HTC One Wont Boot - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Okay, so I returned to to stock yesterday using the correct htc1guru rom. After OTA by phones screen goes pixelated blue and then pink and stops on the htc splash screen. Ive tried re rooting and flashing a custom rom to no avail. I don't have a back up as my PC died and now its stuck on an old update. Does anyone have any idea? I'm going to flash a nandroid back up offline of the uk unbranded htc one but htc1guru is down so I can't download it.
Thanks

Bump. Desperately need this fixed.

HTC1Guru is back up! Have you tried a factory reset from the bootloader screen? Make sure you check the MD5 of the files you download to avoid a corrupt file. It is difficult to help you when you already have a plan in place and are waiting some action from another source. Which seems like a reasonable way out of your issue. Nor did you provide any information on what CID, MID or OS version!

I'll look when I get home from work. I was using paranoid android 4.6 beta 3. Never flash new firmware or radio. My cid is htc u 001 and mid is pn1000. (I'll check exactly as soon as I'm home) the nandroid back up is corrupted. Yes I have tried factory reset

Heres my phone detail. Any Help at all?

From the looks of it you have already updated the phone to the latest firmware.
Try flashing this firmware>> http://xda7.androidrevolution.org/db_mirror/Firmware/HTC/HTC_One/401/6.09.401.5.zip
and then TWRP 2.6.3.3
and then use this Stock rooted system twrp backup http://goo.gl/zN5ARs or mirror http://goo.gl/tvT1z2

[Q] HTC One Tampered & Unlocked stuck in bootload - HELP!

Hi
My HTC One is stuck on bootload and won't get to recovery.
It says that it's Tampered and Unlocked, and it won't turn on.
I tried to flash recovery with All in one tools, even though it says in the computer that recovery was flashed, it won't get into recovery either way.
Previously it was stuck in boot loop and I tried to flash the stock room from recovery, but it rebooted and that's how it got stuck there..
There is another line in bootload that says "Active cmdline overflow! (1032 Bytes)
Is it bricked? Can I do something to get it back to normal..
Factory reset doesn't work.
Here is a picture of how it looks.. (The last line is not visible)

It doesn't work cos you are on HBOOT 1.57, you need to back flash to HBOOT 1.44 I do believe to fix active cmdline, and to do that you need s-off, basically, you flashed the wrong kernel for your phone and corrupted one of the blocks.
read that whole for a possible fix, you wont beable to do anything with your phone until its active cmd is fixed.

[Q] It seems my phone lost its OTA capability for ever

I googled and forumed couple of days, and tried RUU exe and zip way, Ndroid backup way, to get my phone back to original stock status, however, once I go back to stock, it will not receive any OTA update. I double checked CID, MID, they are correct and matched with current installed software, I also tried apply OTA file manually, there is a red triangle on the screen, a serious help is needed, thank you all.

thanks for your reply.
I tried among locked/unlocked/relocked bootloaders but no lucky. And i am not quite sure how to quick locate the missing files, I think something wrong with system files, but I think RUU will take everything back to original, am I right?
Manually update will bring me to the red triangle screen.

Need help. I have no OS, and can't install ROMs

Hi.
I rooted my HTC One M7 with CWM as my custom recovery. It all worked fine.
Now, I bought a Chromecast and needed Android 4.4.2+ for screen mirroring, so I decided I wanted to update it.
I couldn't do it, I guess I had to unroot first. So I did a lot of crazy ****, nothing worked.
Now, I followed this, but I'm stuck on the HTC boot logo (white screen). I have TWRP v2.7.1.0a
Even after installing the ROM from sdcard after using adb push rom.zip /sdcard/rom.zip , it says that the installation failed.
Here's my getvar all, notice main version is empty, and I can't find an RRU for my radio / cmid anywhere!!!

[Q] I want to get my phone to get ota updates

Hi guys,
To make a long story short, I messed up my phone to a soft brick, revived it, and am now trying to get it back to near normal. I am currently running 6.09.401.12 odex rom by mike1986 on my at&t htc one m7. Question is, is it possible to get an ota update by downgrading my rom to an at&t rom lower than 5.12.502.2? And then get an OTA update? As an aside, on mike's rom (for international htc one) the gps takes a very long time to lock and only shows a blue dot on google maps/no compass mode. Dont know if this has to do with different type of rom or not. So how can I get back to stock while being S-ON? And I accidentally deleted my nandroids while wiping my pc (I know really stupid I did not flash a new radio/using stock radio. Here is output of system getvar:

What recovery are you using (name + version)?
What was the version of all the rom you tried?
Newer Sense roms based on lollipop requires a 7.xx.xxx.x firmware (yours is 4.xx.xxx.x) and at least twrp 2.6.3.3 is requires to flash Sense based roms, 2.7.1.1 for CM based roms. So use an older rom (kitkat or JB base) with the proper recovery version. Then you should be able to achieve s-off if you want so you can change your CID/MID and flash a RUU
Thanks for the answer, after trying all night long i just solved the problem, installing a ROM removing all the apps from HTC and Google, after the phone started i flashed the ROM again and everything went perfect.
