Button my on S-Pen doesn't bring up Air Command. Yes, Air Command is enabled. Any thoughts? Any way to test if the S-Pen button registers at all?
Do a double press, see if that works
Guess I can delete this, the damn thing started working.

For me I realized you have to point the pen at the device closely and then when you see a circle on your screen then you have to push the button then it works

when cycling between the homescreen, when we start cycling the home screen and not remove the finger from screen but drag finger down to the capacitive buttons area, home screen can still be cycled. this also works when scrolling the apps. Can this be used by devs for any thing.?

For what?
What I have noticed. Is somehow when I'm messing about I end up hiding the dock, I've got no idea how to get it back. Last night I hid it 4 times and only managed to get it back once without restarting the phone.

Still cm7? I think small swipe up at bottom of screen hides, down shows.
Genius.

You should give GO Launcher a try. It wipes the floor with ADW
Ive had a look at it, but got to admit im pretty happy with how my phones is set up now. Got it looking how i like it. The only thing that annoys me that jet black status bar. Id like it transparent but i dont believe thats possible unless i get a new theme or ROM.

Nice find
Seem to be having real issues at the moment with a lack of response from these buttons. Don't remember the phone being like it when I first got it in fact it seemed very responsive. I find now I am having to press the back button several times or even kind of having to slide my finger over the button to get it to resister. I can recall a previous phone of mine having a very similar issue, think it was the Sony erricson satio but really did spoil the operation of the phone.
Anyone else experience this?

Operation of the dock shortcuts is fine as is the sensitivity of the home screen, even with the screen protector on, it's just the back and home button.

There has been a few threads on this, seems like a common issue. However theyre apparently looking at a software update to improve sensitivity- https://twitter.com/htc_uk/status/319748247075819520
I can confirm it... Is that a software problem?

I'm having the same issue, which is starting to annoy me. Not sure whether these things get worse or not, but as my wife's hasn't got the same issue, I'm not sure it's software??!! Should we be asking for the phone to be changed???
Is there supposed to be vibration when pressing the soft keys? I'm not getting any vibration and it would go some way towards helping me with the responsiveness of the buttons.

This is a software issue in the kernel.. HTC or the XDA developers should have no issues fixing it

Agreed. It's more the lack of feedback that makes them difficult to use. I have the feeling that they are sensitive enough. The problem is that there is no feedback. You just don't know where the tap is registered.

Vibrations can be enabled through settings.
I have to use my thumb to use them, they don't register my finger at all, just so annoying, I would rather a home button like the GS2.

I have it set in "Settings" -> "Sound" -> "Vibrate on touch" but I still dont get any vibrate on soft key press.
Vibrations for the capacitive buttons are turned off if you have the power saver on, regardless if you've turned vibrations on via settings.
For some reason I'm getting a much better response from the Back and Home keys when I use nova launcher as opposed to the stock sense launcher.

Ah thank you, it's working for me now.
This afternoon when I pulled my spen out I noticed some serious issues. For some reason in any ROM I use stock or otherwise, the spen acts very weird. I have no idea how this happened as I haven't damaged the pen in any way.
Just having it hovering above the screen for some reason it thinks that I'm touching the display. I can open apps, long press, and swipe all by having the pen hover over the display. The cursor does not show up at all, but pressing the button opens air command and it then brings up the cursor, but only until you select something from the air command wheel.
Any solution to this? Its driving me nuts as I use the spen quite often.

Pretty much the same thing happened to me. It drove me crazy trying to find a fix and finally I just bought a replacement pen and that did the trick. I got my replacement for cheap on Amazon.
Aw man, I wasn't looking to spend any money but oh well. Thanks a lot for your help.

Use tool suplied with phone remove, clean and reinsert the tip. It may solve your problem. It sound like tip is stuck inside pen.

This fixed it perfectly. Just used a dust can to blow whatever was inside my spen, and it works flawlessly.
I have tried googling for help but all I get are links about styli being inserted the wrong way, very frustrating and dumb. However, I am having an issue with my stylus not being detected when I remove it. Its very intermittent. Like sometimes the screen detects the stylus cursor but the air commands show up after a minute. It makes the screen off note taking useless cause it doesn't even trigger that. I have never inserted the stylus wrongly.
Anyone in same boat? What do I do?
Yes. I also have same problem in my Note 5. What I did, I disabled Power saving option in Stylus settings and now it always works. Although the off-screen note feature still doesnt work immediately as the phone takes a few moments in detecting the stylus.
A friend was talkiing about this to me one day... I'll ask him tomorrow when I see him what he did.

I disabled the power saving too, its a bit better but the screen on memo still takes almost a minute to work. Defeats the purpose of having the feature.

Whatd he say
I find the ability to pin a screen off memo to the AOD very useful, cause I get quite busy at work and tend to forget to follow up with things, and this kind of forces me to see it. However, screen off memo seems a little finicky in terms of how long it stays up for, making sure my screen is actually locked when I pull out the pen, etc. Sometimes if I have the phone already on and I want to pin a note, I have to lock it, put the pen in, then pull the pen back out just to get screen off memo to activate.
Is there a way to just pin any note I make in samsung notes to the AOD? This would be a lot more usable in many situations.
I also am looking for a solution to this. My scenario is very similar to yours.
The closest option I could find was pinning a note to the home screen.
I am hoping this is just a minor oversight by Samsung and the function may be added in something like "SmartLock"

Activate screen off memo by locking screen while spen is out and double tapping it by spen button pressed.
Always worked for me. No need to reinsert spen.
Neat feature to add multiple screen off memos too.

Ya? I cant get that to work. Two taps doesn't do anything.
I did note that you can change the Note Type in the Notes app. I changed one to a screen off memo but I still cant get it on lock screen :crying:

It one click of the spen button if your spen is already out and you turn off the screen. Make sure the spen is hovering over the screen or it will just try to unlock your phone.

This works. Also, if you already have a pinned note, it can be edited by just tapping the note with the s pen.
