Hi,
I updated my Moto X to version 4.4.4 and then not work wifi and BT. I tried to reinstall via RSD, I installed a rom, back to 4.4.2, change the files in the folder / persist and still does not work ... If I go to MAC address says "Unavailable". Any solutions? Not to do, unlock the bootloader and therefore, will not have warranty.
Thanks!
Please help me

I have TWRP installed on my unlocked phone so I would do a complete wipe of Dalvik, cache and system and then use the moto x toolkit sideload option to reinstall 4.4.4.
I don't know if you can do this with a locked phone.....

Hey all,
I'm having some trouble flashing TWRP on my phone. I've been following this guide here. When attempting to install TWRP to get root, however, it won't work. I've tried several different versions of fastboot & mfastboot. Sometimes I get a "bootloader variable not found" error, but most of the time now it exits saying it's successful. However, when I reboot into fastboot mode and then into recovery mode, it's still at the stock recovery. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?
If it helps, my unlock status code shown is 3.
Thanks in advance!

Had the same issue, what I did is rsdlite back to stock and then attempt to flash twrp ,it worked.
Also make sure the twrp download is OK, you may want to re download it

Forgot to mention I got the OTA as soon as my phone turned on. So go back to stock, root and then do the OTA?

No, ota won't flash with custom recovery.
Which carrier are you on.
Try a factory reset, you will lose all your data etc, so do a backup on your computer

I didn't think it would... I'm on ATT, with a Dev edition. And no data to backup yet, just got the phone today.
Could you point me to where you got the working .img file?

Here' s the rsdlite thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2446515
I believe on your op you used another thread, that thread has I believe the link for rsdlite
Here's the firmware thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2538394
Prior to setting up rsdlite make sure you have the latest moto device manager and drivers installed. Also open up the sbf file and find the XML file, open it up and delete the line that has getvar in it
I took the camera 4.2 ota and I could not flash twrp either even though my boot loader is unlocked. I won't take any more ota's , I'll just flash the firmware through rsdlite

OK, I'll use rsdlite to get back to stock, and then flash the new firmware, and then see if I can flash the twrp.img. I saw the line about deleting the getvar line, so I'll make sure I do that too... thanks for the help, I'll let you know how it goes.

It worked! It must have been because of the OTA I got immediately... but flashing the correct 4.4 worked (I downloaded it directly from Motorola, since none of those specifically said GSM Dev Edition (turned out to be the T-Mo one). SuperSU works too, now just to install TiBu and be on my merry way!

I think all the firmware files are for either retail or developer editions, anyways glad it worked. I have no idea why this happens with the ota's?

Hey everyone,
When 4.4.2 is released for the X, what do I need to do to upgrade? I have the Verizon DE Moto X stock rooted. I assume I just need to reflash the stock recovery, install the update, reflash TWRP, and flash the root zip. Is that right?
Thanks!

I am in the same situation and I was thinking the same thing. I planned on flashing (through fastboot) the stock recovery from the factory image I downloaded from Motorola, install update, reflash (through fastboot) TWRP, and then let TWRP root when I reboot.
I sure hope it is that easy but for some reason I am thinking it's not. Makes me appreciate my GNex a little more.

You also need to have root removed and any mods with root access removed as well, any system files frozen, deleted must be re-installed

Hey, guys.
I have a Moto X Brazil Retail version.
I unlocked the bootloader, but never installed a custom recovery or rom, I was just curious.
Today, I flashed kitkat 4.4.2 and everything was going fine until I received the notification to update to version to 4.4.3.
After installing the 4.4.3 update, the moto x would just boot up to the flashboot screen, with LOCKED bootloader T_T.
I can't hard reset using any means I know. Can you help me?
Thanks.

what do u mean that u have unlocked the bootloader and now u have bl locked??
from fastboot choose Factory once and then if u get another time fastmode choose another time Factory.
if doesn t work boot into recovery and wipe cache.
He obviously downgraded. He had to have been on 4.4.3 (or higher), unlocked, flashed a custom ROM, decided to go back to stock, and flashed 4.4.2. (downgrade)
That pretty much sum it up?
Everybody PLEASE READ the warnings that downgrade = brick....

I had the same problem, which I previously stated.. But then I did some more searching and found the answer to our problems. http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g-2014/help/request-xt1064-xt1063-nandroid-backup-t2929280 The backup is in this forum if you scroll down. Just flash it the same way you did the other back up. Hope I helped.

Hi Techno,
How exactly did you do it? it's been so long since i used to play with rooting phones. and i found one phone that made me wanna root. Moto E4 plus. after all the steps, now am stucked to TWRP. i tried to flash magisk but still goes back to twrp.
TWRP: twrp-3.2.3-0-nicklaus
instead of: twrp-3.2.3-1-nicklaus, issue file too large
i'm not trying to revert back to original, im still pushing to root the phone. but, im stucked.
what could i possibly have done wrong?
Thanks in advance!
