Gallery

I do not like the new gallery in ICS. Is it possible to revert to the old style gallery?

I uninstalled mines and use this instead:
QuickPic

One of the first things I do with a new rom is delete Gallery and install Quickpic, which is 264388x better.

What rom u guys using? CM9 and peters roms are hybrid of official and sdk gallery is slow and scrolling is not smooth compared to roms build purely off official release

I'm running vhgomez's 1.3 at the moment, but it doesn't really matter. Google gallery has been outdone by Quickpic since the early gb roms.

Just disabled the stock gallery and installed Quickpic. Yeah, its alot better. Thanks for this

has anyone the apk of the gallery of the first drew garen's beta sdk roms?It was a particular gallery 3D (not the same of froyo-gingerbread one) ...

If you still have your sdk rom zip, you can extract the apk and try to install will the new rom.

just now i have found the sdk rom and have extracted the apk ("GalleryNew3DGoogle")...but it doesn't install!

U have to use adb and push to system/app/

Use Root Explorer or ES File Explorer Free to copy the apk, navigate to System/App, mount as RW, paste the apk, set permissions, then reboot.
If it doesn't work after that, then the app probably needs specific framework structure found in the original rom. Some MIUI apps are like this and won't work with other roms.

The only problem with quickpic is that it will not sync with Google account. The stock ICS gallery is poop! Quickpic is awesome no doubt, but it could be better.

Why Android is not supporting any .gif animation file.
Is there any solution..?

Maybe with emulators or some apks

QuickPic gallery supports .gif files but this function is still in beta version.

Get it from any stock based custom rom with gallery 3d (just browse the zip file, you'll see it). Place it in system/app with rw-r-r permissions and reboot.
Dunno if that app works on cm based roms though l.

Youtube does not work on CM10.1

Hi , I have a concern, I just put CM10.1, I have flashed the gapps, but youtube is not in the store, and is not comaptible if I install it from the web.
I have the bug Apk (cm10.1 ..), the shots I can not install YT, someone that cares? thank you

Must be a region thing. Cos I downloaded YouTube from the play store. And everything works fine. Did you flash the 03012013 gapps for 4.2.2?

Well, not all of us experience the bug of not being able to install apks in the cm nightly.
May I suggest flashing a zip with youtube apk in it?
