You might wanna try another usb cable or another charger. Just in case one of them is broken. I had that a while ago and discovered that it was my cable. Good luck,
I sometimes have the same issue. I wake up in the morning just to find out that my HTC one hasn't charged although the charger is connected and the led is red.
Try this:
Try resetting the charging mode like this:
1. Turn phone OFF
2. Let charge for AT LEAST 10mins even if it doesn't look like it's charging
3. Press and hold POWER + VOL UP + VOL DOWN for AT LEAST 2mins. Anything less will not reset the charge mode.
4. After 2mins release the buttons and the phone should boot as normal.
re
sry guzzz ....nothing is working ...only red blinking light and after sometime a fade light battery icon comes n light becomes solid but it don't turn on thn......and after sometime blinking start again.....
Actually you phone's battery went down to the lowest level. You need to charge it for more than 4hrs.
When my ph switches off due to low battery and stays off for long time, then when i plugs charger, red led starts blinking for some time. After that it goes solid

So, do 1 thing. Take a transparent plastic box and pour rice in it and put ur phone in that box in that way so that your phone is covered by rice from all sides. Close the box from the top tightly.
Stay the phone in it for overnight. Next morning, take out your phone and plug the charger and check.
Actually, i read on gsmarena that water damaged phone can easily restore with the help of rice because rice soaks the water from phone.

Or put Rice in a plastic bag with Phone and seal the bag works too

Here's how I fixed my phone with the same issue after I left mine outside in the rain. I tried this:
No luck here. So finally I did this.
1. Took back cover off very carefully.
2. Unscrew battery screws from motherboard. There's only 2
3.. cleaned all connectors from battery.
4. Screwed it back together.
Now my battery charges correctly.
Recalibrated battery. So far all is good.

Hey Guys,
Before going to sleep last night I connected my Xperia 1 with the original SE Charger. Today it doesn't do anything.
I already removed the battery for a few minutes and tried the battery of a friend's X1. But it still doesn't boot.
Any ideas?
Is there a red light by the power button when you try to charge it?
no there isn't even a red light
maybe try taking battery out, charging the phone itself for about 15 minutes. then after that, put the battery in again to try to power it up.
when you charge the phone without the battery, the red light on the power button should be turned on. if not, i'm guessing there might be a possible short circuit.
IF it is a short circuit in your phone, then you will have to send it back to sony ericsson to get it fixed.
same problem

Good morning friends. I too had the same problem. the phone wont start up in the morning.... However, after 3 hours, i tried connecting the phone to the charger and then pressed the power button,,, to my surprise the phone started up. But, the battery is completely drained and its at level 0. I wonder how does this happen. I have kept the phone for charging for whole night but the charge remains 0. I doubt the battery. can any one help?

No brother, i charged through sony ericsson original charger. However, i was doing the same since i bought it.... But it was a one time go and after that this issue didnt turned back. The small remedy for this is take out the battery and, press and hold the power button to drain the static charges present in the circuits of the phone(These static charges are formed due to regular use of phone without soft resetting it(once in every two days)) . Once the phone is free from static charges wait for some time and then put on the battery in the phone and then try to turn on the phone... Believe me, it worked... This is not a phone for me... its a mini laptop integrated to a phone.
There are several threads about this. Search for the "xperia broken red light under the power buttonb" thread, it is very good and has many solutions.

Hey, dunno if some one had the same problem but my xperia doesn't take the charge.
Its appened when the mobile has terminated all his battery, and know the charge is not accepted by the phone
help me please
Something perhaps similar happened to me, i ran my battery completely flat and then could not switch the phone on even when it was on the charger. So I left it on the charger for ~1 hour and then it switched on fine! The other possibility is that you battery is dead. Hope this helps!
Its not the first time its appened to me, and the first time i had the problem i try a lot of time to recharge it, take out the battery, replace it etc.. and its worked.
But in 2 days, my phone is off :/
My battery is not dead i know, but how to recharge it
I have 2 computers from which I load it with usb cable. For some reason Mac Pro doesn't load the damn phone but Macbook does.
Try switching your "power" source. And sometimes when the battery goes really flat it needs many hours to even boot when loading up. One time I really thought the damn thing was dead for sure... But it came back to life
When you press the power button there's a red light next to volume buttons indicating it doesn't have enough power yet to boot up. If there's no red light then it's not charging at all.

Just leave if plugged-in and it will charge. It takes some time before it will charge if it is fully drained.
Ok thanks for reply
Have no real solution, but have the red light near to the volume button, or in the top of the phone.
But the phone doesn't take the charge at all...
The red light gave the battery charge, only that... have it sometimes and sometimes havent it...
Help me please
2 day less my phone know..
Ok i dunno why but the phone weak UP !
NICE
Ir was connected to the cpu and i presszs the button and it weak up
omg this phone
(Sort of) got it.
I'm not really an xda developer but id do have an xperia.
The same problem occured to my device about three weeks ago. I've noticed that the phone would still charge in the computer, but not by the power net adapter. (it must be broke i guess)
Today i've locked myself out calling the battery flat. I couldnt get it on anymore. After a lot of hassle this was the solution for me:
1) Connect the phone to a computer. Don't try to turn it on! Leave it there for about 15 minutes.
2) Disconnect the phone and pull out the battery.
3) Hold down the "on" button while inserting the battery back.
-- It should turn on now
4) Release the on button and quickly connect it to your computer again.
Hope this helps.
I just remember the red led lit on at the on/off button and the red light disappeared after 5 mins or so and i left for breakfast while it was still in the charger and by the time im back from breakfast, it turned itself on and was charging up
Hello all!
it is 3 days now.. i have read all the forum but all the things i have read did not solve my issue.
my phone just keeps on showing the red led light when i plug it to the wall charger and also into the computer usb.
i have tried the following with the following results:
1) pressed multiple times VOL+ with Power for one vibration (with wall charger connected) and each time the phone vibrates, led switches of the then reswitches on red
2) pressed multiple times VOL+ with Power (long hold 3 vibrations) and i get the same result as 1
3) tried to long press VOL- and Power as suggested on the sony forum for 8 seconds, leave it to charge for a few hours and then press VOL+ and Power but nothing changes.
When the phone is not attached to the wall and i try to start it i can hear it vibrate one but nothing else happens.
When i try to connect it to PC Companion to format it i just can't get the pc to recognize it.
Any help please?
I really need to resolve this as soon as i can because it is my main phone
Thanks
Keep your phone on the charger for at least 24 hours WITHOUT INTERRUPTION!
After that use flashtool to flash a new ftf

just tried a 28hour without interruption recharge.. i had the red led on all the time but the phone doesn't yet want to switch on.
i have tried removing the battery.. putting it in.. normal switching on.. just vibrates and nothing is seen on screen
also tried to volume up + power till it vibrates but nothing.
cannot connect to the pc btw.. it doesn't seem to see any new device attached
anyway
It can be battery or hardware problem so I would suggest you to take it to warranty service center.
Water damage...
Happens.
Dry your phone.
Inside.
How can you take the battery out???? You have a c6603 yeah??? Virtually impossible to take the the battery out!!! either take it to sony repair centre ,flash with flashtool, repair using either sus or pc companion!! Failing that, don't bother to try to mod ur phone because you obviously have no idea Mate!!
It's quite easy to take out your battery...
All you need is a hairdryer. aim it at the backglass for a while and it'll let loose without to much trouble. It can cost you your water proofness and definitely your warranty though. So I would never advice someone to do it.
Sent from my C6603 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
ok since i was tired of not getting no where with all the suggestions i received i then moved towards another method..
i so opened the phone.. took off the battery.. solder wired it to an external power charger i have and charged both on my batteries to full.. (old battery and new one)
i then placed the battery in phone and:
when i power the device it vibrates and screen remains black with no red led
when i volume up + power the devices the stay stays black but the red led magically appears..
what can i do now? knowing that the battery is FULL and that the problem should not be that anymore
Remove battery again so your phone is definitely off, re-insert your battery (don't turn it on) and connect to your pc in fastboot mode. Flash stock kernel and try to boot. If that doesn't work shut your phone down again, and than just flash firmware using flashtool.

I hate making new threads but I just had to:
Okay so first my problem:is that the phone is dead. I used it till it drained and now it refuses to start. The red light comes on but battery does not seem to charge fast enough and once it acquires the minimal charge, it spontaneously reboots and wastes that battery. Then I am back to square one. This keeps on happening. It has become really annoying.
I have read many threads. Actually I spent the last two hours or so trying various things. So if someone can tell me a solution, it would be great!
Any help is appreciated because I am helpless right now.
The first thing to do/try is to charge it for at least 24hs without touching it, just let it charge. Then try to turn it on.

I tried. It charges a little and it turns itself on and burns out the charge. But I fixed it! After a lot of time!
Thank you for your interest. I will hit thanks later since I am on my limit.

I've got this exact problem and I've tried all the 'fixes' google has to offer and none work. When I plug it in to charge no light comes on the only way to get it to charge is to hold VOL UP while pressing the Power button. You then have to hold the power button down to keep the charging light lit. However, once it has enough juice to boot it does just that (because the power button is held I guess) It boots all the way into Android and then shuts down because it does not have enough power (and isn't detecting the USB power).
How did you fix yours?
EDIT: FYI My Xperia T has not been rooted and is running the latest official firmware 4.3.

OK I've tried that and it's still not charging (no red light). The battery is definitely flat as I get no lights at all when pressing the power button without it being connected to power. I can only get the power light to come on by holding the power button. It's been sat here connected to the charger for 2 hours. Going to try the rubber band trick again (holding the power button down).
2 hours charging is definitely not long enough. Just let it charge for 24 hours and don't mess with it in the mean time.

OK I got the usual power up and instant power down because of low power. However I've banded the power button and the Vol Up buttons and it appears to be accepting charge without starting the phone. I'm going to leave it charge overnight hopefully it wont continuously boot cycle... Balls as I wrote this it had been charging for the longest time yet (about 40 mins) still not enough to get ti to boot android without instantly shutting down

It did charge for 24Hours no change, so then I tried (as advised elsewhere) to charge it again this time I waited 2 hours expecting the red light to come on but nothing...
The advice was charge for 24hours - no light shows as the battery is now discharging. The battery was totally flat this afternoon (no blinking lights when pressing power). Then disconnect the power and try and charge it, it should now show it's charging but it never did, maybe I should have waited longer.

OK the final 'fix' I found while googling this was to take the back off and disconnect the battery. This seems to have worked immediately my phone showed a red light and then booted up showing the battery charging symbol on screen - a welcome sight!
The audio jack broke so I sent it for warranty repair to get replaced, which they did. I got the phone back yesterday, couldn't boot it up, completely dead. Stuck it in the charger, red led, low battery charging icon goes on. Few seconds later it goes all dark, then shows the red light and the battery icon again and repeats forever. It sat like that for the past 20 hours with no change. I tried the volume up power button combo, nothing. I pressed the yellow button next to SIM card and 3 vibrates (only worked when it was connected to the charger), then we're back to the same red light charging icon deal. This time I could take the charger off and the low battery icon would display afterwards too, though. After that the volume up power button combo worked and 3 vibrates but the same red light battery icon thing persists.
Tried connecting it to a PC as well, before the resetting business it did absolutely nothing. After, windows says the phone has been connected, the phone displays green light for a fraction of a second, then changes red and it's just dark after that. PC Companion does not recognize the phone.
Do I just send it right back for another repair or what?
What was the point of the repair? :|

Yes, I would say so. I had a "sudden death" problem with mine not long ago. Sent it to Sony and they replaced the battery.
Same thing happened to mine, change the battery would fix this?

Yes
Do we have a more comprehensive thread on this "sudden death" / wont boot / wont charge issue?
I've added some notes / questions on page 34 of the help thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3/help/sony-xperia-z3-help-thread-t3164306/page34
NB will charge if you first remove and externally charge the battery
Then with Z3 on charge, connect the battery, will get orange or green led and charging led display. But still wont boot
