24 hours, GPS is turned on, Mobile data turns on, A window pops up to select if I want to turn off mobile data and my prepaid balance reduces after I choose to turn off data. Hoping for update from LG or anyone here coming up some sort of trick without rooting the phone.
Tutorial by @Andruxa666777 (translated by Google):
Take I've found Attached File com.android.providers.settings.apk (41.02 KB)
We throw it on the way ROOT EXPLORERom cust / OPEN_CIS / overlay / app / agree with the replacement and set right as all the files in that folder (rw-r - r--) All.
PS. Window with a mobile data always appears! But the setting is stored there stands before restarting, that is, if the data were mob OFF, the window will also be OFF.
