Hi everyone, I'm new here. Don't know how to navigate around this forum but hope I'm in the right place?
I've had my MOTO X for 3 weeks now and having trouble with emoticons/emoji. How on earth do you send them on text? I've downloaded from the playstore, gone into settings, activated emoji keyboard but still I can't send them via text. I've just left iPhone and still learning. Am I doing something wrong?

You know the return key on the Google keyboard? Hold that down for a couple of seconds, then a small popup window will allow you to drag your finger to the "emoji" symbol

Anyone know how to change the message center number on a Moto X?
I have an AT&T Moto X that I ported to straight talk. Everything ported fine for phone calls, data and MMS. However I can't send or receive SMS.
ST said I need to double-check the message center number and gave me the number that it should be...I just can't find a way to check it on a Moto X. Past Android phones had this option under messaging settings, and the *#*#4636#*#* trick that worked on other phones doesn't work either.

Thanks for the sarcasm, I already posted that the option is not under Messaging settings. I have an AT&T Moto X, so it's possible that T-Mobile versions enable it but my guess is that documentation is wrong.
For anyone else in the same boat as me, GoSMS has an option under Advanced settings to change the SMSC if you need to.
In any case my Moto X started sending and receiving texts 6 hours or so after the number port to Straight Talk went through. Just had to wait.

I have a Developer Edition (same model as the "T-Mobile" version) and there's no such option in the messaging app settings.

Are you in the middle / at the end of a carrier port? In my case AT&T was holding onto my texts and didn't release them until the next day.

Hi! I confirmed from my service provider and they mentioned that this is normal (48hr at max to set sms and service). Only had they confirmed on my 1st call.
Yes i ported and at the time i post this comment,it will be 24 hours.
Note: Have ported before but sms was working right frm the start. This is the first time i went from a normal sim to nano sim.
And thanks for affirmation.
Hi.... In my Moto X, when I click on the phone icon I think it used to take me straight to the dial-pad where I could dial a number. Now, it takes me to the recently called lists... no dial-pad whatsoever.
It's the Verizon Moto X.
Does anyone know if there's a way to set it so it defaults to the actual dial-pad again instead of the recently contacted lists?
Thank you

Ever since WhatsApp was bought by the horrible spam company that Facebook is, I've decided to give LINE App a go. Well, it works fin and all, but it is the ONLY app that I have that displays the stupid three dot menu. I can't type because they keyboard is shrunk due to the three dot menu on the bottom on the phone. Is there any way to remove that from the LINE APP?
I've searched for answer, but only a fix for HTC One X was found. Thanks in advanced.
BTW, I have ARHD ROM and have Sense 5 toolbox, but I don't see an option in there.
LOL no one uses Line? Or they don't care?

hey guys. I just got the LG G Watch R today and it's been a lot of fun to play with. however, when i use the "ok google" command to send messages (this happens on my phone as well, an HTC One M8), the message does not show up in the text messaging history. is audio history required to be on for these to be recorded? much thanks!

If you look below looks like at least 2 of us are having similar problems, although it is showing as sent on the phone doesn't actually send the text. Still waiting for someone to chime in myself and see if we can get it figured out, not a complete deal breaker but it does kinda stink.

thanks for replying. actually though, we're having different issues. for me, the text does go out, because i'm getting replies. however, my phone doesn't record what i've sent, so i can forget what's gone out and will get a reply to something i don't even remember. because i'm forgetful, i reaaaally wish they had a fix for it, and i haven't been able to find any sort of fix. or anyone else with this issue, for that matter.
see, i was in the middle of typing something earlier and forgot, so i deleted it -.-.

I was experiencing this also using an HTC One M8. It would show the message if I enabled SMS in Hangouts but then the message didn't show in the default messaging app. I decided to purchase Wear Messenger and use that instead. The app is worth it IMO for the ability to see my text message history/threads alone.
Hey guys,
first time poster here. So be gently.
I recently got myself a HTC One (M7) with Lollipop 5.0.2 (not rooted, no custom rom).
I just noticed something that drives me crazy. Whenever I get a notification from Whatsapp, Facebook or whatever, I get the initial notification sound and thats fine. But if I dont open those messages immediately the Smartphone keeps sending acoustig reminders every 20 seconds (or how long it takes). Is there any way to disable that?
I looked trough this forum but couldnt actually find anything or I am searching for the wrong terms.
Thanks in advance
Sincerely yours, Piero

Big thanks!
In german the option "Accessibility" is translated into "input help". So that explains why I could'nt find it.
