Brightness slider in statusbar? - Xperia Z2 Themes and Apps

Hey guys,
is it possible to get the brightness slider in the status bar?
I was only able to find this thread where a similar mod is described for the Xperia Z.
I got root and CWM 6.0.5.0 on my Z2.
But locked bootloader.

Try Xposed Xperia by serajr.
In latest version (v.3), you can add sliders tab and something similar...
Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk

Best is Gravity Box (KK), this is module, so You must have Xposed Installer and installed Xposed framework.
In statusbar options is swipe brightness function, just swipe from left to right for brightness

Now i tried xposed with xperia V Mods.
But i didnt want to test the v3 because it is in beta status and wasnt offered to me in the framework app. There only was the v2.6.1
With this version i am only able to change a few for me unimportant options.
So im going to try the other proposals.
But thank you anyway

Yes, work fine

Since i've installed the framework and gravity box, i noticed a very high battery drain.
Before the installation it was easy for me to use the phone 2 days. Even because the drain over night has been nearly 0-1%.
Now the battery lasts only 1 day and loses 12-13% in the night.
In the gravity box i only changed these options:
- Brightness slider on taskbar
- flashlight on lockscreen by volume key
- flashlight by long pressing recent apps softkey
- long press back softkey to force close an app
- skip track by long pressing volume key in stdby
- CRT shutdown animation
I would like to remove gravity box, xposed and framework. To proof whether the drain comes from this stuff, or from something else.
Can i simply uninstall those apps oder do i have to reset something?

you can deactivate them from xposed app. if you want to completely remove them you can uninstall directly. nothing special.

Battery drain? I have Xposed with Gravity Box and more modules and my battery is fine.

Yes, this is the experience i made...
When i uninstalled xposed and gravity box, my battery was back in old behaviour.
And of course, yes, i rebooted everytime i installed the xposed or gravity box.
Now i'm using Lux auto and i'm satisfied

use Xoẻia xposed kk v3.0 & 3.1 or use gravitybox

Gravity Box is a great app I use this myself on stock software and rooted. I have the option set to slide my status bar for the brightness, also have you seen the screen off effect called 'CRT' that's cool ?

I just share to make your Xperia T/TX/GX into full screen mode (Your Device MUST be ROOTED)
First, The apps is not written by me, I just share the apps and the link
Second, I just share my experience on this "If make your device burnt, don't find me!!! ha XD"
To hide your Virtual Button, you need to install the "Full Screen Toggle V2" which come from the Galaxy Nexus
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1497558
Thanks to mrx8836350
But Before you active this Apps, you need to use another apps to make you can press "back , Home, etc...buttons"
So that you need to install the "GN LMT V1.5"
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1330150
Thanks to noname81
The Full Steps (Root your device before start the following steps)
1) Install GN LMT
2) Config the GN LMT, you need to set your Device to "2" from the GN LMT Setting, after that, you assign the action on pie or gestures
"If your gestures is not work, please double confirm you had choose the Device to "2" , from the GN LMT Setting"
3) Test the GN LMT is work or not
4) If work, please make the GN LMT auto start from the GN LMT Setting
5) Install Full Screen Toggle V2 "Must be V2", after that active the Full Screen Toggle
6) Reboot your phone, after that the soft button will disappear and you got the 4.55" full screen

Thanks, works great on my T running Curiosity 1.2. Every mm counts on these phones!
My fault... I didn't set the mode to "pie"...
thanks for share
Thanks for this. I'm planning to upgrade to a T very soon and this will be very useful.
However..
I think I may be able to do one better and put these keys in the drop-down notification screen. Which means no extra app's, just a bit of modding.
But I'll need someone to test it on..

It'll be in a flashable zip (if I can actually do it!).
I use the Universal Flashing Tool which automatically generates a backup. Very handy for trying out mod's!

I haven't had a chance to work on this yet, but that's a good point. I can probably put the back button in the statusbar but the full-screen issue is a good point. There's not much I can do about that. The camera button can probably be remapped so that's the home button, but that's a bit impractical.
You can always exit games without the home and back buttons anyway

Hello Fish,
Finally I can modify the Navigator Button Size by myself
I search many post, no one can tell me how to solve the aapt bammi issue
After a long long search, I found a post said, if aapt not work then bababababa...
The method is, build the unchange version of the framework-res.apk first
after that, modify the res/dimens, then build the modified version
Extract resources.arsc from both unchange / modified framework-res.apk
use the Binary different software to compare which address value is different
After locate the address, and modify the original framework-res / resources.arsc
But the address is not the same, but the pattern is almost the same, so need to search
Use Hexeditor to edit the value which you want "you changed"
Then put back the resources.arsc to the org. framework-res.apk
Then finish~~~~~
PS: modify the Hex address, call up my memory of playing Nitendo to modify the save file or even crack the PC games password ...ha...

Xposed Framework on S4 Active

I just tested Nottach Xposed on the (rooted) active (Thanks Geohot!!!) for science, and I was able to remove the NFC and Smart Stay icons without any issues, so I would assume the majority of the other functions work as well. You will recieve a warning message stating the device is not compatible, but just ignore it.
To install the mod, please visit the following threads in order:
Framework (rovo89) - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574401
Mod (Nottach) - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2285074
TL;DR (joshuadjohnson22):
1. Install the APK from here
a. Download XposedInstaller.apk and install it
b. Launch the Xposed Installer and click on "Install/Update"
c. Reboot
2. Install the APK from here
3. Enable the module in Xposed

Nope didn't try that. Not a feature I need so I disabled
So far mods that work with the Xposed/nottach install:
Custum carrier on lockscreen and status bar.
Tap clock for apo (clock)
Change battery icon
Hide "select input method" for kb
Hide emegency call button on lockscreen
Most color/font/size changes (all that I have tried)
Really great mod for customizations.

Which Xposed modules do you use?

I took the OTA and rooted my phone. So far I have 'G2 tweaksbox' and 'Complete action plus'. I used Tweaksbox to reduce navbar height and get the recent apps button, but other than that most of it is just color tweaks.
Since I'm new to Xposed, I'm asking for some recommendations.

They are free in the store with limited options enabled, both have in app purchases for $1 to open up all features. I've been leaning towards G2 Tweakbox myself.
I like G2 Xposed. Its a cleaner interface or maybe I'm just used to where stuff is. It also does pretty much everything. Latest update fixed navbar height.
Its all I use. I also have a Verizon G2 Xposed thread that pretty much encompasses this thread.

G2 Xposed, G2 Tweakbox, App Settings, SwipeBack, Greenify, RootCloak. Tinted Status Bar once G2 Tweakbox fixes the nav bar button colors when using it, since I like the amount of control it provides over G2 Xposed's very user friendly but less tweakable implementation.

Currently using G2Xposed (unpaid) specifically to disable the usb and headset animations that LG adds. I also use Gravity Box (KK) for the Statusbar tweaks. I'm unable to change the lockscreen from the LG vendor version and was hoping that either G2Xposed or Gravity Box would help add some customization, but not much works on that front without an AOSP lockscreen. Also note that the Gravity Box guys don't recommend installing it with a custom ROM like Cyanogen, but I am currently running Malladus with no issues.
- G2 xposed - to remove unwanted icons and notifications. Mainly because I love the bleed immersive feature.

If nothing else use your volume down button until you get it sorted out.

I personally have not had this issue. Did you do a clean install or a dirty install over m preview? Might just be a snafu. Personally I would start off with clean install and see if that resolved it.

No, I didn't do a clean install I dont have the time for it for installing and setting up everything from scratch. So I know it could be the cause but still interesting that there is no way to get silent mode. Useing the voluke buttons gives me only vibra mode. So I thunk no solution, silent mode just disappeared for good

When you find some time to do a clean install, everything is there.

The 'silent mode' is called Do Not Disturb and it's right here:

From the screenshot I can see that you have System UI Tuner activated (see the wrench symbol next to the Settings icon?).
Did you mess around with System UI Tuner by any chance?
If so, open Settings > System UI Tuner > Quick settings > Add tile.
Yes systen ui is activated. But i didn't do anything with it, I didnt disabled the dnd/silent fuction. As you can see in the picture below the system ui shows silent mode activeted

Sure that you're running Google's stock ROM?
1. There is no "silent" quick settings tile (and definitely not starting with a small "s" like in your screenshot - the names of all tiles start with a capital letter) in the stock ROM. Instead there is a "Do not disturb" tile.
2. The quick settings background colour in your screenshots is lighter/different from that of Google's stock ROM.
Which ROM did you actually install on your device?

Its a 100% stock rom. I am just useing layers manager and thanks to the native support of rro in android m (and also enabled, not like in lollipop) you can easily theme your phone. It has nothing to do with the toggles. The only slight difference between my rom and stock rom that i am rooted, hence needed a modded kernel, for this i am useing this kernel which is slightly modifed: http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6/development/kernel-stock-kernel-root-color-control-t3218958
Everything else stock

I see. Something must be affecting that tile though - an app, the layers manager, the modified kernel, or something else.

oh no, not another AOSP ROM,
but this ist actual the best AOSP Rom for the Redmi Note 2.
1. Multilanguage, Camera and LED notification work fine. Vibrate on touch is not working, but vibrate on notifications are working fine.
Battery is not better then on other AOSP Roms, and far away from MIUI.
2. Not the pesky 3G , G and H symbols , these are reasonable in reception symbol with inside ->

3. Xposed is pre installed, you don´t need to flash self
4. very less Bloatware, where nothing disturbs you
5. The download speed display is finally gone and you can take advantage of Gravitybox (significantly smaller)
6. The display " flickers " no longer ( like other AOSP Roms)

camera and LED notification work
Battery is not better then on other AOSP Roms.

The Main Camera works fine with this rom. I tested it over the day and the only issue i found was battery life (again). You will make it through a day, but Idle takes a lot of battery (compared to original MIUI). So if you hate MIUI as much as i do, than you may have to charge your phone once a day, even with a SOT of only 2h, but if you can live with MIUI, you should wait a few more days (or weeks). I will flash non MIUI Roms until i found one with great battery life and without anoying stuff.
Edit: I believe I've found the reason for the bad battery life. The phone doesn't enter deep sleep and is always awake. I will try to reflash the rom, maybe I can solve this problem that way.

But just works with one color or it has a menu to configure them?

There is no menu to configure them, but you could download one of the many apps from the playstore or even from xda. Whatsapp, for example, has its own led light configuration and that works. For me normal chat messages are white and groupmessages are blue and both works.
The battery issue seems to be gone. After wiping the dalvik and cache again (first wiped, after flashing the rom), it seems, that the phone enters the deepsleep normaly and the battery doesn't drain as fast, as it did before. I'll look how much battery i will loose tomorrow, but i think, that this rom is the best out there to avoid MIUI
Is audio over Bluetooth and voice calls on speaker working fine?

Audio over Bluetooth works and voice calls on every speaker (including speaker over bluetooth) works fine as well. I will try to remove the bloatware of the zip tomorrow, so if you can wait, you will get a clean rom for flashing
You just have to flash the zip and gapps and your phone will be MIUI free, without any noticeable bugs (HDR is not working, but i dont use it, so not noticeable for me )
Flash this ROM..
Better than other from my perpective...
but why vibration still not working for me? already turned on "Vibrate on Touch" but still nothing?
did anyone have this same issue? any solution? or there is a trick?
Gapps inclided or not?

confirmed
Vibrate on touch is not working, but vibrate on notifications are working fine.
Battery life is ok for now (been using it for 4 hours since full charge, 87% left).
Camera is working fine.
Antutu scored 45k+.
Just one thing that bugs me is the center clock, as I am unable to remove it. Using gravity box, I can move it to the right, but then it overlapps user selection on the lockscreen. Any ideas?
how to flash?wipe cache,data,dalvik,and system?
I think there arent any gapps. When i installed it, none gapps were installed.
