I have SPRINT HTC ONE M8, unlocked for GSM network in Croatia, Europe. Stock ROM.
Ever since day 1 I am having data connectivity issues; sudden drop of mobile data connection for couple of minutes every now and then. If I am not mistaken it was a big series bug on SPRINT HTC ONE M8 phones which was quickly addresed by Sprint via the software update. I can download the software update (I couldn't do it on a custom ROM) but I can not install it, I get a message saying; "The operation is not allow under GSM network, please switch to CDMA network".
Does anyone have experience with similiar mobile data issues?
Will any other custom ROM sort this thing out?
Many thanks

I think I found a bug in this new rom 6.1 -tested on Australian & SEA (South East Asia) version.
I am using push email and set to turn off the sync when I am in roaming since I am using Australia Hutch 3 network.
However the sync keeps get connected while I am roaming.
Normally this was not happening while I was still using the old WM 6.0 rom, while roaming automatically the sync stopped and resume when it went back to 3 broadband area. This is really annoying because 3 network is charging high roaming price.
In addition there is no 'triangle' icon anymore while I am in roaming.
There is 'roaming' text written on the screen but I think it is more like a label rather than the phone think that is now a roaming network.
May be this is why 'activesync' thinks that the phone is not roaming and keeps get connected.
Back in WM 6.0 the 'triangle' icon was there.
I also use the HTC weather and choose NOT to do download while roaming under option setting BUT the update still went through when I was roaming.
I thought only happen to activesync as I previously mentioned however this roaming issue happen accross all program now.
Definitely this new ROM doesn't understand when the phone is on roaming network. All data still went through. It is a bug that has to be fixed otherwise people will get unexpected high roaming charges.
Anyone got a workaround for this issue please let me know. I really appreciate it. I also would like to know if you have updated your phone to WM6.1 and also experiencing the same issue while roaming. I have tested WM6.1 Australian Hutch 3 version & also tested with South East Asia version. Both are having the same issue. I wonder if this happens accross all WM6.1
FYI, Hutch 3 Australia is using roaming for their GSM network and charges more for data download. Their 3G/ HSDPA only covers inner city/ CBD area and if you commute between GSM & 3G coverage your phone will switch between 'home' and 'roaming' all the time.
HTC ROM 6.1 backgrade to HTC 6.0?
How can I go back to the original ROM once updated to 6.1 version? This version is a complete ****!
Thank you
Anyone else having issues with network on AT&T and HTC One? A friend from work and myself are both experiencing the same issues. Our apps that hook to the internet seem to get stuck waiting for a connection. This morning my phone sat buffering every 30 sec or so even though I was on 3 bars and 4G LTE displayed. My only reason for the question is that we both started having the issue last Friday and both on Wifi and Mobile Data. Was something updated? Others out there with the same issue or is it just us
This isn't normal...
In which base you're are?
Anh, your One is branded AT&T or no-brand?

My phone will not use 4G (HSPA+ or 3G) at my work indoors and favours 2G. My HTC Sensation could be made to use 3G by cycling the radio off/on - but this HTC One is not able to get any 3G plus. I assume this is not a ROM issue as it behaved exactly the same on the original US T-mobile ROM build. Just outside the building (and always at home) I get 4G (not LTE but T-mobile HSPA) speeds (slow here at around 4-6Mbps).
I know that settings can be changed to make the radio favour 3g/4G etc (even if a poor signal) but can anyone help here. I can sit the HTC One right next to the Sensation and the Sensation will show 3G with 1-2 bars and the One will show 4-5 bars with 2G! (and very poor data rates on the HTC One as you'd expect).
I am on a US T-Mobile model on 10.1 ROM with new radio (4A.16.3250.24_10.38.1150.03.zip) - VERY impressed.

Hey Mate,
I was also facing same kind of wiered issue, I am on Developer edition and In India and initially Was not not able to connect to any 2G network. I tried everything from Custom ROM to STOCK ROM, Radio, SIM card change, orperator change etc.... but mothing worked. I was only able to connect to 3G networks.
Today finally I S-OFF'ed my ONE and after that it's connecting to 2G and 3G both networks. I think there is something related with security.
Try to S-OFF !!

Thanks - but I can get 3G and 2G signals now. It is just that the phone seems to significantly favour the stronger 2G (more stable) connection even though a low signal strength 3G connection can be achieved (as shown on my Sensation). I do not want to try S-off just yet as that should really only allow the changing of H-boot and radio firmware etc. I have never read anything that indicates that S-Off can improve a given (un-changed) radio. It is this method I want to try first - I am already on the .24 radio but that made no changes.
I do know that it is possible to access a hidden (HTC Engineer?) radio menu by typing a series of numbers and hash (#) symbols into the phone dialler - that reveals a menu in which (I believe) you can change the priority of network selection.
It could, of course, just be that the HTC sensation radio hardware is better than the HTC One - I hope not.

Hi,
I have an HTC One M7 with it's original Vodaphone ROM (UK, vodap102)
Everything was ok but about 2 days ago suddenly it lost it's cellular network.
from time to time it connects but looses it again the moment i try to enable mobile data.
I have tried to reboot, factory reset, tried different SIM cards (from same company) but nothing.
when i go to network operators sometimes it can't find anything but sometimes it finds all the networks around. when i try to connect to my network it tells me it "Your SIM card does not allow a connection to this network"
I had a firmware update as well (sense 6) but after the update was no change.
Is there anything else i can do?
P.S.
The phone is with unlocked bootloader, S-on and is being used in a different country, not in UK. as i said, it worked perfect for about a year in the same cellular network
Please asist, Thanks.
A little update...
If i choose 2G only, it works fine. but only in this mode.
any suggestions what might it be and how to solve it?
Hello Everyone
I have HTC M8 Sprint 831c US unlocked mobile, recently i have updated my Device with Marshmallow. My mobile got some network issue, sometime i can not make a call and sometime my device is unreachable when device got full range. I have also WiFi / Bluetooth issues, I got weak signals. Please help me ......
Even I'm facing the this issue. However, not with Wifi/bluetooth.
I'm generally getting this issue when the network Icon shows 3G.
For now i have switched my network mode to GSM only from *#*#4636#*#* and am able to solve the issues. Still looking for the 3G fix.
Am testing a couple of things and will update if any of those works.
Meanwhile, check in this thread and see if all your band are unlocked.
