Hello I was able to get my hands on an ATT Moto X 2014 early and I am wondering if anyone has found a site that has been able to unlock these. I am currently trying Chronic, ideviceguys, and simunlocker.
Anyone?

Hey guys,
Wondering what the best way to unlock a brand new, locked At&t moto x. It should be arriving in the mail today.
Should I go on a site like cellunlocker and purchase a code? Or is there a better way to do it. I am not afraid to root.
Will I still get the OTA updates from At&t if I unlock it? If not, I should probably wait until they push kitkat out for my phone.
I will be comparing this with my current Nexus 5!!! Wish me luck!!!
Hi there!
I recently bought the new Moto X (XT1097) in a local store in Chile.
I will be flying to the US on December 'till March and I'd like to use my phone there.
So, do I need to unlock anything to be able to use my phone in the US? If so, how I check if my Moto X is hard locked? or what should I do? is 3g/4g supported?
Best regards,
Esteban

I'm having the same issue. Not in the US but in Europe. I already tried a new SIM card but the device is locked, and my Chilean carrier won't unlock it. What the hell.
I purchased the 2014 Moto X on Amazon for $.01 since it was a steal, and now I'm trying to unlock the SIM for when I travel overseas (military). By any chance, has anyone else had luck unlocking this version of the Moto X's SIM? I attempted to purchase a code from Unlock Unit and their attempt at retrieving one via AT&T's database was a failure. They gave me the choice to wait another 1-3 days and see if they can pull one from Motorola's database but I'm expecting that to not work as well. I've even called AT&T and explained that I make frequent travels overseas, but I was told that they couldn't do it. If anyone else has a solution then I'm open all ears. Thanks in advance for you guys/gals support!

I'm trying to help a friend unlock an at&t moto x to use on straighttalk. I have unlock two codes purchased from theunlockingcompany.com but neither will unlock the phone. one code matches the at&t supplied code from the person she bought off of on swappa(which I directed her there and thus I feel responsible). My obvious first question to her was if she activated the sim. She hasn't yet. I don't know if that has to be. This is my first trial at sim unlocking. If this is the case, then i'll get her to do that. I've tried using my home wifi and my hotspot via my moto x 2014. I thank you in advance.
I''m planning on trading my PS3 with my friend for his Moto X 2014 AT&T version. My question is would it work on the T-mobile network and which website should I use to get the unlock code.

hey there is this cool new website to help you check if your phone will work with a different carrier http://www.willmyphonework.net/ and from what I know no you cant unlock that phone or root it but it still might work with T-Mobile I have no idea.
Yes, you can unlock your phone to use it on t-mobile network. I use it with tmobile.
You should pay for this, for me was $13, you just need to install an app. Moto x Unlock.
