Because you are not meant to drop it is the screen cracked? Is it unusable? Then wtf are you complaining about.

Depends on how its build, the glass strips are probably just decorations and not part of the real casing.

Do you think the speaker grill will pop off in the future? I just realized mine has quite a gap, you can slide a paper in.
But I don't want to resort to warranty since I have already been using it for a month plus, and got stuff working and all.
The grill I have in question is the bottom one.
I don't know how strong the glue supporting the bottom grill is.
if it comes off, stick it back on with superglue

the method of heating the grill and clamping it down (was a thread about it somewhere) is probably an option to try. i might try it on mine too since the gaps are getting big..

Dang.. That sounds kind of too much for me. I guess I just gotta put my faith on HTC's glueing process or hopefully it pops off at least before my warranty.
yea..just use superglue..
i use those very liquid glue to stick it back..now its gapless...just apply very very little and its enough..
just wanna avoid the liquid from dripping to the speaker girll..^^

Wow how did you managed to get the glue inside the gap? I mean I know it's quite a gap, but I don't think it's THAT wide to be able to squueze glue in..
Are the gaps really that much of a concern? I have a bit of a gap on the top speaker grill, but I have a case on the phone too. I don't even notice it now. I'm more concerned about the durability of "Gorilla Glass." I've had 3 iPhones now and I've never scratched my screen. I've owned the HTC One for a month and I've got two scratches already...

thats why u have to use liquid glue..just apply a little the on gap and quickly press the grill to close the gap
and of course quickly wipe off the glue that you pressed out..

For me it's more of a durability thing. I'm just afraid it will pop out from the glue losing it's strength in the future.

Well, if you're gonna use instant glue, you're prolly gonna end up sticking your fingers to the thing... so.
It might work if you have someone else hold it upside down and you're REAL careful.

there's a black spot on the back is there a way to remove it? doesn't come off using pencil eraser or rubbing it with my fingas.
Dirt spots can be easily removed by applying Isopropyl alcohol. It is fairly easy to obtain. I am not responsible if this damages your device, but handle with care and you should be fine.

If the rubbing alcohol says isopropyl alcohol/ isopropanol, use it. If it has ethyl alcohol/ ethanol, turn away and run as fast as you can

Awesome, I ordered the middle plate (has the bezel and holds the internal battery) and the white battery cover. This will turn the phone from the blue variant to the white variant completely...all for about $60.

Damnit, so does it feel something like the black Nexus 5? that weird soft/gel type feel?
Also, looking at the middle plate that I ordered and it seems like I only need to swap out the camera and a couple of other things. The small delicate pieces seem to come with the new housing. The battery being the biggest thing to have to remove, should go smoothly tho since I'm not separating the digitizer from the front glass.
Did you have any hiccups or anything like that?
Oh, I have a white Moto X and it looks like the sim tray is the same part number as the tray of the Nexus 6, so I'll just swap them over. Where did you find the replacement battery cover for the Moto X Pro?

Ohhh you did the polishing thing? That's awesome. What all did you have to transfer over from your complete middle plate to the new white plate? I'll be able to tell once I get my hands on it but it would be nice to know what to expect.
If there was a way to flat black the entire bezel, I'd be down for that. Similar to the black HTC one.

Mine came with the adhesive already attached. It is a real pain in the a$$ to get the stock one off. I use a heat gun to warm it up a little and it helped a lot!
At first I thought it might be tough to line the new one up on the first try but it was easy. I pulled off the adhesive backing fully and then lined the top up with the camera hole and it went down fine.

All of the parts came in the mail yesterday, so that's the middle plate, tools and white back battery cover (with adhesive attached). I went through TMO to get yet another warranty replacement since my power button is kind of wonky, so I'll have a couple of N6's to take apart and compare to make sure things are done correctly.
Thanks for the tips.

I was going to wait to switch to my polished aluminum frame until I got another back because I when I took my stock blue one off I scratched it up a bit.
But since I found that video I went ahead and switched the frames out again before the other back I ordered came.
I don't think I have ever received so many compliments on a phone (and I've had almost every flagship phone) as I have on my Nexus 6 with the polished aluminum frame and Moto X Pro back.
Just looked inside my stylus hole for the first time and boy do I wish I hadn't. Half the paint seems scratched off, not like it matters what your phone internals look like but I still feel a brand new phone shouldnt appear this way? Anyone else have this or is my unit just unlucky?

You may need to grease your S-Pen.
Funny i actually noticed the exact same thing.
It's not missing paint. The metal structure for the internal part where the pen goes is deisgned this way, probably for ease of manufacturing. The plastic is beneath the metal wrap-around is normal, the metal inside just isn't completely covering the structure. Not a defect. Look closely.
I had to laugh when I read this thread - really - ? Nothing against the OP - but how hard do you have to look to even see down there?
