Evening, folks. Yesterday i get my phone from the recharger and it doens't boot, suddenly a green light appears on the top...
Did i broke it? Can i fix with some boot config, or something? I hope this isn't some 'new we don't know how to work it' error...
Thanks in advance.
A green light on top means your battery is completly dead. I would try a different charger or cable.

Forgive me for this but have you tried taking the battery out up to overnight range and put it back in to see if it lights up?
Thank you, but yes I have tryed another good battery.
Hello,
I tryed for many times plug and unplug battery and now when I conect charger it is lightning red light, but when I tryed push power on button it stop lightning.
Have you any solution?
This happened to me
I'm afraid its probably dead -- you'll need to send it in for service.
Mine was within warranty, so it was fixed by HTC. They replaced the motherboard.
I think in slovak republic ist htc service and I dont have it with warranty, that I cant send it.
but now is lightning red light until I press power button

You can still send it for repair even if it's out of warranty -- they'll just charge you for the repair.
Yes I know, but its too expensive, like new Kaiser, that this is no solution, and is alive if is light only red? but only until I push power button?
So you mean u cant start it at all?
Not even the screen flashes on then off?
try taking out ur sim card and Memory card to see maybe those might be problems.
I really don't know what the problem is.
Sorry I can't be any more help.
Helo,
Yes I do it, but only when I plug charger, only RED light but nothing more.
Is there some fuse or another part?
Hi,
Now I know what happend. Pda take full 12V from car charger, and have someone scheme about feed part?
But I cant send it to service.
Recently I have bought a used X1. One day, when the battery died, after charging it, a screen with 4 colour bars appeared (red, green, blue and white). There are also some signs on the screen:
KOVS110
SPL-0.72.01iNex
MicroP1-787
MicroP2-707.
On the bottom on the screen it says "Serial".
I cannot pass through this screen to get to use my phone as always. I tried to google this on the net but found some unrelated ROM-topics that didn't help me anyway, as I'm green as grass in these things.
Any ideas what to do? Thanks in advance for your help.
This might help. Disconnect the USB cable, remove the battery, then replace it and turn on the phone. As long as there is no problem, it should boot normally. But, the phone doesn't go into boot loader on it's own usually.
Well, that didn't help. Btw, what did you mean: "disconnect usb cable"? My phone wasn't in any way connected to a PC.
have you tried a hardreset?
So I used to have a G1 until last year, then I gave it to my friend. My friend returned it in broken. Seems like she dropped it a lot. [typical drunk college freshman ]
Anyways, I had an engineering SPL, recovery flashed, and biffmod or superd [wow brings back memories] on the phone.
The phone won't even boot. I press the power button, no LED backlight. I plug it in, no charging LED. I changed batteries, nothing. Can't get into bootloader/fastboot/adb/recovery.
Is this a brick that can be repaired or am I SOL?
Does it even come on?
It does not come on.
So you are saying camera+power, home+power, etc... will not take you anywhere?
What come up when you press those ket sequence?
Like I said, I am unable to boot into fastboot/recovery/normal boot. I don't even see the G1 logo. The LED back light doesn't even turn on.
I thought with a brick you're still able to see the G1 splash screen, so I don't know what to call this.
Looks like you have a black screen. Since you said that your friend drop it constantly it must have broken a wire or something that cause the screen to go black.
Bleh. So much for practicing cooking ROMs with that phone :[ thanks for your help!
Doesn't seem like a JTAG or whatever can fix this issue.
does the light go on when you charge it? or plug in a usb?
could be a dead battery..
From the first post
"The phone won't even boot. I press the power button, no LED backlight. I plug it in, no charging LED. I changed batteries, nothing. Can't get into bootloader/fastboot/adb/recovery."
any other suggestions?
well what im saying is maybe the battery is completely dead... did you try booting while plugged into a charger? lol stupid question mayb but im jus trying to cover all fields before we assume you have a brick
Lol. Like I said, I changed batteries. As in I replaced it with another one.
And yes, I did try booting with it charging, which is why I noticed there's no charging USB

ooo ok... dam that sucks, im not sure what else it could be. unless you dropped the phone a lot lol
Am I able to fix it with a JTAG? or is this kind of brick unfixable?
Any ideas of what is up with my mates phone please?
Also when it is on charge the orange charging indicator comes on but not the screen?
He said it randomly shut off on mid text
Thanks
a drained battery. when the battery is dead on my phone, it displays the same behaviour (red led, vibrates once and doesn't power on).
the orange led is normal when charging. when charging from power-off state, screen will stay off till you turn it on.
tell your friend to fully change the battery

I thought this too mate, I have left it on charge for a bit and then turned it off and it does the same although this time, the buttons at the bottom have decided to light up?
i'm not sure then. maybe a faulty battery? just a wild guess. has he tried a factory reset? is the phone rooted?

The phone isn't rooted, any idea of how to factory reset without being able to see the screen?
The phone works as normal, eg the volume rocker works and the turn on sound, and button lights, but not the screen? :s faulty screen connection maybe?

oops, hit the thanks button by accident
faulty screen sounds like a possibility. i don't know how you would be able to do anything if the screen is not working.
