Not noticing anything different. Do you have any adblocker type software installed?

Anyone else getting a lot of crashes with Google Chrome in the XDA forums? Starting to drive me nuts and it seems to only be happening here.
Not here but still prefer Opera 11 as my default browser

Er... No. Chrome seems stable... what are you doing that's causing it to crash? Any extensions that might be dodgy?

A little old perhaps? Stable Chrome for the mass market is v8, and that one talks v6?
Firefox 4 beta. Works better than Firefox 3 for me.
I use the canary build of Chrome. Since it includes features too unstable to be included in even the dev channel it does crash, but I haven't noticed more problems than usual accessing XDA. I also have both Opera and Firefox installed but find Chrome way faster. Just my very humble opinion.

yes while on Internet Explorer or any other browser I fling my finger as hard as I can to get to the bottom of a page like in ics but now I need to do this 5 times to get to the bottom there seems to be a slowdown that doesn't allow the page to scroll smoothly it always comes to a stop as soon as I lift my finger off the screen? someone tell me I am not the only one that noticed this?
btw jb feels like a downgrade... "always, just once" wtf.
It's the same on other devices, for example galaxy s2 with 4.1.2 so it is JB.

You can use opera mobile or opera beta, scrolling is fast and it displays a button when scrolling that goes to bottom of page

I did and it is the same thing with both opera and the default internet app. i think they were trying to make it feel snappy and not smooth because if you touch slow it pushes but if you slide it pushes and scrolls a little bit, hitting a break and slowing down fast also diuble tap when scrolling no longer makes it go faster.

I managed to upload some videos of the incredibly annoying typing lag I experience on my Note5. I've got the running process showing and you can see how weird the keypresses get at the end of each one.
Here they are:
https://youtu.be/eQ-HgtMmCFg
https://youtu.be/yW970htrhU8 (Note the touches keep going while all keypress popups and text entry stops.)
https://youtu.be/NRuLXa6m3mA
Does anyone else experience this?
Here http://i.imgur.com/6zcUZ17.png is a nice screen shot showing just how annoying the overlaping stuff can be.
Any help is appreciated.
I know it's annoying having an issue list this out of the box, but no one claims Samsung is good a developing software. I'd say go for a 3rd party keyboard. I'm using Google's and it's smooth as butter.

Wow. I'd say root and flash a ROM and kernel, but if you're having these issues while stock, who's to say you won't have other issues after rooting? Unfortunately I'm not sure what else to do. Sorry, man. I hope you get it worked out.

Hey First of~~ Mine is s6e+ I have heard that issue from s6e+ users too(with swype keyboard). I would suggest you to turn off keyboard Pop upping but that would be odd If you like it..(I like when it pops up)~
Im using Touchpal for long years, and can prefer you to try(If not) and recorded a >>VIDEO<< to show how it works on mine anyway.. Lol ignore the background music etc.. Good luck.

Thanks.

Hello,
I use the app evernote and I use the regular version not the paid. So once I'm able to fill the document with 3-4 pages worth of data- the keyboard, typing or editing becomes so laggy that it's mind boggling.
It's come to a point where I write the notes in my regular SMS and then cut/paste it to evernote so I don't have to sit through the unbearable lag.
Is it just me?
Any other apps which are exactly similar but non-laggy?
TIA

Have you tried using a different keyboard? Google keyboard is available on the play store and I personally think it's much better than the stock one.

Has anyone checked if this article is trustworthy?
It's saying that Oreo is unofficially available for the US versions of the Note 8.

Personally, I won't be updating anything until it comes through officially via updates on the phone! I'm not going to muck about with my €1000 investment! I'm not even rooting this one! Usually I root to get rid of adverts but it seems that the Samsung adblockers seem to work well and paying €20 odd for their Disconnect Pro has stopped 90% of adverts coming through!

If you use Samsung internet there is an option to install! Disconnect Pro is more of a system wide adblocker, but doesn't always work ... especially Facebook!

I don't use my phone all that much, so ads don't matter to me. My wife's on hers all the time and gets so pissed off at the ads on Chrome. Especially the popups that block the whole screen and you have to tap a tiny little X to close.
