Hello
I hard bricked my xperia sp while trying to install cm11.
Ive found a solution from a thread regarding the similar issue by using flashtool.
But my problem is I couldnt install the flashtool both in my win7 and 8 laptops.
Ive tried 2 driver installers but they still wouldnt install.
They'd just get installed in a temp folder then would be deleted at the end of the installation process.
Please help.

That is the part of the installation process... Go to C:\flashtool and then launch flashtool from there.

Hey XDA.
For long i have been trying to get a custom ROM for my android, but to be able to do that, i need to unlock bootloarders for my device.
I have been trying for a couple of months now, and everytime i try, i hope that it will work this time... but i always end up quitting, because i always encounter some problem, i cant seem to resovle.
I was wondering if anyone would like to help me through, step by step, until it actually works.
This is what i have tried
- I have entered the system configurator, and it says yes to that my device can be unlocked.
- I have enabled all the developer options descirbed everywhere
- I have downloaded the Android SDK, with the google USB drivers.
- I have gotten my unlock-code from Sony
But everytime i try to follow the steps from Sony, I get an error when coming to install the drivers.
The tutorial says, that when i plug the usb-cable to my computer, i would be prompted to install some drivers... I dont, it automaticly installs something called "S1Boot Fastboot".
Then i enter my device-manager, finds the device, and updates drivers manually from my computer.
But when i point to the downloaded drivers, i get this error:
Windows found a driver-software for your device, but encountered an error while trying to install it.
Windows ADB Interface
The hash for the file is not present in the specified catalogue file. The file is probably corrupt or has been tampered with.
The files i have downloaded are all those Sony told me to download, from the official distributors... I got no idea how to solve this issue!!
Can anybody please help to fix this issue, or guide me through another way that works?
I have given up trying...
Download flashtool, and instal drivers from his directory (flashtool and fastboot) drivers.
Also instal PC Companion, but restart pc after instal (PC Companion also installs drivers)
Also, you might turn of driver signature checking if you are on windows 8.1, google it.

I agree with this. I just did it the other day.
I'm using a Win 8.1 laptop and it was driving me mad. I followed the information regarding changing some of my start up settings on the laptop and flashtool installation of drivers worked. Follow this. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1913245&page=6
In my case i had Flashtool installed, but when i went to install the drivers for my z1 , the windows installer would always fail. After using the information on that page I Linked, it worked straight away!
Good luck .
Thanks alot!
Thank you very much guys, that was just what i missed!
Glad you finally got it!

What's the error message you are getting?
Have you tried another pc? Some user had the problem of a not connectable phone and solved the problem by using another pc.
so, you cannot enter into recovery mode, is that right?

error- flashing
I try another pc but always the same.

I've flashed my Huashan Xperia SP (C5302) through fastboot... and with a custom kernel (.elf).
As a result- I got the CWM Based recovery version 6.0.3.2---- I became happy..
But when I went to install zip then, I faced everytime "status 7" error..{Even I tried 3 different CM 13 ROM}
I tried to fix it after going through the articles online.... then it I faced "error 6"
I tried a long time to fix that anyway... But I could'nt
I deiced to repair my software with SONY pc companion, but here mainly two problems what are irritating me... alike- driver problem(when I connect my device to pc then it finding out the driver for Huashan and windows update), blue light problem (we all know in the fastboot mode the niddle notificatin led lit blue, but it lit green) please!! any one help me to solve these problem... or lead me, what should I do?
The problem you're facing, that of unable to install the CM13 zip might been due to the zip update-binary being incompatible with the old recovery you are using.
You are advised to start over with official TWRP, located in the device Original Development subforum.

If you are still stuck with your problem of drivers, you may use DoomLord's Xperia Drivers pack: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2635830
thank you ☺ and also thank the post..... I already solved my problem....

I saw one of the driver failed to installed, if it not related with flash mode driver then let it be...that driver you install from flashtool by androxyde?
If yes the driver should not be the problem anymore..
I use driver from flashtool too located at disk C/flashtool/driver...it install successfully without any problem..
May i know what's your phone condition before you start flashing? Is it working fine before?
One more..try using another usb port too..

Hi, I'm having issues with XZ2 Drivers.
I'm a noobie trying to do a wipe of my phone back to stock, using Newflasher and Xperifirm.
When I try to flash with Newflasher, I get the "Incorrect function" error, and from what I've read from previous posts on the newflasher thread, it is because I am missing drivers.
The issue is, there are no drivers that I can find that work with the phone when I try to install them, and zadig can't put in custom USB drivers in for me.
I've tried installing gordongate drivers, but they don't seem to work.
My phone model is H8216.
Any help will be appreciated

After a couple of days of attempts, I have achieved a successful flash.
Unfortunately, another problem arose.
When I load into stock firmware, I'm only allowed to make emergency calls, and there's text on the bottom of the screen that says: "Simcard is Locked".
Does anyone know why that might be?
I was using Xiaomi USB Drive it was working fine but after a few flashing files for my Redmi note 9, my pc was not able to recognize my device. Then I have installed the latest Mi USB drive that is still working fine so if you want to download drives so you can also download from here. I hope it will help you out! also, you can download the latest Fastboot file from Mi.com
