is this housing http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260453968402&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:US:1123 a FURTHER rip-off in quality as the OEM found here http://cgi.ebay.com/OEM-SONY-ERICSS...ries?hash=item2ea6dd8d1e&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14
i want to buy a new housing but i don't wanna buy one with less quality than the original
what are your thoughts on the pics there?
Judging by the pics both fascias seem identical. Although don't know why this big pricing difference. Maybe the first auction is for a replica housing? Don't have large pics as the second auction so we can tell for sure.
Also, at CNN http://cnn.cn/shop/sonyericsson-xperia-c-28_638.html the housings are pricey. For me go for the second auction or buy from CNN, you will be 100% sure that the housing is the OEM.
yeah i was looking at the $24.00 on ebay too... someone should buy it and tell me how it is
i think im gonna let this pass and sell my x1 as it is, im thinking of leaning towards the touch diamond 2 i will miss my keyboard but what the heck
Yo!
I ordered the $24.00 last week... When I receive the housing parts, I will take pictures and spread the message....
Fingers crossed......
Damn the cracks....Its a pity to sacrifice a gd device just now that some gd new things are coming....senseUI....Leo...sure it'll come for d2 too.....but no KeyBoard there.....I have ur very same problem...but I'll try the case !!
Received the housings yesterday.
They're certainly not OEM (maybe the backcover is, the rest not). The outside looks quite nice finished, the set is quite complete (with some tools for the fitting). From the two sets I ordered, one has a large gluestain on the top part of the housing (below the LCD). This gluestain damaged the paint. So I decided to start transferring the phone in the other housing.
After dissecting the phone I started with the assembly of the screen part. The speaker fitted not quite nice, so took some feddling to get mounted. At last it fitted (the print on top of the speaker fitted just). Closing the top part of the housing was a mess. The snap-locks didn't snap (partly) and on one side the housing did not flush fit. The (original) screws did not fit in the thread bushings.... With some fiddling I sort of managed to fit them. Then on with the bottom part. The new chrome buttons do not fit in the new chrome housing part.......
This is were I give up for yesterday. I think I'm going to rebuild the old housing en give up on the new one....
So.....
Decide for yourself if it's worth the trouble.... The housing looks quit neat (not as good as OEM though) but the fitment process is quite troublesome. Delivery was fast and the package is complete (including self-adhesive rubber for screen and speaker fitment). I will get in touch with the guy from Ebay with my findings.... Maybe I'm doing something wrong....
Will post some pictures tomorrow or something....
thnx ur comments were of gr8 benefit to me.....will be gladly w8ing for the pics !
thnx, ur comment were of gr8 benefit to me.....will be gladly w8ing for the pics !
thnx dude, im waiting on mine to be delivered,
looking forward for more reactions...
@Fliptil
From a scale from 0-10, how hard was it to do?
Before starting myself, I want to know if i'm capable of doing this.
To be honest, I know how to fix stuff, but don't know if I can do this trick..
Thanks for sharing anyway
Does anybody know, where i can buy a non branded battery cover for my sliver x1?
It is branded with T-Mobile, but i would like to have it blank or non-branded.
An original one is 25 € in ebay Germany. That's too much. So a cheap one would be fine.
Thanks in advice for all tips!
Best regards
Jog
ebay dude, i purchased one 2 weeks ago for about 10 GBP

OK guys....
I managed to revive the Xperia tonight.... It has become a hybrid with the metal (original) front and black backside. The middle part is also left original. So the only part I ended up exchanging has been the back cover.
First of all; kudo's to HTC for making the Xperia somewhat sturdy (at least the inside is...). The amount of mechanical havoc tha has been put through the innards of the phone are substantial... And still everything functions!!
After the initial assembly attempt a few weeks ago, I was sure that I had wrecked my phone trying to assemble it with the new housing. Some parts did not fit really well, and the (original) screws did not quite fit the (new) threaded bushings. Halfway through the assembly process I ran into the new chrome buttons not fitting in the new chrome middle part and I gave up on assembly for the time being. After recharging myself for a couple of weeks I forced myself to take up the task of finishing the assembly of the phone tonight...
First I had to disassemble the phone (I was halfway assembling it...) again. I decided to use the original front (had some scratch damage and a very small crack) to surpass the not-fitting thread bushings in the new part. This was a problem... One of the screws had settled in the not-fitting thread bushing and decided to not unscrew, but turn the bushing in the plastic instead. After trying careful and not damaging anything for some time I decided it was time for the hobby knife and screwdriver (as crowbar...). The new front cover did not survive this operation. The screw and the innards of the phone did however!! Reassembly using the old front cover was quite easy, as was reassembly of the back using the original middle part. In the new back part was the thread bushing missing for fixation of the speaker... I used the not-fitting bushing from the front cover as bushing for the speaker fixation. Off course after I made the bushing fitting by forcing the screw in the bushing using a sturdy screwdriver and a set of pliers. This bushing was hammered (carefully...) into the location where the bushing should have been.... This sort of worked. The new back cover does not fit as neat into the original middle part as the original back cover, but it did fit (with some force). The plastic lip that fixes the SIM card was a bit to long, so I had to cut of 0,5mm to make it fit the SIM card. And last but not least only one of the two new battery covers was able to get a grip on the phone...
Then came the thrilling moment to switch on the phone.... Everything worked as if nothing had happened!! So end good all good; I have a phone that looks quite neat (part brushed metal - part black) and functions.
If it was worth the hassle... I doubt it... When you've got a phone that is in pieces and you want spare parts to repair it (as cheap as possible and you like some hobbying) then go ahead and buy this housing. If you want a phone that looks as good as new (and you don't want to risk a heart attack or nervous break down) then I guess you're better off leaving this housing as it is.... For a phone that's worth a few hundred bucks I think this housing is not OK. For a scrapheap phone that needs revitalisation for a small amount of money than it's OK.... If I had to do it all again I think I would have gone for an OEM housing.... After all, I'm happy that my phone functions again so I can leave the TYTN at home. I was to stubborn to buy another housing...
This has become quite a story, hope it will be of any help to somebody. Now I must see if I can post some images....
Grreetz,
Ronald
Some pictures.... try if it works....
Hmm i've dropped my poor x1 on the concrete sidewalk as i got out of my car.
Amazingly it must be good quality because there are a only a couple of scratches on the front and some damage on the rubber around where the
stylus is, but otherwise everything works and is functional.
What this experience did, was got me lookin for spare parts in case I'd
ever need them. As a result I ordered from the same person on eBay 2 days ago
and I just now found this post. Needless to say, I'm damn scared that I've
wasted the money. You tried to fit the black parts on a silver X1, and mine is black,
so I'm crossing my fingers that for some unknown odd fantastical reason, it fits better on the black version. Also may ask whether your model is an x1i or x1a?
I'm guessing b/c its silver its an x1i but u can nvr be to sure. As for me, mine is
a black x1a. I'll post back if i have any updates.
Hi Nick.
I've got a X1i, as you had already guessed.... The mixing of the parts is also a bit of a risk.... The chrome middle part (original) has suffered some damages during my disassembly actions to start with... And has developed some new cracks in the use as a hybrid. Maybe I've overtightened some screws, or maybe the bottom part does not fit well enough so it develops to much tension I don't know...
I've decided to use the X1 till it dies, and to buy something else (no slide keyboard) a little bit more sturdy when it does. I am not going to do any repairwork on it. The design is simply flawed, I have had it repaired at SE once, when it came back it was broken again within two months. These stories can be found al over the internet, so I am not going to repair it again (just to get it broken again). I am not careful enough for a phone like this (however, my colleague also has a X1 that's broken and he is very careful...) I guess.
Just my two cents.
thanks fliptil I'll keep those things in mind.
Before i dropped my x1 for the first time. There was some kind of defect in the silver middle part. At first it was a slight crack so i thought nothing of it, until a piece fell right out of it. Until now i've never needed to go through the process
of getting something fixed and was my experience painful. I got mine through a carrier (Rogers) so I called them on the phone. I was on hold forever, and when I finally got through they told me I had to go to a rogers store to have someone
personally take a look at it.
I got to the store, got on their phone, and was on hold for 20 minutes. When I got through they told me they would connect me to a specific department.
Another 20 minute wait.
I got through and then gave the phone to a rogers employee there. He confirmed that it should be a defect as there were no signs of dropping it and then HE waited 20 minutes while the guy on the line called sony.
I waited all that time to find out that I cannot get it replaced through my carrier but had to go through sony themselves.
I looked up some stories of experiences with SE's services and found that most (if not all) of the time they replace your x1 with a refurbished one, and I wasn't about to trade a perfectly brand new one with a minor ding in it, for
one that could be potentially scratched up and badly treated.
Now that I've dropped it though I fear that whether the defect gets worse or not I cannot get Sony's warranty on it. However, after what you've just told me I don't think I want to. Here's to hoping that i won't have to do x1
surgery anytime soon...
Anyone ever used their products before? I haven't, but right now they are the only ones that are making a skin for the slide. I ordered one, guess we'll see.
Check it out: http://www.skinomi.com/mytouch-3g-slide-skin-protector.html
Please let me know. Ill likely wait for zagg unless these seem better.

Mine should be here any day now. I'll take some pics and maybe do a half ass review or something. I'm not going to promise some badass review but i'll do what I can
Has anyone received their skin? It's been over two weeks since I ordered mine and I haven't heard anything. I'm guessing that they were preselling them. I'm on my way to email customer service after this to see.

Same here. I called customer service and they told me that due to the enormous demand for the skins from the start they ran out and did not have enough. This was last friday I called. They told me that within 48 hrs mine would be shipped. It's the end of tuesday and no package. I'm calling them again tomorrow after work to see what's going on. I'll post more then.
In the meantime, phantomskinz has one for mt3gs now! Might be getting myself a refund and a phantom skinz. It's nice on my n1.
I emailed them this morning and got this reply:
"Somehow your item may have been lost during mailstream but thankfully has
been recovered. It is now currently on its way to you and you should receive
it either tomorrow or early Friday morning."
I was doubtful, but the delivery confirmation number they included seems to indicate it will be delivered tomorrow. Yay!
Got mine today will take pics tomorrow
Received mine yesterday. Tonight I face the semi-daunting task of applying it. I've never used anything like this before, hope it goes well!

So how did it go? Any tips on getting it installed smoothly?
I put it off until this morning. It went okay. Like I said, I've never used anything other than a static screen before. I got the full body Skinomi.
The screen looks great and I'm really not worried about that. The rest of it... eh. The back doesn't seem to fit right at all. I can't get the corners to stay down or even shape to the cover properly. The small strips along the top and bottom don't see properly shaped either.
I'll probably tear off the top and bottom strips, maybe the sides too. I'm going to work on the back a little bit and maybe even try to re-apply tomorrow.
Edit: Revisiting after an hour or so, I was able to fit the back quite a bit better. I think it might turn out okay. There's a little bit where the skin is hanging over the edge, so I might still re-apply, but we'll see.
i ordered a skin from them, and haven't heard anything from them. I've been trying to call, but no one answers and i can't leave a message because their voicemail is full. not sure if i should wait or take the issue up with my credit card company seeing as i emailed them a few days ago and have been trying to call for 3 days now.
I received mine after about a month. I also called a few times and they did answer. I went to install it and the only parts i can get to stick are the front pieces. Also the small front pieces are not cut well. I had to choose between letting part of the skin hanging off the edge or partially covering the genius button and home buttons. This skin and company is crap. DO NOT BUY!
Now i do have plenty experience installing phantom skinz, best skins ever, and a few others all with similar applications. Some are harder than others, but none are as ****ty as skinomi. Imma call them "****onmi" instead.
I have also been trying to call them for a week with no answer or means to leave a message. I call about 6 times per day.
My advice.. take it up with ur cc company and buy a phantom skinz. They are out for mts now. Best skin you can get, period. Also they send you 2 of them in case you mess up and have excellent customer service.
If anyone gets ahold of these assholes or finds a different phone number besides what is posted on their site, please update here. Thanx and good luck
Well i called my bank about them and they have a merchant number listed. Here is the number: 562-299-3784.
I called that and couldn't understand the guy at all, but after i got off the phone with that number, i was called by a 1-800 number from a guy from skinomi who said he'd have a CS rep contact me by the end of the day and if they don't they'd ship my purchase out.
This call was right after i disputed the purchase. I really just want a refund right now.
I ordered mine through Amazon and USPS tracking shows that it should arrive today, just over a week after I placed the order...
This is just a day after the original estimated date.
Sent from my T-Mobile myTouch 3G Slide using XDA App
yeah, i ordered a skin for my HD2 through amazon and everything went fine. This time though, i ordered through their website.
update on what they said though, i just got a call from the same guy and number, but no call from the CS rep. He said i'd have a call from CS within 5 mins, but we'll see how that goes.
Shouldn't the mods move this to http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=662
i got a call from someone at the posted number on skinomi's website. apparently, my order should have already been shipped out. I don't believe this because i would have gotten an update about it.
They said if i didn't get a confirmation/tracking number by a day soon to come (i couldn't tell 1/2 of what he was saying because his voice kept cutting out) that they'd ship me a new one next week free of charge next week if i emailed or called customer service.
I just sent another email asking if i could cancel my order before it's shipped because i'm done dealing with it and i just ordered one of the $2 screen protectors posted in another section.
EDIT: i got an email from the phone convo, i now have a tracking number and now have to contact my bank to cancel the dispute (as they have shipped me the item i ordered).
Well, my skin arrived (a day after their original estimate, but still only 9 days after ordering) and I installed the screen-only protector on my wife's Slide and the full-body protector on mine. Installation wasn't too hard, but it took time to get it right. I'll wait a few days to pass judgment on the appearance since fog of micro-bubbles should disappear in a few days and that's to be expected. Otherwise I must admit I'm slightly disappointed in the fit. The screen piece for example is about 1/16 of an inch too short and too narrow. Not enough to be a big deal, but it's noticeable. This was on both phones/protectors so it's not like one was miscut. The pieces to protect the top and sides of the front part of the phone don't even meet or completely fill the pieces they attach to. Irrelevant from a pure protection point of view, but the edges of the film now give the phone a "sharp-edges" feel where it used to be smooth plastic curves. I was also a little disappointed that the kit did not include a piece to cover the camera lens. If there's one part of the phone that must remain stratch-free to be able to function at it's best, that would be it.
The feel of the skin itself is pretty good. The back piece I suppose is slightly more tacky/softer feeling than bare plastic. The same goes for the screen vs the protector the phone shipped with. The difference is little enough that even now it doesn't bother me, and I imagine that in a matter of days it will smooth out and/or I'll be used to it and not even notice it anymore. It certainly isn't nearly a big enough difference to make me want to take it off.
I'll post again in a few days or a week and let you know how well the skin cleared up and how much I like it after some use.
I'll admit, the fit of the front pieces isn't perfect and the edge pieces are weird enough that I still think about peeling them off every day.
Overall, I'm pretty happy with it though. The screen and back pieces fit nicely (though not perfectly) and everything went on pretty well. For the edges and the corners of the back piece, you definitely need to keep going back to it every 15 minutes or so until they'll stick well.
I do have one corner of the back piece peeling up a little, so I might re-do that this week.
Oh, also regarding their CS: I got a timely response when I sent them an email and received my skin two days later. So email might be a better way to go.
Well, I've lived with it for a little over a week now...
The good:
The feel of the skin is pretty nice on its surface. It softens the feel where it covers the plastic and gives it a slightly grippier feel. On the screen the effect is minimal with the light touches required for normal use. If you tend to have a heavy finger on the touchscreen you might not be as happy with the feel. It seems to do a good job at resisting scratches, but I'm not rough on phones so it might not be showing any anyway.
The bad:
Even though the display looks nice and clear from most angles, at some I can still see a haze of microbubbles under it. The piece below the physical buttons on the front also has some bubbles under it that haven't gone away. Since I bought this so I could just carry it bare in my pocket, I really wish it didn't collect lint so easily under the edges of every piece. Those same edges also still have a kind of sharp feel which makes the phone feel like it has slightly poorly molded plastic in some places. Also, I'm still slightly annoyed by the screen protector piece being about 1/16" too small and leaving a tiny unprotected border.
Overall, I think I'll live with it for another few weeks and then I might give the Zagg Invisible Shield a try...
My Z3 compact used to be waterproof and I used it several times under water, but it went back for a replacement button a while back and recently I dunked it to take a photo and within hours a dead strip appeared on the touch screen, and when plugging a jack into the headphone port results in the volume control fluctuating and music randomly pausing/starting etc.
There is a tiny, tiny chip on the rear screen which I assumed would mean Sony would reject any warranty claim, but having opened the phone, the chip was so tiny it was still outside/on the adhesive. Inside the phone there is no sign of water ingress, but for good measure its left open and sealed in a bag with large desiccant sachets for 72 hours, no improvement.
So, my dilemma is, if I reclose the phone with the replacement back cover I have from ReplaceBase, will Sony be any the wiser that its been cracked open?
(I could buy the LCD and digitiser for £70 but as the headphone port is a different component, I'm wary that this will not resolve the issues Also looking at 'spares or repair' phones on eBay, it seems plenty of them have replacement screens that have lifted or remain proud of the chassis...perhaps this is just lack of care during the replacement but its put me off...)

I think you could probably have got away with sending it back with the screen chipped, it's just wear and tear, the issue was the waterproof feature had failed.
Now you've opened it I think it seems unlikely that you'll get it into a service centre unnoticed, but you won't know until you try. The obvious thing to do would be to put a genuine Sony back cover on the phone rather than a clone. If the service centre spot it then the worst thing that will happen is that they'll ask you for some horrendous amount of money to fix it, to which you'll decline, then they'll send it back.
It will cost you the postage to find out.
Otherwise there's dozens of how to videos on youtube and support from the threads here
Edit: a genuine Sony screen is expensive, but it comes with the double sided gasket that sticks the screen in place. This is the important part of the kit that makes sure it won't lift out. Sometimes it's worth paying the extra for original parts.
Very late update, tried it, it got repaired free and back very quickly, they even refitted the aftermarket rear cover!!
Sony's may be fragile, but my experience for two returns is very positive! Lesson - don't bother trying to fix it yourself until Sony have taken a look!

Yes, would be helpful to know which country... as I am having a hard time with the UK repair people.
They received my phone on 16th Sept. Week later get notified its delayed due to awaiting part. And yet they keep saying the same story everytime I ask and that it is escalated to know why the delay. 5 days since escalation but their support yet gives the sad response of awaiting part.
It was the UK...in my case the fix was prompt. Got be honest, I'd be getting frustrated at that length of delay...
It went back in June so maybe things have changed
It finally left the repair centre on 10th Oct. Says screen and case replaced. Seems fine. KK or Marshmallow is the decision to make now
3rd Whitedome Glass Failure. All after perfect installs & NO ISSUES until 3 weeks
Okay I am getting a little annoyed now..
I bought the whitedome glass for me and my wifes Note 8. Perfect installation. Glue spread perfectly and covered the entire screen. Dried perfectly not 1 bubble or spec of dust. 3 weeks later I wake up one morning and one of my edges looks like it lost adhesion and its peeling up and you can see the bubble/smudged glue under the screen not sticking to the glass of the phone anymore.
$50 later I ordered a new one and installed it again the same way. Perfect spread. No bubbles no dust nothing.
2 days after I put my new one on, my wifes phone starts doing the same thing!!! Now I have to order another one for her?
What a scam $50 bucks for it just to keep peeling up on the edges after 3 weeks... randomly overnight too... Only thing I can think of is CHEAP glue causing the issue. Amazon is prone to sending FAKE and CHEAP replacement items even on their "verified" sellers. Colognes, lotions, jewelry etc..
I contacted the manufacturer and they did not reply... on Amazon I contacted the seller and he said "Ask Amazon"... great customer service. FRAUDS.
I'd be furious too and would find another solution if I paid $50 for each glass. I just had to replace my glass today because the upper right corner came "unglued" - luckily I got a couple when Whitestone was having a blowout/EOL sale for nothing.

How did yours come unglued? Me and my wife have no idea what could have happened. It was literally overnight one day.
I just *****ed to amazon on their chat and they sent me a new one for free and refunded me one of the charges. Thats great and all but this is now the 2nd one on my wifes phone and i am already on my 2nd so what if they keep coming "unglued"...
mine's been going strong for a month and a half now.. no bubbles and no signs of adhesive wearing/screen becoming unglued. Also using it alongside a Spigen case too. I'd go so far as to say that the sceen protector is in 95% perfect condition since the install. Barely a hairline scratch to be seen.
Like Huey above, I've been using mine since Oct ~15th with no issues. It sounds like it could be curing issue if it happened twice where it's losing adhesion. Try using the sun to cure instead of the included lamp.
It's happened to mine also. It started losing adhesion on the right side of the screen out of nowhere. There was nothing touching that side of the screen so I was able to rule out anything pressing against the screen.

I'm sure mine happened from excessive pressure on the TGSP in the upper right corner. It's a tight fit in my front pocket of my jeans. Hopefully it doesn't happen again.
i got my whitestone 5 days ago, applied perfectly, everything is fine except that the glue on the right side of the edges are starting to show as white along the edges, a simple swipe of an alcohol pad took care of that
Mines been perfect on my Note8 and my wife's S8+ for over a month
wierdly mine has the same lift area as yours op. Although i want to say it was my fault cause i noticed it right after I went camping. So something must have happened while I was drunk roasting marshmallows

Whitestone should add a disclaimer, "Do not use while drunk roasting marshmallows"
I don't know if any of you have tried this. I had some bubbles come up on the top corner of my Whitestone Dome. Due to the case pushed a bit on it. It started late Saturday and continue to get larger. I was already contemplating replacing glass. I said let me give the heat gun a try. So I went ahead and heated that section up and then massaged it out. Now the bubbles are gone. I don't know if this is going to last. But as of right now I am bubble free. I did not cure it again but it might help after you massage bubbles out. I am at work and do not have my UV light with me.
As a lot of reviews mentioned, this glass can be broken easily.
Good for you guys that installation was perfect. Mine was a total waste. And i believe i received a scrap glue
My 2 cents worth... I installed Whitstone the first day on receiving my phone (sept 15) everything ok and was happy with the product, after doing my homework, brought a Caseology [Parallax Series] super fit and I was a happy-chappie Beginning of this week my phone fell.... no bs, a max 4cm, from the bathroom cabinet top into the first draw, it splinted heaps, I thought **** but ok better that than the phone right, now comes the shock looking for the replacement glass, guess what, they want another 40 euros, I've paid over 50 for the set, getting expensive! I contacted and wrote to Whitestone saying I only need a glass without anything else, could they give me a better price. They haven't bothered to answer me..... to which I'm using now AmFilm Dot Matrix 3D Curved Tempered Glass Screen which costs 12 euros and satisfied with. Cheers Collin.

They haven't bothered to answer me..... to which I'm using now AmFilm Dot Matrix 3D Curved Tempered Glass Screen which costs 12 euros and satisfied with. Cheers Collin.

Similar experience in terms of customer services, there's a problem with the glass I got. I contacted them via Amazon and they said they would send me another kit. However, it has been 20 days since and I got nothing. I message them again a week ago and no response.

They said they would send a replacement but I have yet to receive anything and they never responded to the following messages, just the initial one.
Glad I read all the feedback regarding this screen protector on here, I was looking at purchasing one but they definately won't be getting my money now!
They sound like a very shady company.
I think the glue has an issue with dealing with pressure after being cured. Now, I have beginnings of lines on the left side of my phone with the 2nd install. It's either a case of pressure/glue, or a case of manufacturing inconsistencies with the "flatness/curves". Surface reflections on this 2nd TGSP are different at the curved edges compared to the first TGSP I had on.
i am having a similar problem.
on the left side of the glass, i am seeing the glue starting to lift. very little, but its a fine line starting to show.
i have UAG monarch case, it line up good, no corner pushing it and i try to push in the corners just check.
so i believe the glue is not sustainable for long-term in and out of your pocket and hot/cold temperatures, and also pressure on it all the time. but at least is much better to clean and take off.
i guest that's how whitestone is making their cash.
because other loca glues are just not that safe to try.
oh well.
No competitor out there with them. so they are still charging us 50. and only 1 glass. goddamn.
Received the watch 3 today after finally ordering late last week. Was planning to trade in my S3 Frontier (I also have the Galaxy Watch).
However the Watch 3 box looks to have been opened on 1 end as the tape is completely separated. Anyone else have this problem?
Also I'm used to seeing perfectly clear tape on the box but this tape is already yellowing which could mean it was exposed to heat. This box can't be that old.
I haven't turned it in yet or even taken it out of the box. Still trying to decide if it's worth $350 after trade in especially after it arrived open.
There is 2 seals (one on each side) normally.
This one is simple rubber, but the top one is white with some stuff written on it. Was it also cut ?
The rubber on your pics seems damaged and dirty...
Not acceptable at this price point, did you buy directly from samsung shop ?

Yes, ordered directly from Samsung.
The first pic is the bottom seal, it was definitely cut. The other pic is the top seal. It wasn't cut but is definitely yellow.
I agree on the price point. I requested a return this morning and dropped it off to FedEx this afternoon. I'm getting a refund. Maybe I'll look to upgrade in a few months but receiving a package like that left a bad taste in my mouth.
Bummer, but wise move to get it replaced!
